PWHS CHARACTER COUNTS BOYS SWIMMING & DIVE by Melissa Hoogester ATHLETE OF THE WEEK The boys compete tonight at TJMS against Cedarburg! Swimming starts at 6pm Come out and cheer them on! Megan Wegner PWHS varsity dance team would like to congratulate Megan Wegner on being this week s athlete of the week! Megan is a 3rd year member of the dance team and has been a huge asset to our team. She always comes to practice ready to give it her all and is always up for a challenge. Her dedication and willingness to step up to a challenge makes her a great teammate and dancer! We are so grateful to have Megan on our team and have enjoyed seeing her grow as a dancer over the years! Congratulations! 3 P age

Boys Varsity Basketball by Brian Hebein Girls Varsity Basketball by Jakob Wahl Dec 8, 2017 Score PIRATES: 40 NICOLET: 63 The Pirates were in a battle on the road with a strong North Shore Conference opponent in Nicolet on Friday night. The Pirates were able to battle the Knights to a 29-24 deficit at the half. Nicolet then showed their power in the 2nd half as they were able to open the game up late as the Pirates were not able to make enough shots to stay with Nicolet late in the game as they lost by a final of 63-40. The Pirates were led by Adam Baierl with 14 points and Tamai McKoy-Jackson with 9 points. Dec 8, 2017 Score PIRATES: 52 NICOLET: 5 The Pirates were in a highly contested game on Friday night against Nicolet. After a back and forth 1st half, Nicolet extended the halftime lead to nine. The Pirates game out strong in the second half and raced out to a four point lead. The back and forth trend continued through the second half with the Pirates falling just short. Lizzie Egan led the team with 20 points and Kaytlin Kassens followed with 12 points and 8 rebounds. 4 P age

Girls Varsity Dance by Rebekah Goerl Girls Varsity Gymnastics by Gale Sigler The PWHS varsity dance team kicked off their competition season at the Little Chute Dance Invite on December 9th. As a team they placed 4th in division 3 pom and 5th in division 2 jazz. We had many sophomores compete in the 10th grade solo competition and all of their performances were amazing! Courtney Cowen placed 4th out of 21 10th grade solos! Isabel Reyes and Courtney a Cowen also competed in the high school duet division and placed 10th out of 21 duets! We re very excited to be in our competition season and can t wait to display all of our hard work on the floor at our next competition! The girls are on the road tonight and will be taking on Whitefish Bay! Competition begins at 6pm. 5 P age

The PWHS Varsity Dance Team kicked of f their co mpetition season at The Little Chute Hol iday Invite o n December 10th. They placed 4th place in di vision 3 Pom agai nst some of the best teams in the state of Wisconsin. We also had many dancers compete in the so lo and duet divisions. A big cong rats is in order for the following dancers and their outstanding finishes within thei r divisions. Sam i Willms - 15 th place 12th grade solo, Summer Normi le-6th place 9th g rade solo and Courtney Cowen- 3rd place 9th g rade solo Students donated their time and helped unload Christmas trees!
