ArRahman In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful 1. The Most Merciful. 1. The most Merciful (God). 2. Taught the Quran. 2. Has taught this Quran. 3. Created man. 3. He it is who created man. 4. [And] taught him eloquence. moon [move] by precise calculation. 6. And the stars and trees prostrate. 7. And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance. 4. And taught him speech. moon adhere to a schedule. 6. And the stars and the trees, all bow down in worship. 7. He raised the heaven high and set the balance. 1. (Allah) Most Gracious. 2. It is He who has taught the Quran. 3. He has created man. 4. He has taught him speech. moon follow courses (exactly) computed. 6. And the herbs and the trees -- both (alike) bow in adoration. 7. And the heaven has He raised high, and He has set up the balance (of Justice). 1. The Beneficent. ا لر م ح ن 2. Has made known ع ل م المق م را ن the Quran. 3. He has created man. خ ل ق ا م ل نمس ان 4. He has taught him ع ل م هالمب ي ان utterance. moon are made punctual. م سب ان ا لش م مس و المق م ر ب 6. The stars and the و الن م جم و الش ج ر ي م سجد ن adore. trees 7. And the sky He has uplifted; and He has ر ف ع ه ا و و ض ع و الس م اء measure. set the م ز ان ا م ل ي 8. That you not transgress within the balance. 9. And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 8. Therefore, do not upset the balance. 9. Weigh with equity and do not give short weight. 8. In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 9. So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 8. That you exceed ا ل ت مطغ م وا ف ا م ل ي م ز ان not the measure. 9. But, observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. م سط و ل م موا المو مزن ب المق و ا ق ي م ز ان تمس روا ا م ل ي 10. And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 11. Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]. 10. He set the earth for all creatures. 11. With all kinds of tasty fruits in abundance and palmtrees with sheathed fruit. 10. It is He who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures. 11. Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates). 10. And the earth has He appointed for (His) creatures. 11. Wherein are fruit and sheathed palmtrees. و ا م ل م رض و ض ع ه ال م ل ن ام م ه ا ف اك ه ة و الن مخل ذ ات ا م ل مكم ام

12. And grain having husks and scented plants. 12. And a variety of corn with husk as well as grain. 12. Also corn with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder and sweetsmelling plants. 12. Husked grain and و ا م ل ب ذو المع م صف و الر م ي ان herb. scented 13. So which of the 14. He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 13. So, which of your 14. He created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's. 13. Then which of the will 14. He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery. 13. Which is it, of the 14. He created man of clay like the potter's. ف ب ا ى ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن م ن ص لمص ال م خ ل ق ا م ل نمس ان ك المف خ ار 15. And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15. And He created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15. And He created jinn from fire free of smoke. 15. And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. و خ ل ق ا م ل ان م ن ار م ن م ن م ار ج م 16. So which of the 16. So, which of your 16. Then which of the will 16. Which is it, of the 17. [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17. Both the Easts and both the Wests: He is the Lord and Sustainer of all. 17. (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests. 17. Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests. ر ب ا م ل مشر ق م ي ا م ل غمر ب م ي و ر ب 18. So which of the 19. He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]. 20. Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 21. So which of the 22. From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 18. So, which of your 19. He let loose the two seas that they may meet together. 20. Yet there stands between them a barrier, which they do not transgress. 21. So, which of your 22. From these seas come out pearls and corals. 18. Then which of the will 19. He has let free the two bodies of water, meeting together. 20. Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress. 21. Then which of the will 22. Out of them come pearls and coral. 18. Which is it, of the 19. He has loosened the two seas. They meet. 20. There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 21. Which is it, of the 22. There comes forth from both of them the pearl and coralstone. م ر ج المب م حر يمن ي لمت ق ي ب ي م ن هم اب م رز خ ل ي ب م غ ي ي مرج م نمهم ا الل مؤلؤ و ا م ل م رج ان 23. So which of the 23. So, which of your 23. Then which of the will 23. Which is it, of the ف ب ا ى ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن 24. And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24. And His are the ships raised up high like mountains in the sea. 24. And His are the ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains. 24. His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. و ل ه ا م ل و ار ا م لنمش ئ ت ف المب م حر ك ا م ل ع م ل م

م 25. So which of the 25. So, which of your 25. Then which of the will 25. Which is it, of the 26. Everyone upon the earth will perish. 27. And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. 26. All that exists on the earth shall perish. 27. Only your Lord, possessed of majesty and honor, shall endure forever. 26. All that is on earth will perish. 27. But will abide (forever) the Face of your Lord, -- full of Majesty and Honor. 26. Everyone that is thereon will pass away. 27. There remains but the Countenance of your Lord of Might and Glory. م ه اف ان ك ل م م ن ع ل ي و ي بم ق و م جه ر ب ك ذو ا م ل ل ل و ا م ل مكر ام 28. So which of the 28. So, which of your 28. Then which of the will 28. Which is it, of the ف ب ا ى ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن 29. Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter. 29. Who so ever is there in the earth and the heavens, implores Him for its needs. Every moment He is in a new (state of) glory. 29. Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendor does He (shine)! 29. All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exercises (universal) power. ت و ي م س له م م ن ف الس م و ا م ل م رض ك ل ي م وم و ف ش امن 30. So which of the 31. We will attend to you, O prominent beings. 32. So which of the 30. So, which of your 31. O you burdens of the earth, We shall soon be free to call you to account. 32. So, which of your 30. Then which of the will 31. Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both you worlds! 32. Then which of the will 30. Which is it, of the 31. We shall dispose of you, O you two dependents (man and jinn). 32. Which is it, of the س ن مفرغل ك م ما يه الث ق ل ن ف ب ا ى ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن 33. O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah]. 33. O company of jinn and men! If you have the power to escape across the bounds of the earth and the heavens, then escape! You shall not escape, for it requires great power. 33. O you assembly of jinn and men! If it be you can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass you! Not without authority shall you be able to pass. 33. O company of jinn and men, if you have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! You will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction. ي ع م ش ر ا م ل ن و ا م ل نمس ا ن م ن ا م ست ط ع م ت م م ا م ن ت نمفذ م وا م ت و ا م ل م رض و ا قمط ار الس م ا ل ف انفذ م وا ل ت نمفذ م ون ب سلمط ن 34. So which of the 34. So, which of your 34. Then which of the will 34. Which is it, of the ف ب ا ى ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن 35. There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves. 35. (If you try to escape) a flame of fire and smoke shall be let loose upon you, which you will not be able to withstand. 35. On you will be sent (O you evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defense will you have. 35. There will be sent, against you both, heat of fire and flash of brass, and you will not escape. م كم ا شو اظ م ي م رس ل ع ل ي و ن اس ف ل ت نمت ص رن م ن ن ار

م 36. So which of the 36. So, which of your 36. Then which of the will 36. Which is it, of the 37. And when the heaven is split open and becomes rosecolored like oil. 37. Then (how will it be) when the heaven will burst and redden like red leather? 37. When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment. 37. And when the heaven splits asunder and becomes rosy like red hide. ف ا ذ ا ان ش ق ت الس م اء ف ك ان م ت و م رد ة ك الد ان 38. So which of the 38. So, which of your 38. Then which of the will 38. Which is it, of the 39. Then on that Day, none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn. 39. On that Day no man and no jinn will need be asked concerning his sin. 39. On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin. 39. On that day neither man nor jinn will be questioned of his sin. ف ي م وم ٮ ذ ل ي م س ل ع م ن ذ نم ب ه ا نمس و ل ج ان 40. So which of the 41. The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet. 40. So, which of your 41. The culprits there shall be recognized by their faces and they shall be seized by their forelock and by their feet and dragged. 40. Then which of the will 41. (For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. 40. Which is it, of the 41. The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet. ه م م م م م ون ب س ي ي ع مر ف ا م ل م جر م م و ا م ل قمد ام ف ي مؤخ ذ ب الن و ا ص 42. So which of the 42. So, which of your 42. Then which of the will 42. Which is it, of the 43. This is Hell, which the criminals deny. 43. This is the same Hell which the culprits were wont to deny." 43. This is the Hell which the sinners deny: 43. This is Hell which ي ك ذ ب ب ه ا deny. the guilty ذ ه ج ه ن م ال ت م ون ا م ل م جر م 44. They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree]. 44. They will wander to and fro between the same Hell and the hot boiling water. 44. In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round! 44. They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water. م م م ون ب ي م ن ه ا و ب م ي ح ي م وف ي ط ا ن 45. So which of the 45. So, which of your 45. Then which of the will 45. Which is it, of the 46. But for he who has feared the position of his Lord 46. And for everyone who dreads to stand before his Lord there 46. But for such as fear standing before their Lord, there will be two gardens. 46. But for him who fears the standing before his Lord there م ن خ اف م ق ام ر ب ه ج ن ت و ل 47. So which of the 47. So, which of your 47. Then which of the 47. Which is it, of the ف ب ا ى ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن

Of spreading branches. 49. Which is it, of the ذ و ات ا ا فمن ان ف ب ا ى ا ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن 50. In both of them are two springs, flowing. 51. So which of the 52. In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. 50. In both two springs of running water. 51. So, which of your 52. In both there will be two kinds of every fruit. 50. In them (each) will be two springs flowing (free). 51. Then which of the will 52. In them will be fruits of every kind, two and two. 50. Wherein are two fountains flowing. 51. Which is it, of the 52. Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. م ه م اع ي م ن ن ت مر ي ن م ه م ا م م ن ك ل ف ك ه ة ز م و ج ن 53. So which of the 53. So, which of your 53. Then which of the will 53. Which is it, of the ف ب ا ى ا ل ء ر ب كم ا تك ذ ب ن 54. [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 55. So which of the 54. The dwellers of Paradise shall be reclining on carpets lined with thick silk, and the branches of the gardens will be hanging down (on them) with fruit. 55. So, which of your 54. They will recline on carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the fruit of the gardens will be near (and easy of reach). 55. Then which of the will 54. Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand. 55. Which is it, of the ع ل فرش ب ط ا ٮ ن ه ا مت ك م ي م ست م ب ق و ج ن ا ا م ل ن ت م ي م ن ا م د ان 56. In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinn. 56. Amidst these blessings will be those of bashful looks, whom neither man nor jinn will have touched before them. 56. In them will be (maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or jinn before them has touched. 56. Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinn will have touched before them. م ه ن ق ص رت الط م رف ل م م ي مطم ثمهن ا نمس ق ب م ل ه م م و ل ج ان 57. So which of the 57. So, which of your 57. Then which of the will 57. Which is it, of the 58. As if they were rubies and coral. 58. As beautiful as rubies and pearls. 58. Like unto bubies and coral. 58. (In beauty) like the ruby and the coral-stone. م وت و ا م ل م رج ان ك ا ن ن المي اق 59. So which of the 59. So, which of your 59. Then which of the will 59. Which is it, of the

60. Is the reward for good [anything] but good? 60. Could the reward of goodness be anything but goodness? 60. Is there any reward for good -- other than good? 60. Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness. م حس ان ا ل مل ج ز اء ا ل م حس ان ا م ل 61. So which of the 62. And below them both [in excellence] 63. So which of the 61. So, which of your 62. And besides those two, there will be two other gardens. 63. So, which of your 61. Then which of the will 62. And besides these two, there are two other gardens. 63. Then which of the will 61. Which is it, of the 66. In both of them are two springs, spouting. 67. So which of the 66. In both two gushing springs. 67. So, which of your 66. In them will be two springs pouring water in abundance. 67. Then which of the will 66. Wherein are two abundant springs. م ه م اع ي م ن ن ن ض اخ ت 67. Which is it, of the 68. In both of them are fruit and palm trees and 68. In them plenty of fruit, and dates and 68. In them will be fruits, and dates and 68.
