We made many attempts to call and visit with anybody we thought might be showing, but I wouldn t be surprised if we missed some, especially if you haven t made it to your club meetings. 4-H Concession Stand The 4-H Concession Stand at the Texoma Exposition and Livestock Show is our major 4-H Fundraiser for our county program. There are many who believe that we are given money from the county or other programs to operate the 4-H program and that isn t true. The county commissioners do provide part of the salary of the county extension agents and they provide us office space, but there are no funds provided for the 4-H program. Therefore, it is important that we do the best we can to raise money at this concession. We know everyone has school and other programs they have to sell stuff for, so this is why we limit our major county fundraising to the concession stands at the Expo and the County Fair. To make this work, all clubs, members and parents need to take a shift. We really need help during the day so if you are homeschooled or parents if you have any free time during the daylight hours, we could use your help, especially from 10:00 am 4:00 pm. Club shifts currently scheduled, some have not scheduled yet: Monday, Apr 2 from 3:30 til 9:00 - Collinsville Tuesday, Apr 3 from 3:30 til 9:00 - Animal Science Wednesday, Apr 4 from 3:30 til 9:00 - Hoppers & Friends Thursday, Apr 5 from 3:30 til 9:00 - Friday, Apr 6 (Good Friday) from 10:00 am - 5 pm County Council will be working on Friday but more help is needed.
