The club offers personal training, group fitness classes including sports-specific weight training and massage services. Personal Training learn proper form during exercise while using a variety of equipment and techniques. Certified Personal Trainers are on staff at all times and available by appointment. Group Fitness Classes Members can choose from a variety of indoor and outdoor classes lead by qualified instructors. Sports-specific weight training is available. Boca Woods Country Club Association Inc. and Boca Woods Property Owners' Association Inc.{POA) both enjoy healthy financial positions. A one million dollar clubhouse renovation was completed in 2009, which was funded internally, without assessment to the membership. In 2010 the Tennis Facility was completely refurbished and the Fitness Center was expanded and modernized, again without membership assessment. The Woods golf course was renovated in 2010, with new irrigation, tees, sand bunkers and greens. The lakes course has undergone a more extensive renovation, completed in November of 2011. These golf course projects are being partially funded with bank financing, at a modest incremental cost to the membership. In summer, 2011 the Cabana Grille casual dining facility was completely renovated with a state-of-the-art kitchen and expansion of the dining areas. A completely re-designed Cabana Grille was part of our member approved Capital Budget for 2011, and entailed no assessment to members. The Capital Budget for 2012 of approximately $1 million was approved by our members with no assessment. Improvements included a complete lobby re-design, a renovated boardroom, a renovated pool area, a new bar/patio terrace as well as major improvements to our golf course maintenance area. Most recently, the Capital Budget for 2013-2014 was passed in the amount of $700,000. Improvements with no assessments to the members will include, among other things, modernization of the Club's kitchen, new equipment for the Fitness Center, new storage buildings at the golf course maintenance department and additional landscaping throughout the Club and golf course. Boca Woods governing Board and its Management Staff strive for high-quality amenities while keeping a close eye on the bottom line. There has been only one operating assessment in recent years {2007), which amounted to less than $100 per member. Both the Country Club and POA budgets are carefully prepared and actual results closely monitored. Both corporations are audited each year by a major accounting firm. Unlike some of its peers, Boca Woods weathered the recent economic turmoil with considerable strength even though dues and other charges are generally below the median for clubs of this type in this area. Fewer than 2.7% of member accounts are currently in arrears. Residents of Boca Woods Country Club enjoy the security that mandatory membership provides, as it preserves the level of membership on which our budgets are based. This year's home sales with concurrent new club memberships have substantially exceeded prior years. Continuing interest in home sales remains very strong. Boca Woods POA has established a road and infrastructure reserve, which is funded on a monthly basis, for the eventual resurfacing of the community's streets and other necessary repairs. In addition, the POA has a substantial operating fund to cover emergency or unbudgeted repairs. The Country Club maintains a $1,000,000 line of credit to cover emergencies; the Club has not had to tap this resource in recent memory. Prospective members can expect both the Country Club and the POA to continue to operate in a fiscally conservative manner while providing an outstanding South Florida private country club lifestyle and environment.
