Each competitor may compete in only one karate style The Kumite competition will be divided into: Shobu Nihon (for Children and Juveniles), Shobu Sanbon Shobu Ippon. From the age of 14 a competitor may only compete in one competition type either Sanbon or Ippon. In the Kumite competition the competitors will be divided into two groups, excepted in Shobu Ippon as specified below.
