INTRODUCTION Dear user, Interval hypoxic training restores vitality! We are pleased that you have chosen the CellAir Gecko. This microprocessor-controlled hypoxicator is an excellent choice for carrying out interval hypoxic-hyperoxic training (IHHT) with the Made in Germany quality rating! Please read these operating instructions carefully before using the CellAir Gecko for the first time. Keep this manual carefully for future reference, make it available to other users and follow the instructions below. With kind regards, Your CELLGYM-Team Basics Interval hypoxic-hyperoxic training (IHHT) More energy, more out of life Interval hypoxic-hyperoxic training (IHHT) works in a similar way to the proven altitude training for athletes and improves your performance. In contrast to altitude training, CellAir Gecko uses a controlled training hypoxia (17% - 9% oxygen) and a hyperoxia (32% - 34% oxygen) at intervals at normal air pressure. This means that, during your training, you sometimes breathe air with more oxygen and sometimes with less. Unlike altitude training, the entire training session is carried out comfortably when lying down or half-sitting, in complete relaxation. The CellAir Gecko automatically determines the optimal training stimulus for you using a programmed test system, so that optimum results are achieved and the side effects of a period spent at high altitude are completely avoided. The average duration of a training session is 40 minutes. A course of 15 to 20 training sessions is recommended. SITE 4 04/2018

SAFETY REGULATIONS Important information Please observe the following instructions very carefully. Prerequisites General information Before switching on the CellAir Gecko for the first time, this manual must be carefully read and understood. In case of improper use or maintenance of the system, the manufacturer is not responsible for direct or indirect damage to the material or persons involved. If required, we can offer appropriate training. Please contact us directly or register at http://cellairgecko.de/welcome or use the Info Portal menu item in your CellAir Gecko app. The CellAir Gecko is a sophisticated training device whose production is subject to constant quality controls. Careful handling and regular maintenance is essential to ensure safe use of the device. The manufacturer recommends that the equipment and accessories are inspected both on receipt and before each use to ensure that the equipment is in good condition and safe use is guaranteed. Before commissioning the system, make sure that: The CellAir Gecko is standing on a flat, stable surface and the air circulation is not restricted by a carpet or similar; The CellAir Gecko is put into operation in a room where constant temperatures of more than 10 degrees Celsius are prevalent; The power supply is plugged into the wall socket and the power cable is connected to the CellAir Gecko. If a power outlet switch is present, make sure that it is switched on; You have switched on the CellAir Gecko. The switch is located on the back of the unit. Storage Accessories The CellAir Gecko must not be stored below 0 degrees Celsius! The CellAir Gecko may only be operated with original parts offered by the manufacturer of this unit. There is a high safety risk if unsuitable accessories are used. 2017 - CELLGYM Technologies GmbH SITE 5

SCOPE OF DELIVERY Hypoxicator CellAir Gecko microprocessor-controlled hypoxicator The CellAir Gecko hypoxicator is the innovative heart of your training system. CREATING USERS Create new user Selecting or creating a new user In the User Profile menu, you can: 1. Select or change existing users with or 2. Enter and save a new user Program selection Selection or creation of a new training program In the CellAir Gecko app you can create your own training programs and save them under a freely chosen name. Hypoxia test Two programs are already stored in the app: 1. Hypoxic test Before carrying out your first own training program, you should first perform a hypoxic test. After the test, you will receive a statement about the training intensity which you should use to start your next cell training. SITE 14 04/2018

HYPOXIA- & BREATH HOLDING TEST Hypoxia test The task of the hypoxia test is to determine the current O2 concentration of the hypoxic air at which the O2 saturation in the blood of this user is 85%. This value depends on the user, the fitness level of the user and may or will change over time for the same user. It is, therefore, recommended to repeat the hypoxia test at regular intervals. By selecting the Hypoxic test button, the program starts fully automatically. The icon takes you to the Gecko Control Center where you can change and save the initial O2 concentration in the inhaled air with the - and + keys. Further information on the hypoxia test is available via the Info Portal menu of the CellAir Gecko app. Breath holding test 2. Breath holding test The breath holding test serves to document the progress of the training. How long the test person can hold their breath is measured. Test procedure: Inhale and exhale normally 3 times without mask. After the 3rd time of exhaling, close the mouth and nose (with 2 fingers). Start the timer. Hold your breath until forced to inhale. Stop the timer. The result is saved in the app. 2017 - CELLGYM Technologies GmbH SITE 15

CREATING & MODIFIYING PROGRAMS Creating a new program To create a new training program: Select the New Program button in the Program Selection menu and you will be taken to the Control Centre. The following settings can be changed with the - and + keys: Number of cycles In conjunction with the phase length of hypoxia/hyperoxia, the total program length results from the number of cycles. Oxygen saturation CUT-OFF range (SpO 2 ) The safety CUT-OFF value is a limit value of the O2 saturation (SpO2) in the blood. If this value is not reached for a defined period, the system automatically switches to an O2 concentration of 34%. Length of the hypoxia phase Control Centre The length of the phase with a low O2 concentration in the air. Length of the hyperoxia phase The length of the phase with an O2 concentration in the inhaled air of 34%. Set O2 value O2 concentration in the inhaled air during hypoxia phases. Program run modes Buttons for the program run are multifunctional (see function keys). Program name The name of your training program can be freely selected and saved. You can manually change the O2 concentration in the inhaled air during hypoxia phases and the SpO2 CUT-OFF during the live program. SITE 16 04/2018
