The Eastern Hunter Association welcomes you to the 2016 show season For the second year, the EHA is proud to be working with the NCHJA to offer you a great selection of horse shows. For 2016, EHA is offering 10-12 shows. At the end of the show year, an awards banquet with great ribbons and prizes is offered. The banquet recognizes horses and riders for their accomplishments. Both riders and horses must be members of EHA for points to count toward year end awards, and members must compete in 50% of the EHA shows offered. Eastern Hunter Association originated in 1978, and in the early years, with folks like Evelyn & Thomas Faulkner (Cabin Branch Farm), Nina & Robbie Hill (Heartland Farm); and later with (our greatly missed) Annie & Sam Moore (Moore Stables), and Bill Creighton & Don Jackson (Idle Fox Farm) we have jointly hosted 37 wonderful years of shows. This is our 38 th year and we are excited that NCEHA joined with NCHJA last year so we can now offer C sanctioned classes with our regular scheduled program. Rider must be a paid member before entering those three classes. Rider & horse membership numbers will be required on entry form. If you join at the show, please complete forms, attach a separate check and leave in the office by noon on Sunday before check out. Minor Exhibitors must have Letter of Release signed by parent or legal guardian. This form is located on reverse side of Entry Form and should be in the show office BEFORE youth rides their horse/pony (schooling or showing). Extra forms will be available in the show office. Pre-Entries are welcomed. They help get the horse show started on time and saves exhibitors & parents from long lines in the show office. They make the show secretary so HAPPY that she has a Free Stall drawing on Saturday for all completed entries, emailed or snail mailed by March 11, 2016. Negative Coggins is required for all equine that are brought on the ground and must be displayed on stall or at trailer for non-stalled horses. Must have been taken within one year of last day of horse show (bleed on or after 3/20/15). Please bring copy to the show office on check-in if not sent in with entry. Check-In office is located inside the Indoor Arena near the ring entrance. Show office open after 3 pm, Friday. Please have coggins, measurement cards for ponies, membership numbers and entry forms completed to pick up Exhibitor numbers. For mailed-in entries with check & coggins enclosed & without changes, you may proceed to the fast lane to pick up your exhibitor numbers Pony Measurement will be necessary if showing in Pony Hunter classes. See show steward if in question or to reserve measuring time prior to showing. USEF cards are accepted and should be presented to the show secretary prior to picking up exhibitor number. Scratch/Adds should be completed in the show office and not at the gate to keep show moving, avoid delays in check out or being billed at a later date. Schooling will be available Friday noon until 9:00 pm. Arenas will open at 6:00 am Sat & Sun - close 30 minutes prior to start time. Arenas will be open for additional schooling after Saturday s last class until 9:00 pm (courses may be in process of being reset). Helmets are required for all riders while mounted. Stalls are available Noon Friday Sunday for $90. Stall & bedding orders should be made in advance. All non-stalled horses will be charged a grounds fee of $20 & schooling fee of $20 per day. (Ag Center requires that all bedding be purchased through them with minimum of 2 bags per stall (or more) for safety & health protection of stalled horses.) Dogs must be leashed & attached to responsible handlers, crated or contained in camper area. Ag staff may request proof of rabies vaccination. Camper Hook-ups are available with water & electricity at each site. Dump station located behind Barns D. Please back into selected site & notify office with site# for power. Concessions will be available on the show ground. Hospitality goodies will be available for early morning schoolers in the show office. The Management reserves the right to reschedule, combine, close, add or delete any classes or change the announced officials as may be necessary and in the best interest of the show.
