PHOTOGRAPHY DAY Pictures will be held on Wednesday, April 3 rd. These pictures will be taken at the dance studio. You can wear your hair and make-up however you would like it. If you have a hairpiece for the recital please wear it to pictures. You need separate envelopes for each class but can combine the check and put it into one envelope, please write what envelope it is in. If you pay with a credit card you need to put the number on each order form. If you are not there we will take the class picture without you. Everyone must have their tights and whatever shoes you will wear for the class. You should wear your hair piece if it is listed under what you need tab but can wear your hair however you want. Tights and footundeez are available for purchase at the studio. RECITAL RUN THROUGH & FINALE PRACTICE Our recital run-through will take place on Sunday, April 28 th at the dance studio. You need to be here on time because we move very quickly. DO NOT WEAR YOUR COSTUMES, please wear dance clothes. FINALE REHEARSAL: This practice takes place on the same day as the recital run through. This is an optional dance for our dancers to participate in the finale. This is for all the Level I-IV dancers. We have to teach formations as well as the routine so we need anyone who plans to dance in this routine there. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS, you will not be in the dance if you are not at rehearsal. Please let us know if you are unable to be in the dance. DRESS REHEARSAL Dress rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, May 8 th starting at 4:30. THIS IS MANDATORY. It will be held at the Detroit Lakes Holmes Theatre. This helps the dancers get used to the large stage, lights and the backstage areas. You need to have your hair and make-up done as though it is the night of the show. There is no food allowed in the auditorium. Please plan accordingly. We only have the little backstage area for dress rehearsal costume changes. Please sit in the auditorium until we announce your classes to be able to move their stuff into the back room. Once your groups are done you need to collect all of your stuff and move it out of the backstage area. You are welcome to watch the dress rehearsal but need to keep your stuff in the auditorium when you are not dancing. Boys: You will have to use the bathroom to change during dress rehearsal. During the recital you will have your own changing room. If you want to take pictures this is the only opportunity you have as there is no flash photography allowed the night of the show. BE ON TIME, WE GO VERY QUICKLY AND HAVE LIMITED TIME! *Finale Dancers: You should wear the last costume you are in. If you have time and want to wear a different costume you are welcome to do so. Tights & Footundeez It is important to have the same tights and footundeez as all other dancers. These should be purchased from us. I will have tights and footundeez available for purchase. Please make sure you have these early. Tights are $8.50 and footundeez are $18. If I run out it takes a week for me to get more. Recital DVD The recital DVD s will be available for purchase at the studio. This year Bruce Moe will be filming the show. Recital DVD s come in August. I will contact you when they are in. I usually have them by open house for fall classes. They are $20 and include both shows. They will also be available at the show. Any orders taken after the recital will be $30/disc. Recital Photography Stacy Moe takes pictures of all the dancers at both the dress rehearsal and the recital. She will post pictures on Facebook. You can contact her directly to order photos. Star Program Our star program is a gift for dancers. You can purchase a star for $1 for your dancers. These will be available at the studio the week before the recital as well as at both recitals. You can write a message to your dancer. Dancers will get stars right before the finale. Dancers in the first show will wear their stars for the finale. It is a great memory they can keep forever. Yearbook At the recital I will not sell any yearbooks, there will be printed programs for all. The yearbook will have all class photos in it. There are no additional photos added this year. These are available for order at the studio and are due by April 18 th! There will not be extras printed. They are $10/book and can be ordered with your DVD. Recital Merchandise All dancers names are on the back of the t-shirts with the logo on the front. They will have additional items online as well. They will be available online only starting March 18 th -March 29 th. I do not have control over these, so you need to make sure to get your order in on time. All ordering is online. No orders will be taken after this date. The website will be e-mailed out and put on Facebook.
Recital Tickets All tickets will be available online or ordered by phone. They will go on sale April 13 th at 10:00 am. Ticket prices are as followed: Before Show Prices: 3:00 pm Show Adult Ticket: $8.00 Student Ticket: $6.00 7:00 pm Show Adult Ticket: $10.00 Student Ticket: $8.00 You can order one of two ways: Go online to www.tututix.com/nldadance Call 435-222-2849 Purchase through our Facebook page- on the side it says buy tickets. The remaining tickets will be sold at the door 30 minutes before show time the day of the show. Day of Show Price: 3:00 pm Show Adult Ticket: $10.00 Student Ticket: $7.00 7:00 pm Show Adult Ticket: $12.00 Student Ticket: $9.00 All seats will need to be paid for, so the only way a child is free is if they sit on your lap. Dads dancing in the show still need to buy a ticket to the show. Free Tickets: Final tuition payments are due May 4 th. At that time I will draw a name of a dancer who has all tuition paid and they will receive 4 free tickets to the show in the middle front of the auditorium. I will draw for both the 3:00 and 7:00 shows. If you have already purchased your tickets I will give you a refund on the tickets you have. Senior dancers you can purchase 4 tickets to each show in advance starting on April 8 th at 10:00 am. You will get a code from me that will allow you to order early.
Dad s Dance This year it is the dad s turn to get on the stage and dance. This dance will be performed in the 7:00 pm show only, therefore, dancers should be in the level I and higher classes to participate. This is a great opportunity to learn what your child goes through in order to get ready for the recital. This dance is easy and fun! Your daughter/son(s) are able to dance with you. There are two rehearsals for this dance. Please sign up in advance so I know how many to expect. All practices will be held at the studio. Sunday, April 14 th from 1:00-3:00 Sunday, April 28 th from 12:30-1:30 Wednesday, May 8 th during dress rehearsal 6:30-6:45 at Detroit Lakes Holmes Theatre you don t need to wear costumes for this practice. I can t tell you how many times I have dancers tell me they want to dance with their mom or dad. All dancers who participate in this dance are required to buy a recital t-shirt. Dad s will wear black pants with white t-shirts (optional: can wear a black leather or black jacket). We plan to dance to Queen so that type of look is what we are going for.
