Step I Upon arrival, please proceed with your bike, bike helmet and Eventbrite Ticket (print out or on phone) to the transition zone. A marshal will check your helmet strap and handlebar end plugs on entry. See Transition for more info on how and where to rack your bike. Step II Once you have racked your bike, please follow the signs to registration (Sports Hall at the Leisure Centre). All participants are required to either produce a valid Home Nations Membership License or purchase a Day Membership on race day. Day Membership fee is 5 for seniors, 1 for juniors (prices set by British Triathlon) STEP III At registration, a marshal will body mark you (left calf, right arm) and hand you your event pack which contains: Two race numbers that are worn during the cycle and run. Please note any medical conditions or allergies on the back. If using a race belt, please display your race numbers back to back to be visible in case the number flips up. A numbered sticker that goes on the front of your head tube. To pick up your bike post event, marshals will check that your sticker matches your race number. No match, no bike. A timing chip and Velcro strap to be worn around your left ankle - this must be worn throughout all 3 disciplines and will need to be handed in at the finish line ( 20 fee for lost chips). Collecting bikes & kit post event: Please note that bike pickup post event is only possible after all competitors have finished the cycling leg or at certain times communicated on event day. Entry and exit of the transition zone will be from the side (marked bike pick up) only. GETTING CHANGED & STORING KIT Participants have access to dedicated changing facilities at the Leisure Centre from 6:30am onwards. Please only take the gear you need for the cycle and run leg into the transition zone as space is limited. Unnecessary kit can be stored at the bag drop at registration (You will need to show your race number to pick up your labeled bags after finishing the event). Please note that any kit is left at your own risk.
EVENT BRIEFING Time: 7:45am A mandatory event briefing for all competitors will take place at 7:45am in the sports hall, adjacent to registration. TRANSITION Time: From 6:30am Always put on and fasten your helmet before taking TIP your bike off the rack Note: No assistance is permitted in the transition area. Please only enter the transition area where instructed to do so when racking your bike before your start as other competitors will already be racing and we do not want any chips being triggered by mistake. Pre Event Upon arrival, head straight to transition with your bike and bike helmet and present your Eventbrite Ticket to the marshals. They will check your helmet strap and handlebar end plugs before you are allowed to rack your bike in the designated area for your wave (wave number sent out by email 3 days prior to the event). Please rack your bike by looping the saddle over the horizontal bar, one bike facing left, next right, etc. and store your kit to the left of your bike (when looking at the rack). Remember, no boxes allowed in transition. A small soft backed backpack is fine but keep your kit to a minimum as space is at a premium. Unnecessary kit can be stored at the bag drop at registration. Once you have picked up your event pack at registration, head back to transition and stick your number label to the front of your head tube. To pick up your bike post event, marshals will check that the sticker on your bike matches your race number. No match, no bike. Handy Tips Organise When setting up transition, only take the essentials in with you. This will help you get in and out of transition quicker with minimal fuss and stress! Visualise Transition can often be a busy and sometimes confusing place on event day. Make sure you know your swim exit, bike out & in and run out to help gain those precious seconds! Familiarise yourself with the one-way system and look out for something visual near your bike slot, making it easy to spot when you are running into transition. Prepare Make sure your bike is set up in the right gear. You don t want to be left struggling in the first few meters of the event.

BIKE Distance: 18.86k Map: Interactive Bike Route Map available in the course maps section on intotri.com/event/liskeard-tri The bike course follows a 18.86k loop on open roads to Pensilva via St.Ive and back on the B3254 to Liskeard. While we have taken every care to mark the non-drafting course with large yellow signs, competitors are responsible for negotiating the route correctly, safely and within the rules of the road. Marshals along the course do not have the authority to stop traffic. Rules Rules of the road apply at all times. Helmets must be worn and fastened at all times when in contact with your bike. It is your responsibility to ensure the road-worthiness of your bike. Drafting is NOT allowed - drop back if caught by a faster rider. Mount and dismount at designated points and push bike out of/into transition to your allocated slot. The Route The following highlights the key hazards along the bike route to be mindful of, it is NOT a full route description. Please check the interactive map on intotri.com/event/liskeard-tri where these hazards are highlighted with a caution sign. Turn left out of transition onto Greenbank Rd. Be aware of other road users on the double roundabout as you carry straight on towards Tavistock on the A390. After 7.6k, turn off the A390 to Pensilva. Beware of missing road markings and the road narrowing in several places on your way into Pensilva. Slow down at the cattle grid at 12km and the left turn onto busy B3254. The surface has recently been re-laid and is still covered in GRAVEL. TAKE CARE on the downhill, especially as you approach the 2 nd CATTLE GRID. Right turn from B3254 onto Culverton Rd. Watch out for other road users Any rule violations and inappropriate competitor conduct may result in disqualification in accordance with British Triathlon rules and the event code of conduct. RUN Distance: 5k Map: Interactive Run Route Map available in the course maps section on intotri.com/event/liskeard-tri After skirting the fields surrounding Liskeard School and Football Club runners embark on an out and back loop to Looe Down Farm before returning to Lux Park Leisure Centre.
RUN (cont.) Rules Rules of the road apply at all times. Instructions received from police/marshals must be followed. Stay on the pavement where possible. No assistance or pacing is allowed. Leave transition and turn left, staying on the pavement along Greenbank Rd/B3254 to Culverwood Rd. Cross Culverwood Rd before the Coldstyle Rd junction. Beware of cyclists coming up the hill and turning left. Stay left at all times on narrow Culverton Rd and cross Venslooe Hill at marshal point to Looe Down Farm. After the turning point, retrace your steps, crossing Coldstyle Rd and following pavement downhill past Lux Park Leisure Centre to Liskeard School. RELAY TEAMS The hand over from swim to bike and bike to run will be in the transition zone. Bike riders will need to wait for the swimmer to the left hand side of their racked bike.
