District 3 Notes for York & Adams Counties Week 12 By Bill Engelhardt Class AAAA Playoffs As the 3rd seed the York Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division I Wildcats of Dallastown (10-2 overall, 4-1 league) hosted the 11th seed Panthers of Central Dauphin East (7-5 overall, 4-3 Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division) at 7PM on Friday, November 15 in the quarterfinals and edged out a 21-20 victory with a game-winning touchdown with seconds left in the game. The Wildcats will move on and meet the 2nd seed Eagles of Cumberland Valley (10-2 overall, 6-1 Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division) in the semifinal round at Harry C Chapman III Field at Cumberland Valley High School at 7PM on Friday, November 22. Robert Catchings led the Wildcats rushing attack with 99-yards (giving him 1,312-yards and 13 touchdowns for the season so far), followed by Addison Quinones with 1-yard, Dezmond Jones with no yards, and Andrew Henry with minus 3-yards. Quarterback Henry completed 11 of 14 passes for 122-yards and 3 touchdowns (giving him 107 completions for 1,392-yards and 12 touchdowns for the season so far), 5 for 85-yards to Malik Lewis (including touchdowns of 11 and 6-yards), 1 for 19-yards to Owen Ritter, 2 for 9-yards to Max Naill (including a 6-yard touchdown), 2 for 7-yards to Catchings, and 1 for 2-yards to Drew Romesberg, for the Wildcats. McKinley Curran kicked a 35-yard field goal and Quinones intercepted a pass for the Wildcats. Chase Edmonds led the Panthers rushing attack with 166- yards (including a 57-yard touchdown), followed by Jahad Neibauer with 42 (including a 4-yard touchdown), Joseph Lemelle with 4, Quinton Smith with 4, and Tabius Walker with 3-yards. Class AAA Playoffs As the 5th seed the York Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division II Eagles of Dover (9-3 overall, 5-0 league) visited the 4th seed Scouts of Conrad Weiser (9-3 overall, 4-3 Berks Inter-County I) at 7PM on Friday, November 15 in the quarterfinals and were shut out 23-0. The Scouts will move on and meet the 1st see Crusaders of Bishop McDevitt (11-1 overall,) in the semifinal round at Rocco Ortenzio Field at Bishop McDevitt High School at 7PM on Friday, November 22. Dexter Jordan led the Scouts rushing attack with 73-yards (including a 16-yard touchdown), followed by Alex Guilbe with 55 (giving him 1,057-yards and 8 touchdowns for the season to date), Josh Joseph with 22, Aidan Brosious with 13, and Pierce, Brosious with 8-yards. The Thunderbolts will move on and meet the 2nd seed Saints of Berks Catholic (12-0 overall, 4-3 Berks Inter-County I) at Hershey Park Stadium at 6PM on Saturday, November 23 for the District Championship. Dustin DeGroft led the Thunderbolts rushing attack with 119-yards (including touchdowns of 14, 1 and 3-yards), followed by Trevor Hildebrand with 62 (including a 29-yard touchdown), Lucas Reynolds with 10, and L.J. Miles with 4-yards. Quarterback Hildebrand completed 8 of 17 passes for 89-yards, 5 for 62-yards to Garrett Trout and 3 for 27-yards to Reynolds, for the Thunderbolts. The Saints will move on and meet the 1st seed York Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division III Thunderbolts of Littlestown (11-0 overall, 9-0 league) at 6PM at Hershey Park Stadium on Saturday, November 23 for the District Championship. Chris Warren led the Saints rushing attack with 156-yards (including touchdowns of 67, 2, and 42-yards), followed by Marcus Wilson with 42, Pop Lacey with 19, Patrick Causa with 10-yards, Cooper Kutz with minus 1-yard, Todd Reedy with minus 2-yards, and Matt Kase with minus 8-yards. The Steamrollers will move on and face the Fighting Irish of York Catholic (7-3 overall, 6-3 YAIAA Division III) at 12PM at Hershey Park Stadium on Saturday, November 23 for the District Championship. Shaheim Moody-Williams led the Steamrollers rushing attack with 95-yards (including a 4-yard touchdown), followed by James Warren with 78 (including touchdowns of 79 and 20-yards), Tyquan Walker with 24, Brett Clea with 16, Logan Davis with 11-yards and a touchdown, Zedaah Moffitt with 7, Alex Furlan with 4-yards, and Keegan Shay with minus 11- yards. Quarterback Warren completed 9 of 12 passes for 106-yards and 2 touchdowns and Shay completed 1 of 3 passes for 5-yards for the Steamrollers.
