Tournament Site: United States Naval Academy Judo Team Senior Invitational USA Judo Sanction # Saturday, March 2, 2019 Note: This tournament will be 3 Man Teams and Individual Women Dahlgren Hall United States Naval Academy Annapolis, Maryland 21402 Pre-registration is highly recommended! Our campus is a military base and is closed to cars and trucks that do not have prior authorization to be on-site. Everyone must show a government issued picture ID that conforms to the REAL ID ACT to enter the campus. Parking is also available on King George Street just before arriving at Gate 1 and you can walk on. Eligibility: You must be a member of USA Judo, USJF, USJA, ATJA, or AJJF to participate. Senior Competition only! Competitors must present a current, valid membership card at registration. Entry Fee: $120 per 3 Person Team $40 Entry Fee for Women Shiai Individuals Only Late Fee (after February 22): $160 per Team and $60 for Women Shiai Schedule: 8:30-9:30 am Registration and Weigh-in 9:45 am Opening Ceremonies 10:00 am Team Competition Begins Individuals Competition to begin when Teams are done Contest Rules: IJF current contest rules will apply with the following exceptions: competition areas will be reduced and safety zones will be 3 meters around the edges and 4 meters between areas. Competition will be Modified Double Elimination or Round Robin, depending on the numbers in the division. The tournament director reserves the right to add, delete and/or modify any division.. The Novice Divisions will be Yonkyu and below, the Advanced Divisions will be Sankyu and above. No Chokes or Arm Bars Allowed In Any Novice Division! Team Awards: Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third places in each division with each member of a winning team receiving an appropriate medal. Team Competition Rules: 1. Teams may be made up of representatives from any community club or school. Team members are encouraged to be from the same school or club, but do not have to be. 2. Clubs or schools may sponsor no more than 4 teams (2 Novice and 2 Advanced) per weight category. 3. Light Weight Teams will have one player from 116lbs to 145lbs, one from 130lbs to 159lbs, and one from 145lbs to 174lbs and with a total weight of no more than 435 (3 X 145) lbs. 4. Medium Weight Teams will have one player from 142lbs to 178lbs, one from 160lbs to 196lbs, and one from 178lbs to 214lbs and with a total weight of no more than 534 (3 X 178) lbs. 5. Heavy Weight Teams will have one player from 176lbs to 220lbs, one from 198lbs to 242lbs, and one from 220lbs to 264lbs and with a total weight of no more than 660 (3 X 220) lbs. There will be no Open Weight Class for Teams. 6. All weights determined by official scale on day of Tournament. 7. Incomplete teams may compete with a minimum of 2 players at Registration. However, the team will forfeit the match corresponding to heaviest team member. Missing player will be accorded 145lbs in the Light category, 178lbs in the Middle category, and 220lbs in the Heavy category for total weight calculations. 8. Pick-up teams may be formed on site. 9. Line up for competition will be lightest to heaviest weight. 10. Once a team line-up is set, only one substitution will be allowed for injury and placed in appropriate spot by weight. 11. Injured players who do not finish a match or are withdrawn may not return to compete in any capacity. 12. Individual matches that end tied will be declared Hiki Waki. No Golden Score or Flags. Note: Each team member will compete with the corresponding member from the opposing team. The team that obtains the most wins will advance. In the event of an equal number of wins a tie breaker match will occur with Team selecting a member to represent Team for final match. Alternates cannot be used for tie breaker matches unless they had been previously substituted in. Individual Competition Rules: 1. Brackets will be Light, Medium, and Heavy with Novice, for Yonkyu and below, and Advanced, for Sankyu and above. 2. Brackets may be modified for safety and for greater playability. Individuals who cannot be fit into a bracket safely will be given the choice of a medal for an uncontested bracket or return of entry fee.

Enter the U.S. Naval Academy at Gate 1 (blue star on map) and follow the blue arrows to Dahlgren Hall for the tournament. Entry onto the grounds requires a valid DoD I.D. to drive a vehicle in or a U.S. Government issued picture I.D. (such as a driver s license) that conforms to the REAL ID ACT to walk in. Visitors may choose to park off-base and walk to Dahlgren Hall. For $20/day, parking is available in the Noah Hillman Parking Garage (accessible from Main Street or Duke of Gloucester St). The entrance on Duke of Gloucester St. is on the left, just past Conduit St. Once parked in the garage, look for the stairs in the northeast corner of the garage. At the bottom of the stairs, walk straight down Gorman St. to Main St. The Annapolis City Dock is just a block down the hill on Main St. Alternatively, parking meters are available around Annapolis downtown and City Dock, but meters have a 2 hour maximum time limit.
