1. Schedule and format The event takes place at Drentsche Golf & Country Club (DG&CC) - http://www.dgcc.nl. The Tulip Golf Challenge is an individual strokeplay event played over 54 holes with no cut. Players will play 18 holes on each tournament day starting Friday October 21th 2016. The official practice round will take place on Thursday 20th of October 2016. 2. Conditions of Competition The tournament will be held in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Limited, the actual rules of the Dutch Golf Federation approved by the tournament committee. The local rules will be published and posted on the scorecard and tournament notice board at the venue. The competition is deemed to be closed when the trophy has been presented. Play will not be extended beyond Sunday 23th of October. All players accept that photos made during the tournament will be published. The free practice round can be played on Thursday 20th of October. Bookings: henk@progolfevents.nl Boys will play from the white tees and girls will play from the blue tees. 3. Qualifying Event The competition is a handicap qualifying event and according to the GJG eligibilities. 4. Eligibility to play This event is co-sanctioned between the GJG Tour and 21golfleague and is open to amateur golfers, both boys and girls: A. In the age classes GJG Tour players age 12-18 (max. 18 at the start of the event) GJG Tour players age 18-21 (max. 21 at the start of the event) B. All players must be members of a registered golfclub C. Handicap limit Boys: 5 Girls: 8 D. Tees Boys: White Girls: Blue 5. Number of entries The Tulip Golf Challenge can handle no more than 84 participants. The tournament committee reserves the right to change / limit the size of the field. One third of the field will be designated for girls.
6. Prizes - Numbers 1 3 gross for both boys and girls in GJG tour - Numbers 1 3 gross for both boys and girls in 21 Golf League In the event of a tie in each of these groups, the winner will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. In the event of places 2 and 3 will be even, that will be decided as a scorecard tiebraker. Taken into account until a difference in the number of strokes happens are: - The last round total - The last 9 holes - The last 3 holes - The last hole - 2nd round total - The last 9 holes of the 2nd round etc The Award Ceremony will take place at the clubhouse 30 minutes after conclusion of play. 7. Entries Application for participation is only possible for members of the Global Junior Tour and 21golfleague. 8. Closing date of entries Sunday - October 2th 2016 9. 10. Accommodation International players, parents or guides who book the Players Package or Tournament Package will be hosted at the Golf Lodge at the Drentsche Golf & Country Club or hotel Bonte Wever close to the golf course (max. 10 min. drive) from Wednesday 19th October until Sunday 23rd October (four nights) in shared or triple room accommodations. Breakfast will be provided in the clubhouse of the Drentsche Golf & Country Club or in the lobby of the Bonte Wever depending on where you are staying. 12. Side program 12.1 Competition committee introduction At the players night we will introduce ourselves as well as the chairman of the golf club. The DG&CC offers perfect facilities for showering and changing clothes after the practice round. 12.3 Physiotherapist Our physiotherapist Paul Karreman is specialized in golf and has treated Dutch tour players like Joost Luiten and Daan Huizing. Starting times The starting times will be announced no later than at 10:00 (GMT) on Thursday 20th of October. On the internet and the noticeboard at the clubhouse. 14. Dress code Shirts with collar and no jeans. 15. Behavior Rude unsportsmanlike conduct or improper behaviour in general, including the use of alcohol, will not be tolerated and will jeopardize further participation at the tournament. 16. Subject to change The competition committee reserves the right to alter starting times and amend the regulations if necessary. Decisions of the committee will be final (subject to alterations without notice).
17. Travelling to Assen International players arriving in Schiphol Airport need to travel from Schiphol (Amsterdam) to Assen. The address of the Drentsche Golf & Country Club is: Street: Ten Oeverstraat 13 Zip code and town: 9489 TH Zeijerveen Shuttle service (Players and Tournament Package) We have arranged a shuttle service from Schiphol (Amsterdam) to Assen and from hotel De Bonte Wever to the DG&CC for players, parents and guides who have booked the Players- or Tournament Package. We will personally inform all players, parents and guides about the shuttle departures. By car The drive from Schiphol/Amsterdam to Assen is quite easy just follow the signs Amersfoort - Zwolle - Assen and takes about two hours, depending on road conditions and the number of stops. The distance is about 200 km.
