I n s i d e t h i s i s s u e : From the GM 1 Upcoming 2 Food & 3 Beverage Golf News & 4 Catering & 5 Membership 6 April 2015 7 Calendar of Oronoque Links From the General Manager Jason Waters, PGA I want to start off by thanking all of the members I have met in the past few weeks for helping make me feel at home. I am truly excited to be your General Manager and am really looking forward to a great 2015 season. For those I have not met, I hope to get the chance very soon. I am very fortunate to be coming to Oronoque following Greg Lauzier. Greg led the charge in making improvements to the club and luckily I have been able to have many talks with Greg about Oronoque which will help me hit the ground running. There are some tremendous opportunities for the club and by continuing along the path Greg started, I can see many success stories in the very near future. The club is very fortunate to have so many talented returning staff members and I am lucky to have them as part of the team. Our management team of Garth, Dustin, Liz, Tom, Shelley and Kate are working hard to develop a fun year for all our members. Lana has moved on to become the Membership Director at Orchards, but she will be continuing to help us with our communications through the year. The past few weeks, the staff has tried to look at the club in a different light, trying to notice many of the little things that could be fixed, cleaned, replaced or F R I D A Y, A P R I L 3, 2 0 1 5 General Manager, Oronoque Country Club / Orchards Golf Club or painted. A number of projects have been completed. The ballroom, upper bar, steakhouse, hallways, front entrance and back stairwell have all been re-painted. Behind the upper bar, all wires have been consolidated and hidden. All beams have been dusted. All lights have been repaired or replaced. The beer tap system from the upper bar has been re-located to Traditions. A malfunctioning sump pump has been replaced. A faulty drain has been repaired. The club s boiler has been fixed. Some of these items are small fixes, and others require significant resources. Our new ownership has been very receptive to the needs of the club and allowed us to address these immediate needs. As we continue during the year, we are expecting more projects to be completed, enhancing your member experience. The winter has to end soon and hopefully by this time next week, we ll be able to play golf, instead of just watching it on TV. I look forward to getting to know all of you better in the coming weeks and appreciate any and all feedback on the club. My goal is to work with the staff to make Oronoque more enjoyable for every member. Your input is appreciated. Thank You.
