COMPETITION INFORMATION Training Dates : April 23 rd 16:00-20:00 hrs (Open) April 24 th 25 th - 8:00 12:00 and 14:00-18:00 hrs (Training Groups) Venue: Centre Sportif, Parc olympique Technical Meeting: The HMF/OC shall organize a Technical Meeting on Thursday, April 25th (24 Hours prior to the first competition of the Event), to be held at the Centre Sportif du Parc Olympique, (Salle de formation A). The FINA TDC shall chair this meeting. Exact timing will be communicated at a later date. Built for the 1976 Summer Games, the Centre sportif regularly hosted the FINA Diving Grand Prix from 2007 to 2012 and the FINA Diving World Series since 2018. The complex features 1m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m, and 10m towers, and numerous 1m and 3m springboards. The venue also possesses a world class dry-land training area with padded floors, dry boards, trampolines, and resistance training equipment. 2
More information: http://parcolympique.qc.ca/centresportif/en/ ATHLETE MEDICAL SERVICES First aid will be available at the competition venue during training and competition days for divers. Massage, athletic therapy, and chiropractic will be available on a pay per use basis for teams interested in accessing those services. The clinic is located directly at the competition venue. Lifeguards will be onsite at the competition venue to provide first aid during training and competition. A doctor and EMS will be onsite at the venue during competition times to provide medical treatment and emergency response. Ice will be available at the competition venue for the treatment of injuries. Physio tables will be available at the venue and host hotel for use. DIVERS AND TEAM OFFICIALS SEATING Only divers/coaches that are presently competing will be allowed in the field of play. A dedicated coaching area will be also provided for team officials to coach their divers. Divers and team officials not presently competing may remain on pool deck in the designated seating area, upstairs in the designated section of the bleachers, or can remain in the dry-land training space. EVENT INFORMATION DESK A Sport Information Desk will operate at the competition venue on the days of competition, as well as during any scheduled training sessions. NOTE: All the withdrawal and correction forms must first be approved by the referee and then handed to the Secretariat of the Competition. ACCREDITATION, ACCREDITATION DESK Accreditations will be distributed to teams and individuals upon their arrival at their host hotel. The Organizing Committee would like to provide up to date and accurate information about competing divers for inclusion in the spectator programme and commentary. We also require headshots of all divers and team staff attending the competition to be uploaded onto the GMS. RULES The FINA Diving World Series will be conducted under FINA rules. 3
JUDGES Scoring: For the individual competitions, scoring will be in accordance with FINA Diving Rules D7.5. For the synchronised competitions there shall be 9 judges, comprising 4 execution judges and 5 synchronisation judges. The secretaries shall cancel the highest and lowest execution awards and synchronisation awards and shall then calculate the score in accordance with FINA Diving Rules D7.7. PRIZE MONEY Local Prize Money: The HMF/OC shall provide and pay prize money to a total of USD 120 000 at each Event to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD 5 000 2 nd place: USD 4 000 3 rd place: USD 3 000 Sub-Total USD 12 000 Total x 10 events = USD 120 000 Overall Prize Money: FINA shall pay the overall prize money of USD 870 000 to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD 30 000 2 nd place: USD 20 000 3 rd place USD 15 000 4 th place USD 10 000 5 th place USD 7 000 6 th place USD 5 000 Sub-Total USD 87 000 Total x 10 Events=USD 870 000 A diver participating in an Individual Event is entitled to the overall prize money only if he/she takes part in all the meets of the Series. If a diver for reason of illness or injury is forced to withdraw part way through an event, the athlete will be deemed participated and will still be eligible for the prize pot as long as they participate in the remaining legs. For synchronized events, overall prize money will be paid only if a national federation s team takes part in all the meets of the Series 4
VISA INFORMATION Citizens of certain countries and territories need a visa to visit or transit Canada. Please note: If you hold a passport other than Canadian or you are stateless, you need a visa to visit or transit in Canada. Canada has introduced a new requirement for countries that previously did not require a visa to enter Canada. This is called an eta (electronic travel authorization). To find if you need a visa or eta please search this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp Visa assistance will be provided to those National Federations that have completed the registration process in the FINA GMS by the specified registration deadline. This includes the submission of all mandatory data such as photo and an electronic scan of each person s passport. Due to processing times, the deadline to submit a request for a visa letter is Wednesday February 27 th, 2019 TRANSPORTATION The local organizing committee will be providing transportation for those arriving at the Montreal- Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (YUL). If you are arriving by train or bus, pick-ups can be arranged within Montreal as well. Throughout competition week, a shuttle schedule will operate to transport participants from the hotel to venue at regular intervals. Exact timing will be provided in the competition meet package. For departures on April 28 th and April 29 th, the local organizing committee will arrange shuttles from the host hotels or venue to Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (YUL). Airport transfers will only be provided to those that submit their flight information (Flight Number, departure date / time, arrival date / time, airline and any other information required in the flight details form) no later than Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Divers, team officials and support staff are asked to provide their flight details on FINA s GMS system. ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS According to the FINA rules, the organizing committee will provide full board accommodation (3 meals per day) for all qualified divers and one team leader/coach for each participating nation. The official accommodation period will be as follows: Arrival: Tuesday April 23, 2019 Departure: Monday April 29, 2019 Please note divers from the same federation who are of the same gender will be put into twin rooms. Reservations for additional accommodation will be available. Charges will apply for additional nights or single occupancy requests when double occupancy can be accommodated. 5

Across the street is Place Versailles shopping mall, and a selection of grocery stores, department stores, and restaurants. The Olympic park is a few short minutes away which keeps daily commutes to training and the competition to a minimum. The Olympic park also is home to the Olympic Stadium, Biodome, Botanical Garden, Planetarium and Saputo Stadium, some of Montreal s greatest tourist attractions.
