Roger & Joyce present Skirting Reigate s Outskirts Sunday 6th May 2018 Assemble 2.00pm for a 2.15pm Start The Black Horse, 93 West Street, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 9JZ The Walk: Just 2.8 miles (4.5km) long, mostly on footpaths and quiet backstreets, this walk takes in a pleasant area in the lee of the North Downs we haven t explored in quite a while. No stiles. Some gradients in the first half but not steep. Not ideal for buggies in a couple of places but passable. The Venue: Pub was taken over by the White Brasserie Company last summer and judging by our personal experience the food is now very good. Sunday roast costs around 15/ 16. BOOK EARLY for a restaurant meal. Wide-ranging bar menu also available. Real ale includes Sharps Doombar. Child friendly and dog friendly. If car park full, park in nearby Flanchford Road. Tel 01737 230010 or visit their website at http://theblackhorsereigate.com/ OS Grid Reference: TQ 242505 Directions: (From Reigate town centre) Head west on A25 towards Dorking. After about 0.7 miles pub is on the left just before turning into Flanchford Road. (From intersection of A24 and A25 at Dorking) Head east on A25 towards Reigate. After about 4.7 miles pub is on the right at junction of West Street and Flanchford Road.. Public Transport: No buses stop close to the pub on Sunday. Nearest station is Reigate, just under a mile away. For an inexpensive cab service ring Roadrunners on 01737 760076 or Belfry cars on 01737 766111.
