General Show Information Date: September 15/16 2018 Time: Competitors Meeting 8am Saturday Venue: CWRA Arena, Mandeville Sports Centre Judge: Janine Gibbs Local Vet & Farrier: Rangiora Equine Services 03 312 5935, Mike Demmocks 022 133 9040 Ribbons: To 6th Place Prize Money: NO prize money Refunds: Competitors must produce a Vet or Doctors Certificate within 7 days of the first day of the show to obtain a refund. In this instance, 75% of the total entry will be refunded. Dogs: All dogs MUST be on a leash at all times. Yards: $5 one day, $10 duration of your stay please book yard on your entry form. Electric Tape Pens: All horses/ponies must be individually penned behind hot tape or otherwise yarded. Tape will be checked for Voltage, insufficient voltage will result in horses being yarded at owner s expense. Horses can be yarded at the discretion of the committee. Stallions: SEPARATE STALLION YARDS ARE AVAILABLE- Stallions must be securely yarded and/or supervised at all times Horses: Only horses entered in the show are allowed on show grounds. No tying directly to fence posts or yards, use baling twine. Camping: Camping is at no charge. Shower and toilet facilities are available. Please advise us if you intend to camp so that necessary arrangements can be made Food Onsite: There will be a limited array of food for sale from the office throughout the weekend at $2.00 donation each. Numbers: NZWRF numbers are to go on your entry form and horse numbers only to be worn. If your horse does not have a number please see the secretary on the morning of the show for a day number you will not be able to enter the ring without a number. Late Entries: Late entries will be accepted Please Note: This show is under the control of Show Management //CWRA Committee. All persons enter the grounds at their own risk. Entry fees per DAY (PLUS $5.00 ground fee to be paid once, so if you enter only 1 day you pay $5.00 or if you enter for both days you still only pay $5.00 ground fee) so enter as many events on each day as you wish. $30 for 1 day, $50 for both days Youth member $40 for 1 day, $60 for both days Youth non-member $50 for 1 day, $70 for both days Adult member $70 for 1 day, $90 for both days Adult non-member

CLASS DEFINITION & INFORMATION This is fun Back to Back Ribbon Days to give you an opportunity to practice your show skills for the upcoming season. No prize money this weekend. The Ribbon Days will be the same schedules for both days, but different patterns. See you there PERFORMANCE CLASSES: Will be run in accordance with NZWRF rule book. BEGINNER: these classes are intended for people who have not placed 1 st or 2 nd in 2 or more beginner classes. These classes are perfect those riders new to western riding and need to boost their confidence. NO CANTER IN THESE CLASSES. Not eligible to enter any canter classes. Can ride 2 handed in a snaffle. RANCH RIDING: as per NZWRF/AQHA Rule book Any horse entered in Ranch riding is not eligible for entry to any Western Pleasure class INTERMEDIATE: Anyone who qualifies as a Rookie or Novice Amateur AMATEUR /NOVICE AMATEUR: Competitors must hold a current NZWRF Amateur Card which must be carried and shown to the gate steward or a copy sent to the show secretary with entries. NO CARD NO ENTRY. ROOKIE RIDER: Any rider who has not won an open or age division class in any of the three designated rookie classes as at 1st August 1990, or has not earned an accumulation overall of 30 Rookie points in Rookie classes. Those eligible to ride in Rookie classes may ride a horse of any age two handed in a snaffle bit or hackamore but must use one hand if using a curb bit. JUNIOR/SENIOR YOUTH: Junior Youth 13 years & under, Senior Youth 14 18 years. Age as at 1st August. All youth must wear tagged helmets. We have combined the classes as Youth. ARRIVAL ON GROUNDS: Please complete your arrival/departure date information on your show entry so that grounds, facilities and yards are available for your use when you arrive. As stated above, these are intended to be fun days to see how you are going in preparation for the upcoming show season. If you are new to the sport, and are unsure of anything, please do let someone know it could be the gate steward, a fellow competitor, or the show secretary. We are all more than happy to help you find your feet.
