FYI: ATTENTION WOMEN SKIERS Hello, My name is Beckie Madick, and I am the director of the Women's Snow Discovery program at BMBW. Hoping you might share some information with your female members. Our women's program runs for 6 weeks on Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 11 30 am at Boston Mills and on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8 30 pm (Alpine at Boston Mills and Snowboard at Brandywine. The lessons are at all levels beginners - advanced taught by women. We have had a very successful program for more than 20 years and would be delighted to add some of your members to our classes. If anyone is interested, she can sign up online at Boston Mills. The first class is Tuesday, January 2, 2018. On January 15 Lisa Densmore Ballard, former member of the US Ski Team and 6 year veteran of the Women's Pro Ski Tour will be at Buckeye Sports Center from 6 30-8 30 pm to talk about what's new in ski gear for women. She has competed in ski racing for most of her life, and today she is one of the top Masters racers in the world. She ended the 2017 season ranked #1 in Super G among all women and 3rd overall in her age group. Come and enjoy a wine and cheese party for the girls and check out the women's ski line with Lisa and Elan Rep, Ray Skelton. The next day, Tuesday, January 16 Lisa will be hosting another "Your Turn" women's ski event at Boston Mills. It begins at 8 30 am check-in and continental breakfast. Skiers will break into groups and proceed to demo area for skis. Morning on snow ski instruction, ski demo, video analysis for half the groups. Lunch. Afternoon on-snow instruction, ski demo, video analysis for the other groups. The ski day end at 3 00. Apres ski party at 3 30. Door prizes. The Holiday Circlefest is an annual University Circle event to kick off the season with music, art, ice sculpting and more. They now offer smaller portions on most entrees for those who want to keep it lighter. After dinner, we will head downstairs to the lounge to dance to live music.
