Christian Cowboys and Friends P.O. Box 187 Blanco, TX 78606 Address Service Requested Magazine Vol 21 Issue 2 March/April 2017 Presenting Jesus - He still cares- INTRODUCTION: My name is Ronnie Christian. I am a rodeo cowboy who loves Jesus and wants to bring others to know Him. I am a Lifetime Gold Card Member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. VISION: Reach rodeo cowboys and cowgirls with the Good News that Jesus loves them and Jesus Saves. Through this, their families, friends, and the many people they contact around the world, including ranchers and others in the horse and livestock industry will know God cares for them and Jesus is Lord. EXPECTATION: See people saved, set free, healed spiritually, physically, and emotionally, filled with the Holy Sprit, and living a life pleasing to God. Decisions... Decisions... Follow Peace! Lion and the Lamb Jesus is the Lion and the Lamb. We are to be like Jesus, so we too are the lion and the lamb. This Month s Message by Ronnie Christian Page 3 Jesus, when He walked on earth, had the power of the lion and the nature of the lamb. He had power, but He did not abuse it; instead He used it to help people and accomplish the will of His Father. He walked in love and power at the same time. Check these Scriptures which describe Jesus as the Lion and the Lamb. Revelation Chapter 5 is talking about the judgments that will come on the earth in the endtimes and who is worthy to open the books that will begin these events. Revelation 5:1-5 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. (2) Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals? (3) And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. (4) So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. (5) But one of the elders said to me, Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals. The Lion is Jesus. John the Baptist was baptizing in the Jordan River and Jesus walked toward him. Listen to John s description of Jesus. John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! AS A LION: Jesus took a whip and chased the money changers from the temple of God. When a demon manifested in front of Jesus, He cast it or them out; He spoke to the storm and the wind and rain to ceased; He stood up to the religious leaders of the day and corrected and rebuked them. In Jesus home town when they wanted to throw Him off a cliff He walked right through the crowd. He healed leprosy and other diseases, spoke to fever and it left, opened the eyes of the blind, healed many people sicknesses and diseases, and performed many other miracles, including raising people from the dead. continued on page 2 Bill Tutor Eye on the Prize - Encouraged Not Discouraged Bill Tutor of Huntsville, Texas keeps his calm and his focus when he is winning and when he is struggling. He finished 16th last year (2016) in the World Bareback Riding standings, which is one place out of making the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. See article on page 4

Lion and the Lamb Jesus is the Lion and the Lamb. We are to be like Jesus, so we too are the lion and the lamb. continued from page 1 This Month s Message by Ronnie Christian AS A LAMB: Jesus operated in compassion and the fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Jesus forgave sinners. He fed the masses. Jesus spent time with children. He was not out to condemn but to save. When the woman was brought to Him who had been caught in the act of He showed her mercy, yet He gave her a better standard to live by also- Stop Sinning So we see Jesus as a Lion and a Lamb. I John 3:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. As Christians, followers of Jesus, there are times for us to be the lion and at other times to be the lamb. We have to be bold enough to stand up for righteousness. Some things we must put a stop to. There are times we take authority over sickness and demons, and the perverse ways of men. We don t just sit idly by and let evil rule. God s raises up a standard against evil, and we should also.. If we don t the devil s crowd and the world will be glad to tell us what to teach our children and make ungodly laws in the land. Jesus said in Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. And Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit for us to be bold in our Christian walk and also for us to walk in love toward God and mankind. Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion. I spoke in Austin, Texas in the state Capital Building to the Senators in 2016. We (about 100 ministers) were there to speak up for a proposed law, The Pastor s Protection Bill. It was about ministers not being forced to do marriages we did not agree with based on Scripture. I remembered something I had heard about a man who was roaring like a lion at some meetings in Toronto, Ontario, Canada several years back,. He said he was from China and that his country had been under the spell of the spirit of the dragon too long; it was time be under the Spirit of the Lion of Judah. Years later he came back to Toronto and told the people there that they are now preaching Jesus and making disciples to about 5-7 million people in China. Just before we went into the Senate chambers in the big rotunda building for the hearing, I roared like a lion very loud. My Ronnie and Cherlyn Christian pastor and few intercessors I had met that day looked surprised, and then just smiled. I felt bold and very calm. When it was my turn to speak the atmosphere changed. The only Congressman that was objecting and challenging us became quiet and very nice in the way he talked and received us. People that knew him said, That man was different. So there are times to be bold as a lion for the kingdom of God. The Bill went through the process very quickly and passed as a law in Texas. Be bold when you pray for people, and when you speak to mountains and challenges people face. The mountains will become a plain, or just go into the sea. Be bold when telling people about Jesus. Speak the truth in love. Be a bold witness for God. The Holy Spirit will empower you and give you the words to speak. He who wins souls is wise. Jesus has equipped us to be over comers in life. He has made us to be lights in a dark world. Let your light shine for God. Be the lion. Be the lamb. Pray this: God, I am a sinner; forgive my sins. Wash me clean by the Blood of Jesus. I receive Jesus now as my Savior and Lord. I receive eternal life. I pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to help me live a life pleasing to God, my Father. In Jesus name - Amen. Now read the Bible and pray daily, attend church regularly, get water baptized, and ask Jesus to baptize you (fill you) with the Holy Spirit for power to be an over comer in life. (Read Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8-9, 6:23, 10:9-10, 13, Acts 2:38, John 3:16) You can be a Cowboy Partner in this ministry with your prayers, finances, talents and other gifts. We continue to minister at rodeos, bull ridings, barrel races, ropings, Cowboy Churches, and to people along the way. Service: What about your group? Is there anything that we can do for you? Let us know. Isaiah 6:8 Also, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, Here am I; Send me. I ll go! Ronnie Christian Phil 4:19 2

Decisions... Road of Turmoil Road of Peace Decisions... Psalm 34:14... Seek peace and pursue it. (How To Make Decisions) Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness without which no one will see the Lord. (NKJV) Romans 8:14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and the fruit of the Holy Spirit includes peace. (Gal 6:22) The Holy Spirit leads, therefore, we are to follow Him. Almost every week of my life, I give someone this advice - follow peace. Sometimes when you are at a crossroad, you think to do something sometimes, but you have a feeling down in your stomach not to do it. Actually it s down in your spirit in your innermost being. I call it a check in your spirit. You may think Oh, that s just me. It s not! It s the Holy Ghost saying, No, no don t do it. There s trouble ahead. Now you can overlook the check, but it always comes back. Problem is, when it comes back, it may be AFTER you have married the wrong person, took the wrong job, made the wrong move, got the wrong business partner, bought the wrong property, made the wrong business deal, took the wrong trip, and so on. Learn to hear from God. Follow that check. What you are considering may look good, sound good, feel good. Everything says go for it, but you ve got this check inside not to. You don t have peace about it. Follow peace! It s God trying to help you stay out of a mess. On the other hand, it may look bad, sound bad and seem crazy. Everything and everybody says, Don t do it. But you have peace about it, go for it. Be sure to pray and get the peace of God and the mind of God in it. Don t try to talk yourself into peace with your mind, will and emotions. That is your soulish area. Know down in your spirit. Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him (God) and He will direct your paths. Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice and they follow Me... He is talking - we best be listening. Remember, the Lord always has your best interest at heart. He is wanting to keep us out of a wreck and lead you to a place of blessing. Now, you can go in the peace and direction of God and still have battles, but He will take you through them. Moses didn t go over the Red Sea; he went through it with God. He saw a major miracle and experienced a wonderful victory for the nation of Israel. Paul, the apostle, was told by the Spirit of God to go to Rome. On the way there he had a shipwreck and was floating on a piece of wood to get to shore. However, he did Road of Decision Follow Peace 3 make it to Rome. Spend time in prayer. Spend time in the Word of God - the Bible. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. When you do what He says and go where He leads, it will always be in peace. Jesus said in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. and in John 16:23 He said, These things have I spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. Another very important thing to remember is this. The Bible says wisdom is the principle thing, so get wisdom and with wisdom get understanding (see Proverbs 4) How are we to do this? There are practical ways to check something out. But there is a supernatural way as well. Ask God for it. James 1:5-6 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach (without finding fault), and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without doubting...verse 7 For let not that man expect he will receive anything from the Lord. Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God... Wait on the Lord, be still before Him, get wisdom, get counsel, then go in peace. Many decisions we think need to be made now are not so urgent that you must decide immediately; you will have time to consider it in prayer and reading the Word until you get peace about it. But sometimes life puts out a situation that you must respond to immediately. That s okay. God is very capable of giving you quick direction and peace as to how to handle any and everything. Be quick to follow the check to not go ahead, or the leading to go ahead from the Holy Spirit for a life of blessings. Keep following Him. Keep pursuing peace. PEACE WITH GOD: The first thing Jesus said to His disciples after He arose from the grave was Peace be with you. (John 20:19) That is exactly what Jesus came to give us along with love, abundant life and life eternal. Colossians 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace continued on page 5 Pastor-Tawana (TJ) Henley Church Sunday 10 a.m. P.O. Bill Tutor Eye on the Prize - Encouraged Not Discouraged Bill Tutor of Huntsville, Texas keeps his calm and his focus when he is winning and when he is struggling. He finished 16th last year (2016) in the World Bareback Riding standings, which is one place out of making the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Tutor is not shaken, but continuing in his quest. He had already started his winnings build up for the 2017 season before 2016 was over. Only a few weeks after the WNFR was over in December Tutor won the PRCA Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo and also was crowned the 2016 PRCA Texas Circuit Champion Bareback Rider. This qualifies him for the National Circuit Finals this spring. The dollars won there count toward the world standings this year. And he is having a good 2017 so far. At the time of this article Bill is #2 in the World Standings. Some people come up short and feel like failures and flop; others like Bill bounce right back into action. We can flop or we can bounce. Bill is a bouncer. It is the same in our journey with Jesus. Sometimes we fail. However we can learn and do better next time. Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. (13) Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, (14) I press on toward the goal for the prize of theupward call of God in Christ Jesus. When Bill comes up short and Bill Tutor finds himself not winning in rodeo or in life, he learns and goes on to win again. He keeps his confidence in his abilities, and he keeps his trust in God. He knows God can turn things to good. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Tutor knows he can trust God when thing go good and when things are not so good. Jesus says, Peace be with you. Tutor has learned to receive the peace that Jesus offers. Bill puts his hand to the task at hand. He is also a busy farrier, shoeing horses between rodeos. I have watched Bill grow in his abilities as a Bareback Rider since we met several years ago at a Rodeo School and Bible Camp in Huntsville, Texas sponsored by Branded For Christ Cowboy Church. (Bubba Miller is the Pastor there and also was Bill s rodeo coach on the Sam Houston State University Rodeo Team.) I have watched Tutor grow spiritually as well. The Bible tells us, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (II Peter3:18). Bill always attends Cowboy Church at rodeos where we minister and he encourages others to attend by his presence. He is still in the learning and growing mode. He is also a Cowboy Partner with Christian Cowboys and Friends. We look forward to seeing Bill Tutor riding and winning and continuing to honor the Lord in and out of the rodeo arenas. Decisions... Decisions... Follow Peace continued on from page 3 through the blood of His cross;... If you don t have peace with God and know you are saved, pray this. Lord, I am a sinner. I don t have peace with you. But right now I ask You to forgive me and wash me clean by the blood of Jesus. Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me on the cross and giving me a home in Heaven, peace on earth and peace with God. Holy Spirit lead me in peace and help me to be the child of God you want me to be. (Read John 3:16, Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9-10, 1 John 5:11-13) Now, get baptized, read the Bible everyday, pray everyday, and meet with other believers often. ON THE TRAIL Winter and spring rodeo season is is full swing now. This is our busiest time of the year. In January and February we were close to home. But it is travel time again. We will once again be ministering at rodeos and bull ridings, plus Cowboy Churches and other places as doors open. We sponsored Seize The Moment Cowboy Ministers Conference in Boerne, TX this January. God opens doors that no man can close. (Revelation 3:8). When those doors are open it is time to move and complete your destiny and God given assignment and opportunities. Cowboy Ministers and other attendees left encouraged and equipped to seize the moment and the territory that God has given them. We are to be about the Father s business, and recognize when to proceed and when to wait upon God s timing and methods. We recently went to World Healing Center in San Antonio, TX at the invite of Pastor John Wakabi. Wakabi believes God has sent him to the USA to help bring a move of God and revival to our land. He understands what that is. In Uganda where he grew up the country was governed by a dictator with mass murder and violence. It was 90% Muslim at the that time. Now the King and Queen are Christians. The whole country has done a major turn around. It is a miracle. The country now is over 95% Christian. In San Antonio where we ministered people were re-assured that God does love them and Jesus has accepted them and still does accept them. The devil will lie, people will condemn you, and sometimes people condemn themselves to the point they think Jesus does not love them or accept them anymore. That comes from a lying spirit. We dealt with that, and saw joy return. Also several very young children from ages six to eight prayed to receive Jesus as Savior. Do not make light of a young persons decision to receive Jesus. I did so at six and a half years of age and was water baptized. Later as an adult I reaffirmed that decision. I went to a CPRA Rodeo in Bulverde, Tx in January at the Tejas Rodeo Arena where we held Cowboy Church. They gave us the announcer s microphones, so people around the arena were able to attend although they were not sitting in the bleachers where we were. I taught on how Jesus is the name above every name one performance and then on how Jesus is the Lion and the Lamb of God the last perf. We are blessed that the Word of God goes to hungry cowboys and cowgirls in the rodeo world. Many are saved, set free, healed, Ridin With Christ Fellowship P.O.
