No brand or model of metal detector is endorsed by the club. Membership is open to the public with the only requirement being that all members follow the Treasure Hunters Code of Ethics. Club dues are $25.00 per year. Meetings: We meet on the first Friday of each month at the Wagoner Community Building at the corner of Jefferson and Cherokee Street in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Meeting begins at 7:30 pm Next Meeting: Friday, June 1, 2018.

Three Forks Treasure Hunters Club The Outpost Page 2 April 2018 Secretary s Notes Meeting was called to order at 7:35, with the pledge led by Matt Fortney and the prayer by Howie Rosser. Vice President Howie welcomed members. He welcomed three new members: Rex Oden, who learned about the club via Facebook, Melvin Cullum, who learned about the club via Francis Tracy, and Tre Knight, who learned about the club via Bev. We had one other guest. Howie reminded members to turn in the pull tabs by the end of the break, which goes to the Ronald McDonald House. Howie read this month s birthday and anniversary, and the members sang Happy Birthday to Gary Young. Cathy then gave the Secretary s report, followed by Larry s Treasurer s report. Larry talked about the detectors bought for the main hunt, prizes, and coin prizes to be given away at the National Hunt. He also talked about the need for volunteers to run the various hunts, and if anyone is interested, please see a board member. Cathy sent around a list of food items needed for the National Hunt, and several members signed up. Larry mentioned the Topeka Treasure Hunter s Club has a hunt in May, if anyone is interested, to see the flyer on the front table. At the club s Spring Night Hunt, one prize ($10) was not found. A drawing was held with those who paid/showed up. And the winner is.. Jerry Callison. told a story about detecting, and Howie talked about trying to find some property hunts for members. He told members to let a board member know if they hear of any place the club can go detect together. Larry shared how that Willie Wetzel has helped the club several times by donating money. He recommended to honor Willie with a Lifetime membership. Mary Tracy motioned to make Willie a Lifetime member, and Howie Rosser seconded it. It was unanimously passed by all members present. The Donation Raffle was held with Mary Tracy officiating, and with the assistance of Howie Rosser and Miranda Young. There were 21 prizes donated. Break time All are invited to enjoy the cookies and coffee, as well as vote on the displays brought in by members. The Finds of the Month amateur and professional winners were calculated and announced by Richard Carr, Francis Tracy. The Golden Eagle goes to Ken Fanning for his 1898 O Barber Half. All finds for the Find of the Month contest found since the April meeting are to be brought to the June 1st meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:00. Gibson only to find a new assignment waiting for him. Capt. Harrison told him to take a special package to be buried for a fallen soldier. Getting his directions he was to locate a sixty-nine year old guy at a camp site who would lead him to the burial location. There he was to bury this package at the stone memorial. Three Forks Treasure Hunters Club The Outpost Page 6 YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!!!! As we approach May, its time to finalize plans for our club s National Hunt. WE NEED YOU to help with the various hunts, set up the chairs and tables, string fields, bury coins/tokens, work in the concessions, raffle off silver halves while people are waiting to begin their next hunt, sell tickets at the detector raffle table, and help clean up after the hunt. FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED!! Attention all bakers...we need some homemade desserts to sell in the concession stand. There will be a food list passed around the April meetings. If you can donate any items, please write your name down and get with Cathy to make sure she can get the items before the hunt. CONCESSIONS: Breakfast: Biscuits & Gravy, Eggs to order, Sausage biscuits, and more! Don t forget the Hunter s Special! Lunch/Dinner includes: Hamburgers, Hot dogs, Frito Chili Pies, Nachos, Chips, and more. Lots of homemade desserts. Lots of help is needed to make the concession stand work efficiently. ALL proceeds go to help fund club activities. Bingo - The games will begin at 7:00 pm for Cash and Prizes! BINGO cards are purchased for $3.00 each or 2/$5.00. Popcorn will be sold before and during the half-time break. Your Help is needed to run and/or bury the following hunts: (If you are interested, please see a board member.) A little info about each Hunt: Silver Half Dollar Hunt - Silver half dollars will be buried in this field. All fees are used to buy silver halves. Gold Coin/Wheat Cent Hunt -1500 Wheat pennies are buried along with targets for the Gold Coins. All fees are used to first buy the wheat pennies and then for the gold coins. Silver & Dollar Hunt Golden dollars will be buried with prize tokens marked for the silver dollars. There will be 1 Silver Dollar for every 2 entries. All fees are put into this hunt. Deep Competition Hunt - Targets are buried deep in the field. Points are scored for each target found. All fees are paid out to 1 st, 2 nd, & 3 rd place winners. Ladies Hunt - Silver and tokens for Prizes will be buried. 80% of fees are for silver and 20% of fees are for prizes. Silver Quarter Hunt Silver quarters will be buried, with all fees put into this hunt. Main Coin & Prize Hunt Silver dimes and tokens for prize targets will be buried. We will have 1 Medal Detector for each 25 entries. All fees are used for Coins, Prizes, and Detectors. Members are asked to bring prizes valued at $25 to be used as prizes in the main hunt. FREE Night Hunt - This hunt will take place after BINGO. Bullets, Buttons, Coins, and other items will be in placed in the field. No lights are allowed! Donations are appreciated. Kids Hunt - For kids ages 12 and under. Lots of coins and prizes tokens are put in the field. *Adults are asked to stay out of the Kids hunt field all day. Be an ACTIVE club member Come out and help make YOUR club s National Hunt successful!!

The extreme depth and performance in all terrains with this detector, is perfect for land and water (to 10 ft.) detecting, so it will fit all your metal detecting needs. Don t forget to bring in the tickets you sold to your family and friends, or anyone interested in metal detecting. You can still purchase tickets at the hunt site. Tickets are $1 ea ch. The drawing will be on Sunday, May 6th, after the Main Hunt.
