Fundraising/Event Coordinator Looking into more fundraising events-scratch offs? Yankee Candle is still an option as a fundraiser again Coin Drop scheduled for January 28th 5-8 pm & December 30th Sign up will be needed for the coin drop Looking into other potential Coin Drop locations Lacrosse Coordinator League meeting is looking into tracking of penalties Looking into ways of tracking 7-8 s need to keep a play book that must be signed by the coaches and the referees at the end of the game and book must be present at all games Still deciding on what happens if the penalty book is not available Potential forfeit of game if the team does not have the penalty book Rosters required players name and number by March End of the Year tournament will be June 1st (2nd rain date) at Grange Field All star game they are going to try to make more elaborate League now has its own Arbiter account (how referees are allocated) 3 year contract Referee fees; K-2- $30 3-4 s-$45 (2 Refs) 5-6 s-$65 (2 Refs) January starts the new class for Refs All head coach positions filled Coaches meeting sometime in November
Approval of all coaches by the board in November Equipment/Field Manager Shed was cleaned out Gear is out being washed once it comes back we will take inventory Coaches to decide what they need for coaching aids A few things need to be ordered: Nets- Turf nets much stronger than what we have been ordering wont bend or break as easily Portable Crease Balls for Winter workouts- Water injected tennis balls are one option Job box to leave on the field Old Business By-Laws (2nd reading) Suggested Change in Article V -Standard Operating Procedures- Section 1. Rosters Sponsors- 2019 Sponsorship program Fangear Christmas Order (2 weeks to order middle to end of November) New Business Winter Workouts Scheduled for January 6th, 2019 - February 24th (six sessions) Sundays and 1 snow day built in $45 to sign up, $10 discount for new athletes, free t-shirt for those registered by 12/1/2018 Fliers ready to be distributed to the schools 2019 Budget Review
Addition to Equipment budget 2 new nets + $1,200.00 Referree Fees- change to $3,500.00 * Box League Fee Box League (Winter Box Lacrosse) 7-8 s Minimum of 11 players fee is $1200.00 to send the kids so that is over $100/player We were offsetting the cost by charging $65/player by adding in $400.00 to the budget Concerns raised regarding funding one age level when the budget should be for all ages At this time only 2 players are signed up, 12 have shown interest but are not signed up Idea that specific fundraisers can be held for each team if additional activities/teams/activities want to be funded by the team attending Chris Motion to end funding of Box League -seconded by John Box league taken off budget * Motion to approve the 2019 Budget with the changes (equipment/referee fees/box league)- Motion by Chris- seconded by John * Budget Amendments 2019 proposed budget of $2,400 is sufficient to cover increased referee costs -October 22, 2018 Board vote to change the Referee fees to $2,400.00 - approved by board and motion carries October 22, 2018 Motion to reopen box lacrosse by John October 23, 2018- Seconded by Jenn Approved by board and motion carries October 22, 2018
