Registration Registration forms may be completed in person at the Sports Center. Skaters must register for their current skating level at the time of registration. All costumes are ordered specifically for the skater registered. No refunds or exchanges will be made once the costumes have been ordered. Need help measuring your skater? Visit our Northbrook-On-Ice table during select class/event times or ask for verbal assistance from our professionals at the Sports Center front desk. We are happy to help! The final deadline for Tot-Freestyle 4 registration is Friday, January 11. Costume orders will be placed that day and no orders will be taken after the registration deadline unless additional costumes are available. All upper level groupings (FS 5 & Up skaters) will need to register by Friday, December 21. Upper Level Group Registration Information Skaters in levels Freestyle 5 and above are able to participate in an upper level group number. In order to remain eligible for an upper level group number, skaters must participate in either a skating school class during the winter session or participate in an average of four hours of freestyle ice per week of the winter skating school session. Following the upper level registration deadline on Friday, December 21, specific groups will be established based on age and skating level. Results of these groupings will be announced, at which point skaters will select their costume size based on the specified costume. All skaters in an upper level are required to attend both dress rehearsals, tech night and all four performances. Skaters participating in an upper level group number are required to have a parent or guardian fulfill two volunteer shifts of roughly four hours each during production week. Shifts will be offered during dress rehearsals, tech night and during performances. Additional volunteer information will be sent out in early spring. Measuring Your Skater Office staff is available for advice, however, parents are responsible for the final measurements. There are no refunds and/or exchanges on any costumes. Using the chart below, please measure your skater accurately and allow room for growth. During registration, Freestyle 5 & above skaters (upper levels) will only record their measurements. Parents will choose costume sizes at a later date once the upper level divisions have been made. A. Chest B. Waist C. Hips D. Girth (right shoulder through the crotch & back up to the right shoulder)* E. Inseam (Boys only) *Girth is the most important measurement Registration Costume Codes & Fees

Each group listed below has a different costume that has been chosen based on the music and choreography for this year s production and theme. Costume details (style, color, accessories) will be posted at the Sports Center. Included in the fee is the costume as well as the cost of a choreographer(s) and rehearsal ice times including regular rehearsals, dress rehearsals and tech nights. In addition to the registration fee, all skaters will be responsible for purchasing new tights and/or fishnets (upper levels/specialty parts), as well as any other miscellaneous items like hair ties, v-clips and tailoring if their costume does not fit properly. These times are in addition to their normal skating classes. Regular skating apparel is recommended during their rehearsals. The amount of rehearsals for each level have been adjusted to provide the most positive show experience possible. To ensure a great routine for all participants in your group, please attend all scheduled rehearsals. Finale Rehearsals (Freestyle 1 & Up Only) Skaters in Freestyle 1 & up are invited to skate in the finale, a choreographed routine that concludes each show. Skaters will wear their group number costume for this number. The finale rehearsal times for all Freestyle 1 & up groups are listed on their individual rehearsal schedules. Attendance at all finale rehearsals are mandatory in order to participate in the number. Registration can be completed at the front desk and is free of charge. Dress Rehearsals

Dress rehearsals are scheduled on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5. Dress rehearsals are final practices held in the production rink. All skaters are required to be in full costume with hair and make-up that is show ready. Please refer to the instructions located inside of the costume bag for specific details about hair and costume wear. The dress rehearsals are used to create lighting cues, finalize set design, introduce props for the first time and finalize transitions. These rehearsals are designed to help the director of the show finish the full production. Group pictures in the skater s costumes will be taken during the dress rehearsal days and will be made available for purchase. A detailed dress rehearsal/picture schedule will be distributed in April. Saturday, May 4: Dress Rehearsals (All Day Skaters Beta & Up Only) Sunday, May 5: Dress Rehearsals (All Day All Skaters in the Show) Tech Night Tech night is scheduled on Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30pm. During tech night, full run-throughs of each half of the show will be performed. Final details with lighting, sounds, props, set and choreography will be made. The entire show will be run in one rehearsal with a short ice resurface break during intermission. Tech night is for production purposes only and will be closed to the public. *All FS 1 & Up skaters participating in finale will need to stay until the end! Production Effects Each aspect of the show is taken very seriously and upholds the high standards and traditions of being an exceptional amateur production. Special effects such as smoke and intense lighting may be used during each show. If you would like to exit the production during a specific number to avoid these effects, please visit your usher upon arrival at the facility. Picture Day Picture day is Saturday, April 13. All skaters participating in Northbrook-On-Ice are encouraged to attend! This picture will be included in the Northbrook-On-Ice program which is sold during each performance. All skaters should wear blue jeans, a plain white short- or long-sleeved shirt and skates for the picture. Please review your skater s individual rehearsal schedule to verify the time of their group picture. Skaters should plan to arrive early to check in for their picture and pick up their costume. Group pictures in the skater s costume will be taken during dress rehearsal. Volunteering We need your help! Northbrook-On-Ice relies on the parents of the skaters and members of the community to assist with the production. Volunteer registration will take place online in the early spring. Positions for parents may include locker and holding room attendants, Community Room & Multi-Purpose Room check-in, program sales, etc. For questions regarding volunteering please email Meredith Eisen at meisen@nbparks.org. Ticket Lottery Each skater participating in Northbrook-On-Ice is eligible to participate in the ticket lottery, a system used to ensure that skaters families have an equal chance to select premium seats. Ticket request forms can be found on the last page. Names will be randomly selected and assigned a number within each group level (Icette Program/Freestyle 5+/Specialty Roles, Freestyle 1-4, Tot-Delta & SPICE). Ticket forms are due to the front office of the Sports Center by 5pm on Sunday, February 10. Tickets will then be sold based on the information provided on the form. All ticket orders will be invoiced through Vendini Ticketing. Payments must be made by Monday, February 25. Tickets will be released to the general public if payment is not made by Monday, February 25. Each individual skater is entitled to a maximum of 12 tickets during the initial ticket lottery including skaters ticket. Additional tickets may be purchased beginning on Monday, March 4 when

ticket sales open to the public. Contact the Northbrook Sports Center Office at 847 291 2993 if you have any further questions. 2019 Northbrook-On-Ice Ticket Information

The excitement continues! Ticket sales are about to begin for the 2019 production of Northbrook-On-Ice, with performances on May 10-12. The Northbrook Park District uses a lottery system to ensure that skaters families have an equal chance to select premium seats. Ticket request forms and names will be randomly selected and assigned a number within each group level (Icette Program/Freestyle 5+/Specialty Roles, Freestyle 1-4, Tot-Delta & SPICE). Tickets will then be sold based on the information provided on the form and will be available for pick up the following week at the Sports Center office. Lottery Information On Sunday, February 10 at 5:00pm, Ticket Request Forms will be due. Names are grouped by level (FS 5 and Up, FS 1-4, Delta and below) and randomly assigned a lottery number. Ticket lottery purchases are limited to 12 tickets per skater. For families with multiple participants, tickets will be pulled during each child s ticket time, not all at once. Only one skater ticket is allowed on the Ticket Request Form. Skater-priced tickets ($7) will be available to skaters in Alpha & below (for the participant s use) so the skater may watch half of the show since they will be performing in the other half. Only one skater-price ticket can be purchased. Skater-priced tickets are only available during the ticket lottery. Fill out the form on the reverse side of this page and staff will choose the best available seats, based on your specifications. There are no refunds or exchanges after tickets have been purchased. Skaters in Beta & above may sit and watch the production in the skater s stands free of charge (no supervision will be provided). All ticket sales will be invoiced through Vendini Ticketing. Invoice must be paid in full by Monday, February 25. Once payment is made, tickets can be picked up. Ticket Sales Tickets will be reserved (via lottery) during the week of February 11. Additional tickets can be purchased beginning Monday, March 4, when ticket sales open to the public. General ticket sales will take place at the Sports Center during registration hours M-F 9:00am-8:00pm and Sat/Sun 9:00am-5:00pm. All seats are reserved and priced at $10, $12 or $14 in advance, depending on location. All tickets sold online will be priced at $14 each. Tickets purchased on the day of the performance are $14. Online tickets will be available as of Monday, March 4 at 9:30am. If you have questions about ticket sales, call the Northbrook Sports Center Office at 847 291 2993.
