THE COACHES }Mike Szkodzinski (St. Norbert 2000) is in his seventh season at Lawrence and has a record of 87-101-17 (.466). }Bill Moore (St. Mary s 1985) is in his seventh season at St. Mary s and has a record of 44-109-8 (.298) THE SERIES }The teams have met only one time previously. St. Mary s defeated the Vikings 5-1 back on Jan. 5, 2008, in Winona, Minn. LAST SERIES Lawrence picked up the biggest win in program history with a 5-4 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory over No. 2 St. Norbert this past Saturday at the Cornerstone Community Center. Lawrence scored twice in a span of 1:06 in the final two minutes to complete the rally. That was part of four straight goals for the Vikings in the final period. St. Norbert had built a 3-1 lead through two periods with the help of two power-play goals in the opening period. The Green Knights made it 4-1 after Erik Cooper s unassisted goal just 1:08 into the third. Lawrence started the rally with a goal just 27 seconds later. Gustav Lindgren scored off assists from William Thoren and Ryan Eardley to cut the defict to 4-2. Lawrence s Renato Engler then picked up his first goal of the season off assists from Rudi Pino and Paul Zuke at the 11:24 mark and the deficit was only 4-3. Matt Moore then tied it for the Vikings with a goal with just 1:28 left on the clock. Brandon Boelter and Ryan Rumble, who had scored Lawrence s first goal, picked up helpers on Moore s tally. The Vikings completed the comeback when freshman Blake Roubos scored with just 22 seconds left off assists from Boelter and Logan Lemirande. The Green Knights pulled goaltender Tony Kujava late in the final seconds but coudn t get the equalizer. Goaltender Anton Olsson stopped 25 shots to pick up the win for Lawrence. Kujava made 14 saves for the Green Knights. St. Norbert broke Friday s game open with two second-period goals and went on to a 4-0 win at the Appleton Family Ice Center. The Green Knights broke a scoreless tie with Brandon Hoogenboom s goal just 2:33 into the second period. St. Norbert pushed the lead to 2-0 when Marian Fiala scored at the 14:08 mark. Cullen Bradshaw s power-play goal just 1:27 into the third period gave the Green Knights a 3-0 edge and helped seal the victory. Pijus Rulevisius capped the scoring at the 16:21 mark of the third for St. Norbert. David Jacobson stopped 15 shots to pick up the shutout for St. Norbert. Olsson made 38 saves for the Vikings.

VIKINGS UPDATE }Lawrence will need to refocus after its huge win over No. 2 St. Norbert this past Saturday. Lawrence has three games this week as it faces St. Mary's on Tuesday, travels to UW-Stevens Point on Friday and then hosts UW-Eau Claire on Saturday before the Vikings break for the holidays. }Some tidbits from Saturday s win over the Green Knights. This is the highest-ranked opponent Lawrence has ever beaten, and it marks the first time the Vikings have beaten St. Norbert since the Green Knights program achieved varsity status. The Vikings had not defeated St. Norbert since a 6-2 win over the school s club team in the 1987-88 season. }It also marks the highest-ranked team any Lawrence team has ever defeated. The Lawrence softball team beat No. 2 Chapman 1-0 back in 1998, and the men s basketball team beat No. 2 UW-Oshkosh 82-75 on Nov. 22, 2005. }The most amazing stat to come out of Saturday s victory was the unprecedented nature of the comeback. Entering Saturday s game, St. Norbert had a record of 237-1-2 at the Cornerstone Community Center, which St. Norbert has played in since 2000-01, when leading after two periods. Lawrence becomes just the second team to rally for a win on St. Norbert s home ice when trailing after two periods. }Freshman forward Blake Roubos (Niagara Falls, Ontario) certainly has shown a flair for the dramatic early in his college career. Roubos scored the gamewinner against St. Blake Roubos Norbert just a week after scoring with just nine seconds left in regulation to LAWRENCE S CAREER LEADERS Points 116 Marc Howe 2006-10 103 Nick Jennette 2005-09 103 Ryan Blick 2001-05 99 Joe Searl 2003-07 99 Mike Burkhart 2001-05 91 Matt Hughes 2008-12 89 Tom Conti 1998-2002 86 Brad Scurfield 2009-13 77 Josh Peterson 2004-08 73 Jameson Raymond 2008-12 Goals 65 Marc Howe 2006-10 48 Nick Jennette 2005-09 48 Mike Burkhart 2001-05 46 Matt Hughes 2008-12 43 Joe Searl 2003-07 40 Brad Scurfield 2009-13 40 Tom Conti 1998-2002 38 Ryan Blick 2001-05 36 Andy Rozanski 2001-05 32 Matt Melchiori 2000-03 Assists 65 Ryan Blick 2001-05 56 Josh Peterson 2004-08 56 Joe Searl 2003-07 55 Nick Jennette 2005-09 55 Jameson Raymond 2008-12 51 Marc Howe 2006-10 51 Mike Burkhart 2001-05 49 Tom Conti 1998-2002 46 Brad Scurfield 2009-13 46 Josh DeSmit 2007-11 46 Pete Mossberg 2002-06 Power Play Goals 19 Nick Jennette 2005-09 17 Brad Scurfield 2009-13 17 Mike Burkhart 2001-05 16 Joe Searl 2003-07 15 Marc Howe 2006-10 13 Jameson Raymond 2008-12 13 Ryan Blick 2001-05 Wins 41 Evan Johnson 2007-11 30 Andrew Isaac 2003-07 16 Daniel Ljung 2002-06 15 Peter Emery 2011-present 13 Grant Henderson 1998-2002 Saves 2519 Andrew Isaac 2003-07 2394 Evan Johnson 2007-11 2328 Grant Henderson 1998-2002 1682 Daniel Ljung 2002-06 971 Jim Bauchiero 1986-90 Shutouts 9 Evan Johnson 2007-11 4 Andrew Isaac 2003-07 2 Peter Emery 2011-present 2 Jim Ryan 2007-09 HEAD COACH MIKE SZKODZINSKI Hometown Brighton, Mich.
