Kapunda & Light Five Star Agricultural Show will be operatin under their own rules, which can be downloaded from the Kapunda Show website www.kapundashow.org.au. For any rules not covered by the Kapunda Show - the Show Horse Council of Australasia rules will be referenced. This show is proudly a member of the AGRICULTURAL SOCIETIES COUNCIL OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA. 2. All Exhibitors must be members of the Kapunda and Light Agricultural Society Inc. Membership fee is $15.00. There is no requirement for each rider be a member of Equestrian Australia, Show Horse Council, HIA or any other club to compete at Kapunda & Light Five Star Agricultural Horse Show. 3. Each rider will be issued with a wristband which must be worn during competition. Each wristband will have the competitor's name on it. No wristband no riding. 4. Each horse entry is $25.00 per horse, which entitles that horse to compete in as many classes as they like at Kapunda & Light Five Star Agricultural Horse Show. 5. Entries, accompanied by correct membership and entry fees, must be in the hands of the Secretary, PO Box 85, Kapunda SA 5373 before 5pm, Friday 2 nd August, 2013. Entries received after this date but before Friday 9 th August will incur a $10 late fee. Entries will be accepted on the day of the show at double the entry fee i.e. $50 per horse entry. Membership passes and wristbands will be sent out to competitors and must be produced on show day to compete, WRISTBANDS WILL BE CHECKED by stewards during competition. 6. PLEASE NOTE LATE ENTRIES CANNOT BE RECEIVED FOR THE OFF THE TRACK CLASS. These entries MUST be received by 9 th August at the latest along with a $10 late fee. 7. In the SPIRIT OF FAIR PLAY, once any exhibit has won first prize in two *Royal Show qualifying events* they are not permitted to compete in any further qualifying event. i.e. once you have gained one open qualifying win plus one supporting win in royal show qualifying events you cannot continue to compete in those classes. 8. This ruling does not include Five Star qualifying classes, Junior Development Ring, Senior Development Ring. There is no restriction on the number of wins you can take in the 5* classes. 9. Horses to be shown as either a hack or a hunter - not both 10. Horses and riders who compete in rings 1 to 3 inclusive CANNOT compete in rings 4 or 5 Horses and riders who compete in rings 4 or 5 CANNOT compete in rings 1, 2 or 3. 11. Rings 4 and 5 are designed for newcomer horses and riders and/or horses and riders who are still developing their in a competitive show horse environment. These rings are NON-qualifying rings for the Royal Adelaide Show. 12. Approved Helmets AS/AN 3838 or EN 1384 and boots must be worn when riding horses including in practice areas. 13. All horses must walk in any area that is not a practice or competition arena and must obey directions from show appointed grounds people. All animals must remain within the confines of the designated area. 14. All ages of riders are on the day. 15. The committee reserves the right to alter/combine or delete events on the day. The convenor reserves the right to refuse any entry without notice. No correspondence will be entered into. No refunds on entries to be paid including on the day of competition. 16. Protests to be lodged with the convenor within 1 hour of the completion of the class. $50.00 fee applies. 17. Newcomer classes for horses and ponies that have not competed as a ridden horse in affiliated competitions before 18 th August 2012. 18. In the event of a protest, height certificates must be produced within 14 days of the show. 19. Dogs not allowed. 20. If temperatures exceed 36 degrees on the day, summer dress will apply across the board i.e. no jackets or ties announcements will be made on the day should summer dress be required. 21. All competitors compete absolutely at their own risk waiver form must be completed and returned - No waiver - No competing. 22. Random swabbing may take place at this show. 23. The Secretary will not be held responsible for any errors, alterations or mistakes with entries or classes with this section. 24. This show has a large number of classes to get through. Depending on the number of competitors on the day, some classes may need to be judged on the circle to speed up the flow of the program. We CANNOT hold up rings. Please do not ask! Thank you for your co-operation in not asking to hold rings If judging clashes, events will not be delayed. No refunds. 25. PLEASE NOTE: Off the Track classes will be held at midday and will be judged by all three judges from rings 1,2 and 3. 26. Due to the nature of this show and the number of classes on offer, the committee has made the decision to supply place cards in place of ribbons in all classes up to third place. Champion and Reserve Champion award winners will receive rosettes.

Off the Track. SA Series A 5 Star Show initiative Racehorse Aussie Shout > now Show Horse Vienna Night Divine Photo: Jenny Barnes Photography Photo: Jim: Inmotion Photography The Off the Track class is exclusive to retired racehorses in South Australia and will be introduced at selected South Australian Agricultural Shows for the 2013/1014 show season. This class is open to any height, weight, hunter or hack. Conditions of Entry 1. To be eligible to compete in the Off the Track class, horses must have competed in an official trial or started in a race, locally, nationally or internationally. 2. You must fill out the Off the Track section of the entry form. No entries will be accepted on the day of show. The class will be held at the start of the lunch break and will be judged by more than one judge. Each prize winner will receive an Off the Track prize pack. Once a horse has won an Off the Track class they will gain automatic entry into the Off the Track series final. Class winners will be ineligible to compete in the class for the rest of the season. Five Star Show Horse Series The Five Star Show Horse Series is exclusive to Agricultural Shows in South Australia and was created to reinvigorate show horse competition and enjoyment. The series is made up of two rings, one for Show Horses and one for Show Hunters. Each ring has national Royal Show qualifying classes. In addition to these classes, are classes that come under the five star concept and are clearly marked in the program. There is no restriction on the number of Five Star classes a competitor can go into. To compete at the Series Final, Competitors must win one Five Star class at three different Agricultural show as one horse/rider combination. A series final will be held in conjunction with the Off the Track Series Final scheduled for late 2014 is an additional incentive for competitors.
