Yu nly want t practice as lng as yu can keep the players attentin span t cnduct at prductive practice. b) Try t keep things simple and fun, kids learn better when they are having fun. 2l Warm Up: a) Start ff by ding a 10 min warm up wrking the children's mtr skills, speed and agility, and preparing their minds fr practice. b) fter a 10 min warm up, take at least 2 mins t get a gd Organized static (standing still) team stretch " led by the caches". c) Bunny Hp: Set up 5 cnes abut 2 yards apart in a straight line, and then have a 6th cne that is abut 5 yards past the 5th cne. Have the kid's bunny hp with their feet tgether ver the 5 cnes, after the 5'h cne they will sprint thrugh the 6th cne. They shuld d this 5 t 7 times each. d) Single Leg Hp: have the cnes set up the same as the drill befre the nly difference is they will hp with ne ft ver the cnes 5-7 times, then switch and hp with the ppsite ft anther 5-7 times. e) 3 Hps then Sprint: This drill wrks n agility and mtr skills. Set up 2 cnes abut 5 yards apart. The players will start at the L't cne and hp side t side ver the cne 3 times after the 3'd hp; as sn as they land they will sprint thrugh the 2nd cne. f) Fr dvanced/older kids: Fr any drills abve, add a ball after the last cne and have the kids d te tuches, fundatin, r scissrs, etc. t add ball handling skills int the drills. g) Tag Yu're Out: Start ff by setting up a 20yd x 20yd square r smaller depending n the number f kids. The players shuld have a Penny that they tuck in the back f their pants like a tail. There shuld be ne player that is it, r tw fr a large grup. h) Cmmand Drill- White Cne, Cne and Red Cne: Have 3 cnes set up like the picture belw abut 5 yards apart. There are 3 players each standing at a cne facing the cach. The nly player that will mve is the ne at the middle cne. The cach will start ff by telling the player at the center cne either White Cne r Red Cne and the player will then run t that cne and slap the ther player hand and then that player runs t the middle cne. The player in the middle nw waits fr the cach's next cmmand. T make it a little harder, yu can say One fr White, and Tw fr Red and then repeat the drill. Change the cmmand t say "Cat" which is White and say Dg fr Red and repeat the play. Then mix up all the cmmands s the player in the middle has t think which cne they must g t. T further advance the drill, add in balls and have them dribble the balls t their designated cne. i) Simn Says: Set up a square 1-5yd x 20yd and have the players randmly stand inside the square with their ball a. Start by giving cmmands such as "tuch the ball with yur hand", "tuch the ball with yur knee", "tuch the ball with the sle f yur ft", "tuch the ball with yur frehead", "tuch the ball with yur elbw", r "squalfsit n the ball" etc. When yu say "G" the kids will start with their ball and d the cmmand and then see hw many ther balls they get t befre time is up. Yu shuld d each cmmand fr 1-5-30 secnds fr a ttal f 5 mins. b. dvance the game, have the kids dribble the balls arund in the square and then Yell Out a New Cmmand, they shuld d the cmmand, and then prceed t dribble until given the Next cmmand r t stp. Generally, this part is abut 5 mins. The game in ttal time shuld take 10 mins including the part and Part b

Mirrr Drill: Set up 2 cnes 3 yards apart. Have 2 players facing each ther starting in the middle f the 2 cnes. One player will be the leader and have the ball, and the ther player will be the mirrr. They have t mirrr/imitate what the leader des with the ball and try t beat the leader t the cne. Whever gets t the cne first gets a pint. Each play is fr 30 secnds. Mirrr Leader d) Knck ut: Set up a 15yd x 20yd grid. Yu will divide the players int 2 teams, fr example, a Red team and a Blue team. The Red team will start inside the grid dribbling their balls arund. There will be ne persn at a time frm the Blue team that ges inside the grid and tries t steal a ball frm a Red team player and kick it ut f the grid. When they steal a ball ne they run ut and a new Blue player cmes in and tries t steal anther ball. The Red player that lst their ball has t run and get their ball and cme back int the grid. Yu will d this fr L min keeping track f hw many balls the Blue team steals, and then switch and let the Red team try t steal the balls frm the Blue team.
e) Gates: Set up a 2Oyd x 25yd grid depending n hw many players yu have. Set up 8-10 gates with 2 different clrs (ex: Red and ) randmly inside the grid (the number f gates depends n hw many players yu have). Each player will start at a gate with their ball, and when tld t g they must dribble t the ther clr gate, then t anther gate the same clr as the gate they started, at keeping the sequence f Red-, Red,... they keep ging fr L min. f) Red light Green light: Set up a distance l-5 t 20 yards, with the cach standing n the ppsite side f the players. Then the Cach yells ut Green light, then the players run while dribbling the ball until the Cach says Red light, the players will stp the ball and wait t hear Green light again. The l-'t player that passes the cach is the winner. g) Figure Eight: Have 2 cnes set up abut 6 yards apart, and with n mre than 3 kids per set f cnes. a. Teach the kids hw t d a figure eight arund the cnes and start them ut just running arund the cnes t make the figure eight. The L" kid will g and when they get back t the L" cne they will slap the next persns hand and switch. b. dd a sccer ball and have them squat dwn and tap the sccer ball between their hands and walk arund the cnes ding a figure eight and then switch ut. This wrks n agility and teaches the kids hw t the bend their knees. c. Have them dribble the ball arund the cnes in a figure eight mtin and then switch ut.
h) Dribbling in yur Lane: Depending n the amunt f kids yu have split them up int equal grups. Set up cnes in 6 x L0 yard lanes. Then with anther clr cne set a cne at the end f each lane. The kids must then dribble dwn their lane trying t stay in the lane. Then have the players dribble arund the cne using the utside f their ft and dribble back t the ppsite end. ls, d this drill with ther dribbling techniques. I I i) 1vs. 1, then 2vs.2t Set up a 15x20 field with 2 gals n each side f the field. Yu have 2 teams with L player frm each team ging against each ther at a time. The cach stands in the center f the field n ne side and passes the ball ut t the center. The 1't player t scre in the ther team's gal gets a pint, and then the next set f players will cme n the field.
