General Outline If you have rowed previously, this program will give you the chance to rekindle old skills and revisit the wonders of rowing you so often remember from yester year. For those who have never rowed or watched people row and noted the beauty, mystique and challenges associated with the sport, here is your opportunity to experience the magic of rowing for yourself. You will develop new skills while at the same time improving your fitness and enjoying the relaxation and scenery in and around the Torrens Lake. Our experienced coaches will guide you to a reasonable level of proficiency within a few brief training sessions. The program will be conducted during October and November this year and will provide you with the opportunity to experience rowing for the first time, refresh old memories or just have a great time! Participants will undertake an orientation session (10am Sunday 23rd October), eight training sessions followed by a Regatta day (10am Sunday 20th November) where newly developed skills will be put to the ultimate test in a series of heats and finals. The 2016 PAC Henley on Torrens Community Rowing Challenge provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this sport and improve your fitness.
