ENGHIEN - 1st March Trainer of the day : Sébastien Guarato (307, 408, 809) Jockey of the day : Franck Nivard (115, 307, 407, 516, 603, 705) Horse of the day : Afghan Barbés (113) Dark Horse : Vakato (215) Race 1 1. UNE DE VILLETOT - Has pleased this winter for the most part but she will need to improve on her latest effort in order to finish in the mix 2. KING OF THE WORLD - Very consistent German trotter that has been on fine form this winter. Disqualified last time when going well and with stride in check will be dangerous 3. AZARO D'EVA - Respectable sort that continues to endure stride issues but he is well-placed on the front line and if applied could have a say here 4. URANIE DU GLAY - Decent mare that has only once been out of the first four since November. She makes a long journey to race here and on this flat surface must be afforded respect

5. AUCH - A tough campaigner when going barefoot which is the case here. Acquitted himself well behind Ah Quel Micha last time and is sufficiently well placed behind the car to finish in the first five 6. UBANJI - Handy trotter in a lesser category but difficult to envisage him shaking things up 7. PIKE RIVER - Has begun to make up for lost time. Comes here fresh and will be one to note 8. BAZIR DIMANCHE - Very consistent type that left quite the impression at Vincennes ten days ago ahead of a number of others here and is eminently capable of repeating 9. ORCHETTO JET - Last made the frame almost three years ago and is simply not a realistic proposition 10. URIAL D'HARCOUEL - Has been struggling to find his way since having some health issues. Acquitted himself respectably last time but a tough ask all the same 11. AH QUEL MICHA - Back in business following a lean patch. Impressive at a better level late January and a repeat effort would see him go close 12. GREENLEAF SLIM - Talented Swedish sort that was unlucky in the race of reference but with a clear run this time can make the first three 13. AFGHAN BARBES - Very hard to knock him at present. Comes here off three straight Quinte wins and despite the second line start still looks the one to beat 14. ALEX THE WINNER - Enjoyed a productive run of form before taking a break. Makes his first start since October and little expected 15. QUEASY - Regularly in the thick of things. Finished a place behind Bazir Dimanche last time at Vincennes and if he can overcome the draw he should not be far off the mark 16. ALEXIA DU CHERISAY - Finished a solid but surprise fourth in the race of reference but from wide on the second line will not find this the easiest of tasks (13) AFGHAN BARBES has turned a corner this winter and in spite of the second row start he has every chance of achieving the four-timer. He can still expect some opposition from (8) BAZIR DIMANCHE whose latest effort at Vincennes caught the eye, and his stablemate (12) GREENLEAF SLIM who incurred all sorts of problems last time out. (2) KING OF THE WORLD benefits from a plum spot behind the car and must be considered a serious threat, while if (11) AH QUEL MICHA can maintain his upward trajectory he should be able to finish in the money.

(13) AFGHAN BARBES - (8) BAZIR DIMANCHE - (12) GREENLEAF SLIM - (2) KING OF THE WORLD - (11) AH QUEL MICHA - (5) AUCH - (15) QUEASY - (7) PIKE RIVER

Race 2 1. UNITED POINIERE - Not the most productive horse in the field. Has never made any impact under the saddle and can be written off 2. URANUS TEPOL - Consistently gives a good account of himself. Well beaten at a better level last time but in this class should be in a position to challenge for a spot in the first three 3. VERY PAN - Tough type that has proved himself in this category but going fully shod after two months off does little to help his plight 4. UPPERCUT DU BANNEY - Last made the frame this time twelve months ago and is once again unlikely to worry the opposition 5. AMIE A LA BRUYERE - Undeniably capable but has been sanctioned in six of her last eight and is not easy to trust 6. URIAKO DE VILLIERE - Tends to give a good account when unshod behind and although up against some better types he should be afforded some credit 7. AZALEE DE BOMO - Moderate mare that has consistently disappointed this term and can be confidently disregarded 8. ARTIST KELAU - Horse with respectable aptitude but has looked very ordinary since late December and can be passed over 9. VOLCAN D'ESPOIR - Decent sort with nothing to prove under these conditions but has disappointed over the last 2.5 months and is unlikely to generate much interest 10. ACCORD MARJACQ - Very useful type that has form in better company but has been struggling of late and will need to reassure 11. VICTOIRE DE COSSE - Has shown decent consistency over the winter. Drops in class and on current form looks the pick of the bunch 12. VAINQUEUR D'ECHAL - Erratic but not without ability. Returns to a flat track and should prove good enough to make the first five 13. ACTEUR DU HAMEL - Enjoyed a brief but profitable stint at Vincennes before the new year. Returns after a two-months break but can expect to get straight back down to business 14. VEZAC DUOPHI - A tricky but capable customer that was trounced on his comeback ten days ago. Remains fully shod but should show improvement 15. VAKATO - Very consistent sort when unshod. Has shown decent aptitude for the ridden code and could find himself in the mix at the business end of the race 16. ABO STAR - Hardy sort under the saddle and has previously won in better company over track and trip. Has raced just twice since October but is a major player all the same

17. VALTESS - Has made no impact on the track this winter and can be confidently ruled out 18. URANIE D'ALLOER - Good consistent mare in this branch of the game. Has just one start in her since August but will be one to watch all the same (11) VICTOIRE DE COSSE is seldom far off the mark in this discipline and the nature of her latest performance at Vincennes will have won over many. She will however be pitted against the tough (16) ABO STAR who will have freshness on his side. (13) ACTEUR DU HAMEL was very productive before taking a spell and over this trip should not be underestimated. (2) URANUS TEPOL has not been out of the first five since late October and should maintain this run but he can still expect some pressure from (12) VAINQUEUR D'ECHAL who should appreciate the flatter track. (11) VICTOIRE DE COSSE - (16) ABO STAR - (13) ACTEUR DU HAMEL - (2) URANUS TEPOL - (12) VAINQUEUR D'ECHAL

Race 3 1. SCHUBERT - Hardy sort that has been on a good run of late but takes a big step up in class and will need to find more 2. STARO ITALY - Has looked distinctly ordinary this winter and can expect to have too much to do 3. STAY ALERT - Respectable trotter that consistently gives his best however in this company he will need to raise his game substantially 4. SYLVESTER AMERICA - Serious Scandinavian raider that enjoyed little luck behind Scellino Luis last time but should show improvement on this occasion 5. BRASIL DE BAILLY - Sprang a surprise when runner-up to Ble Du Gers last time but a repeat looks decidedly unlikely 6. BLACK D'ARJEANC - Encouraged when third to Ble Du Gers three weeks ago but he will still need to take his game to the next level 7. BLE DU GERS - Currently at the top of his game and bidding for a hat-trick although he looks more a minor place prospect this time around 8. OCHONGO FACE - Back in business following a brief lean patch. Tough winner of a Class B late January and can play a small role here 9. SCELLINO LUIS - Hardy Swedish raider that has taken well to racing in France. Left a good impression in a G.III last time and will justifiably garner a lot of support 10. BEL AVIS - Delicate sort but is undefeated at Enghien and with four shoes off for the first time has every chance of scoring yet again 11. BAXTER DU KLAU - Won three of his four races at Vincennes this winter. Boasts a decent turn of foot and should again prove dangerous 12. BADIUS DE TILOU - A shadow of his former self since winning a G.II last May and once again appears to have nothing to offer Unbeaten at the venue and with four shoes off for the first time it is difficult to envisage (10) BEL AVIS being beaten provided he can keep his stride in check. He is unlikely to have it all his own way however given how well (11) BAXTER DU KLAU has been acquitting himself of late. (9) SCELLINO LUIS has transitioned well to French conditions and should appreciate the Enghien surface, but he can still expect some resistance from the on-form (7) BLE DU GERS who gets the benefit of a Franck Nivard drive this time.

(10) BEL AVIS - (11) BAXTER DU KLAU - (9) SCELLINO LUIS - (7) BLE DU GERS

Race 4 1. DUC DE PORHLEGAL - Moderate individual that has struggled to make the grade and will again have his work cut out 2. DUC D'ALLOER - A modest sort in both codes and has not done enough to warrant much support 3. DANDY DU ROSAY - Mixes the good with the less good. Disqualified here last week but should not be entirely ruled out 4. DECOSTER VALLEE - Never out of the first three when keeping stride in check. Makes his Paris debut and looks good enough to finish in the money 5. D'ARTAGNAN DU PONT - Lost his way early in the season and has shown no sign of an imminent return to form 6. DARCY DE TOUCHYVON - Has made excellent progress in this code over the last month. Just missed out at Vincennes three weeks ago but should come up trumps this time around 7. DELTA FAC - Tricky sort but has ample ability. Returns from a spell but must nonetheless be taken seriously 8. DUC DU QUENNE - Somewhat delicate but has talent in spades. Close third to Darcy De Touchyvon early last month and with hind shoes off again he should make a big impact 9. DIAMANT DU DERBY - Useful trotter but erratic. Makes his ridden debut with hind shoes off for the first time and will be one to watch 10. DAMIANO BELLO - Won his first start barefoot and was not disgraced in better company last time. Shoes off again and expected to play an important role 11. DREOLE VERDERIE - Gave a fine account of himself on ridden debut early January but has twice fallen foul of the stewards since. If behaved however he should make his presence felt 12. DREAM D'IRATY - Continues to chase that elusive first win. Has made no impression all winter and will have nothing to offer 13. DIAMANT DE TREABAT - Acquitted himself well on his only start at the venue. When applied he is never far from the action but is fully shod here and can be ruled out 14. DRIVERIGO D'EAM - Still a maiden from twenty starts and will need to find more in order to make any impact (6) DARCY DE TOUCHYVON keeps progressing in this discipline. He was

denied a maiden victory by little last month but should make up for that here. (8) DUC DU QUENNE finished close on that occasion and again looks a serious challenger, although he has previously been beaten by (7) DELTA FAC who can be expected to put on the pressure once more. (10) DAMIANO BELLO drops back down the ladder and with shoes off this time can legitimately compete for a place in the frame. (6) DARCY DE TOUCHYVON - (8) DUC DU QUENNE - (7) DELTA FAC - (10) DAMIANO BELLO

Race 5 1. BARAKA DE BELFOND - Always gives her best but has finished no closer than fifth for the last eight months and can be confidently overlooked 2. VIKING DE L'ABBAYE - Has done nothing of note under harness for an extended period and will have nothing to offer once more 3. VEOH D'HAGUE - Decent type in the provinces but has been disappointing recently and is unlikely to generate much interest 4. AS DODIENVILLE - Has been on fine form this winter and most recent effort closer than the result implies. Starts from the front line and can play an important role 5. VICTOIRE LANDEMER - Got back into the game at Toulouse twelve days ago and if she can reproduce that effort she could get a look in 6. ALCESTE - Has previously proved himself in the claiming category but is enduring a shocking run and can be ruled out 7. BLUE WINNER - Has struggled for some time to leave his mark and even from the front line will have too much to do 8. ANAIS - Looks a modest type on paper but is considerably better than the formsheet indicates. Acquitted herself well on her return despite the sanction and if on good behaviour should go close 9. VALENTIN DU LOISIR - Considerably better individual going right-handed and recent performances do little to inspire confidence 10. VILLAGE NATAL - Thoroughly off the boil since the autumn and not expected to make any impression on his first start for two months 11. VALFLEURY - Moderate sort that has better form in the amateur division. Well-beaten last time at Mauquenchy and will need to show improvement 12. VENUS DE LA BOETE - Useful dual-purpose mare making her first start since mid-june. Is unshod behind for the occasion though and will be one to monitor 13. AUTRE NUAGE - Has been showing good aptitude going barefoot lately. Would have finished second here last week had he not broken stride and if applied this time should impose 14. VERY NICE KYSS - Not the most productive of horses but he encouraged on comeback at Grenade mid-february and will be worth a second look 15. VIVALDI - Now looks a horse more suited to this level of competition. Drops back to a more reasonable category and should make the first five 16. VERMOUTH DES PRES - In the money three from last four. Encouraged in better company two weeks ago at Vincennes and should not be far off the mark

17. VEGAS D'AMOS - Has made very little impact on the track for the last three months and can expect to find this a stiff test 18. BOTI D'OLIVERIE - Useful enough sort under these conditions but the extra 25m will do nothing to help his cause (13) AUTRE NUAGE looks a different horse at the moment and going barefoot again has every chance of returning to winning ways. (8) ANAIS however is 25m better off and if applied can give him a run for his money. (4) AS DODIENVILLE is currently enjoying a fruitful run and from the front line should improve on his latest result but will still have to contend with the tough (16) VERMOUTH DES PRES who takes a big dip in class, and (15) VIVALDI who has already made his mark at this level. (13) AUTRE NUAGE - (8) ANAIS - (4) AS DODIENVILLE - (16) VERMOUTH DES PRES - (15) VIVALDI

Race 6 1. ECLIPSE D'ORIENT - Showed considerable early promise and was impressive on comeback last month when pipping Emara Du Goutier for second. Top-tier chance 2. EBENE DU LOGIS - Often the object of the stewards' attention but reassured last time when a solid third ahead of Energy Du Bouffey. Place prospect 3. ELISA D'OCCAGNES - Has demonstrated decent aptitude for the game and although not the most consistent is still good enough to make the frame 4. ELEMINE DE VALFORG - Respectable filly that is not without merit. Disqualified last time but worth a second look all the same 5. EMARA DU GOUTIER - Still a maiden but has made made good progress of late. Close third to Eclipse D'Orient and looks a serious challenger again this time 6. EMIE - Has begun to show more of late but must raise her game substantially in order to prove any form of threat 7. ESTOLA - Gave a fine account of herself at Vincennes late January after having been forced wide and although stepping up in class can get a look in 8. ERIN BROCKOVICH - Moderate sort that made no impression on either start in Paris and will have too much to find 9. ENERGY DU BOUFFEY - Beginning to make headway and should not be hastily judged for recent sanction. If applied she could well make the first five 10. EVORA - Opened her account at Rouen last time out but at this level she will have to show marked improvement 11. ECUYERE D'OR - Disqualified on her only harness start. Has done nothing noteworthy under the saddle either and looks to have her work cut out 12. ELSA DE BELFONDS - First time out for this one. She hails from a respectable yard but is nonetheless up against some stiff competition (1) ECLIPSE D'ORIENT has hardly set a foot wrong since her debut and the way she comported herself ahead of (5) EMARA DU GOUTIER on her return to the track last month should just give her the edge once again. (3) ELISA D'OCCAGNES is still somewhat green but she has considerable ability and if applied should play an important role. (2) EBENE DU LOGIS encouraged connections with a fine run last time at Vincennes and the less undulating Enghien track should work to her advantage.

(1) ECLIPSE D'ORIENT - (5) EMARA DU GOUTIER - (3) ELISA D'OCCAGNES - (2) EBENE DU LOGIS

Race 7 1. DARLING DU LYS - Went into her break on a double and was eased back into the game a fortnight back. Unshod behind this time and a place in the frame looks well within her reach 2. DASKA DE L'OCEAN - Showed a lot of promise before being sent for a spell. Encouraged on comeback at Chateaubriant last month and should figure prominently 3. DIVINE DE NAVARY - Capable individual but prone to breaking stride. Disqualified when going strongly last time but races fully shod on this occasion and not an obvious choice 4. DIVINE DU PONT - Moderate sort but her form has regressed since racing unshod behind and chances limited 5. DIVA MESLINOISE - Complicated filly but boasts considerable talent. Gave a good account three weeks ago at Vincennes and with Nivard at the helm this time she can be assured a confident drive. Claim 6. DIVINE HONEY - Demonstrated a lot of potential last summer but has proved less effective this winter. Goes barefoot for the first time which could prove just the ticket 7. DAISY MAISY - Good sort in ridden competition but has shown no aptitude under harness and can be ruled out 8. DAYANNA MASAMYNO - Has done nothing wrong since taking her first competitive steps. Pleased on her Paris debut last month and should finish in the mix 9. DREAM STORY - Did not enjoy the best of winters and is unlikely to shake things up on her first start for over two months 10. DORNATIS DU RIB - Disqualified almost as often as not but otherwise seldom fails to make her presence felt. Failed to fire here last week but still not to be underestimated (5) DIVA MESLINOISE may be a delicate sort but when applied she has the measure of most here and with a top driver in the sulky this time she should attract the lion's share of support. That said, she will have to contend with the consistent (2) DASKA DE L'OCEAN whose recent comeback did not go without note. The talented (6) DIVINE HONEY has struggled with form lately but going barefoot could end that streak. (1) DARLING DU LYS showed encouraging signs first time back and is capable of trotting in for a minor money spot.

(5) DIVA MESLINOISE - (2) DASKA DE L'OCEAN - (6) DIVINE HONEY - (1) DARLING DU LYS

Race 8 1. DALABAMA - Has undeniable ability but still prone to stride problems. Finished runner-up to Daljemosa on penultimate start but cannot expect to influence the outcome this time 2. DOLLY BIRD - Useful type but has done nothing of note this winter and others preferred on this occasion 3. DOTKA DE LOIRON - Well-regarded filly that finished a place behind Dona Nina early last month and once again looks competitively well-in 4. DAYTONA JET - Has found this level of competition substantially tougher and latest results do little to inspire confidence 5. DIVA BEAUREGARD - Regular for the most part. Was not disgraced behind Doyale For D'Am last time but will still need to find more 6. DOBRA DROGA - Filly with considerable ability but sanctioned as often as not. Returns fully shod and not a priority 7. DELINDA - Got her career off to a good start but has failed to confirm and unlikely to garner much support 8. DELMONICA VET - Showed a lot more promise last year and appears to have lost her way. Goes unshod behind for the first time but still not an obvious choice 9. DIMITRIA GRIFF - Good regular filly that missed out on second in a Class A a fortnight back and if applied can make a big impact 10. DOYALE FOR D'AM - Can prove a tricky type but has ample ability. Finished a courageous third at Vincennes nine days ago and can again figure prominently 11. DONA NINA - Exceptional filly that has won four from six to date. She beat a number of others here early February and should be able to do it again 12. DELICATESSE - Modest sort that remains winless from 25 outings and chances slim at best 13. DRAPANIE - Very consistent sort with three wins from her last five. Scored unshod behind a month back and expected to play a leading role 14. DESIDERIA - Erratic but not without merit. Has found the going tough at this level and unlikely to affect the result 15. DALJEMOSA - Endured a tough autumn and winter until scoring last month at Vincennes when barefoot for the first time ahead of Dalabama. A repeat looks highly unlikely however (11) DONA NINA came close to adding another victory to her tally last time at

Vincennes and she should just have the edge over (13) DRAPANIE who has been going good guns since the turn of the year. (10) DOYALE FOR D'AM gave a fine account of herself recently and a similar effort would see her go close, however it is very hard to knock (9) DIMITRIA GRIFF at present and with shoes off again could well make a big impact. (11) DONA NINA - (13) DRAPANIE - (10) DOYALE FOR D'AM - (9) DIMITRIA GRIFF

DEAUVILLE - 1st March Trainer of the day : Jean-Claude Rouget (304, 401, 508) Jockey of the day : Pierre-Charles Boudot (201, 305, 407, 506, 614, 704, 806) Horse of the day : Partner In Crime (508) Dark Horse : Godric (606) Race 1 1. MISTY LOVE - Six time winner from twenty seven now including two of last three so must be involved 2. ENFIN SEULS - Dual winner from forty seven but way out of form and no hope 3. ACCENT FRANCAIS - Six time winner from forty two but recent wellbeing a worry 4. ABAYO - Has won six of sixty eight and in blinding form at Pau of late 5. LATERAN ACCORD - Very good win rate in Spain with five from thirteen so could be interesting 6. BARONNE ZILLIONE - Two poor attempts last year and cannot be fancied at all 7. BELLE DU JOUR - Triple winner from twenty seven but has pulled up on all last three hurdle runs (1) MISTY LOVE can get backers offf the the right foot for today's card. The Duke Of Marmalade gelding has won two out of three already this season so current wellbeing is exceptional. He has a pretty high rating as well so all things considered looks a rattling good bet. (4) ABAYO can take the silver medal with (5) LATERAN ACCORD and (2) ENFIN SEULS after those. (1) MISTY LOVE - (4) ABAYO - (5) LATERAN ACCORD - (2) ENFIN SEULS

Race 2 1. BONNET BRETON - He is one from thirteen but sure to have chance in this grade 2. HONORIUS QUERCUS - Placed twice from six runs and runner up at Pornichet last time out 3. RING MY BELL - Off the mark on her seventh and last start at Pornichet so confidence high 4. ONE OF ONE - Still to place in four runs and looks out pf depth now to be fair 5. JIM DANDY - Dual winner from five in this country including at Cagnes last time. Had previously raced in UK 6. PLENARY - Placed six times in Britain and once in this country but still considered 7. ALMOST ARCHIE - Just the two poor runs and hard to fancy on that basis in truth 8. ADIABATE - One win from eleven and will enjoy this company. Big chance 9. TITFORTAT SUCCES - Placed three times from ten but going the wrong way quickly now 10. ANSE MARCEL - Won here in January and runner up at Chantilly latest so can be placed perhaps 11. MISS TOOTSY - Placed four times from twelve and that is best hope once more The vote here is accorded to (8) ADIABATE. The supplemented daughter of Pour Moi is generally trustworthy and her level of form seems the strongest overall in any case to the others. She should be a reasonable price as well. (1) BONNET BRETON probably poses the chief threat with chances of sorts for (6) PLENARY and (10) ANSE MARCEL also. (8) ADIABATE - (1) BONNET BRETON - (6) PLENARY - (10) ANSE MARCEL

Race 3 1. ROC ANGEL - Off the mark at Chantilly on fourth and last start in January but still some more to find 2. JOYCETICK - Won debut at Chantilly in November but poor when going back there in January 3. BIRMANO - Won on debut last September and then two fourth place finishes after that but a huge chance here 4. ELVIS - Won a conditions at Clairefontaine last August and sound return at Cagnes 5. INCAMPO - One win from six and excellent runner up on last start here in December 6. UPENDI - Being kept pretty busy with one win from thirteen and others less exposed 7. FILANTE - One win from four but was soundly beaten at Cagnes last time out 8. JEANNAJONH - Won at Pau in December and then went on to be a good third at Chantilly 9. LIVRABLE - Did it nicely if closely on debut at La Teste Buch last June but absence since a worry 10. CLEAR FOR TAKE OFF - Battled to win on third and final start last September with promise of more to come There are a few fascinating contenders here and it should be a hell of a race. (3) BIRMANO represents powerful connections here and the colt who was successful on debut at Fontainebleau last September before running creditably in two subsequent efforts should be ideally suited to the step up in trip today. (4) ELVIS is alive and kicking here with (10) CLEAR FOR TAKE OFF and (5) INCAMPO next best. (3) BIRMANO - (4) ELVIS - (10) CLEAR FOR TAKE OFF - (5) INCAMPO

Race 4 1. YAABALADY - Really nice effort on debut behind a good sort at Cagnes in late January and a surefire improver 2. GODERVILLE - Promise on debut here last December and will hope to put that experience to good use 3. BOGGY ONE - Two poor efforts last year and that will not be good enough now 4. Dam was a triple winner and this is her first foal to race 10. SILVER EXPRESS - Newcomer. Dam won three times and her first foal has delivered twice 11. DIABLESSE - Newcomer. Dam scored once but has yet to have a winner from two foals There was a lot of promise on debut from (1) YAABALADY at Cagnes in late January where the daughter of Smart Strike was green early and then very tenderly handled by Journiac. That kindness should be repaid today in spades. (8) INDIAN SKIES is a full sister by Dubawi to a smart Listed winner and should be useful. (2) GODERVILLE and (7) DALAKANIA look winners of the future.
