Welcome to The North East of England Championships 2013 On behalf of Clann na ngael we would like to extend to you all a very warm North East welcome to our 21st annual event. We have now decided to stay with our new venue at Benfield Sports Centre, The Wallsend Memorial hall has been renovated, the additional rooms have been turned into smaller meeting rooms which are unsuitable to accommodate a dancing competition. The new venue is a fabulous Sports Centre which is very close to our original venue. We will be running a third hall for set dance recalls, and there will be a 100% recall in all open championships. We have an impressive group of adjudicators and musicians, and look forward to the very high standard of dancing our event always attracts. Open and prelim championships will run as separate competitions, which will include 3 solo results in both competitions. There will be a parade of all champions at the end of the day which will include open, preliminary and local champions. Teachers awards will be presented in overall grade sections. Included is a provisional timetable, a final timetable will be issued to all entered schools, and will also be published on our web site, and on the Instep Feis Management site. As always we will have a full canteen providing both hot and cold food throughout the day. We look forward to seeing you all and thank you for your continued support.
