Do NOT have a team member call on anything pertaining to problems your team may have had. Involving a Host Location owner to call on your teams behalf is also unacceptable. Anyone cursing or being verbally abusive to any staff or League officials will result in suspension from the League for a minimum of 6 months. All threats by any team members of dropping their team from the League will result in that team, being dropped from the League roster as of that moment. We are here to help solve team problems and complaints. Knowing the rules and abiding by them, will keep problems to a minimum. But if you must call us remember, if we are asked to resolve an issue, our decision is final and the matter will not be reopened for further discussions. Procedures for turning in League fees and scoresheets: When your team finishes the match for the night, you have until 6 pm the following afternoon to turn in your scoresheet as well as weekly team fee s to a pickup and drop off, official Host Location. North Augusta S.C.: Wagon Wheel Check s & Money Orders: Since all teams are responsible for their team fees, until League Management can collect those fees from the Host Drop off Location. It is recommended that you turn in all League fees by Check or Money Order. Policies for checks are the following: All Checks and Money Orders will be made out to Billy or William Sweat ONLY! NO checks or money orders are to be made out to the APA, or APA Pool League, or American Poolplayers Association. Those checks will be returned and you will receive a past due on your scoresheet as if you had not paid at all. Returned Check Policy

1. Checks will be run, only once. 2. There is a $35 returned check fee for all bad checks 3. Checks will not be accepted from anyone having written 2 bad checks That person will be notified about the bad check and given 2 days to pay for the check, and returned check fee. If the check isn t picked up within 2 days a Certified Letter will be sent to that person. If the check isn t paid after the notification, a warrant will be issued against that person that wrote the check. Weekly Team fee s: 1. All Trophies only Division s 8 & 9-Ball: $30.00 per week per Team. 2. All Payback only Division s 8 & 9-Ball: $40 per week per Team. 3. All Masters Division s: $30 per week per Team. 4. All Scotch Doubles 8 & 9-Ball, & Jack & Jill Trophies only: $20 per pair of partners per week. There are NO individual Team Fee s in the league for weekly team fees. How your team divides up the amount for weekly team play is up to your team. $25 Annual National Membership to the American Pool Players ASN. Teams cannot play anyone that has not paid their national membership. No one can play in this League if they are not a current member. If your team play s a non-member your team will: 1. Forfeit 2 points per player in 8-Ball. 2. Forfeit 20 points per player in 9-Ball. 8- Ball: Penalties for late or incomplete weekly team fees or Late team scoresheets, are the following: We at the League Office do not want to penalize any team! 1. 8-Ball teams lose 1 point, after being late or not completely paying weekly fee s after the 2 nd week. 2. 8-Ball Late Score Sheets: Teams that are late 3 or more times during the session will lose their chance to pull for a wildcard. Plus after the 3 rd time late they will lose 1 point each time afterward. 3. Score Sheets that are not completely filled out, will result in a 1 point Penalty. (Please completely fill out your scoresheets, Innings, Win\Lose, Defensive Shots, Games won, Total points won, the financial Box at the bottom left, & Signature.) 4. Any team late over 3 weeks will lose their chance to pull for a wildcard for the Division Championships at the end of the session. 5. Any team owing any weekly team fees, or Session fees, will not participate in any post session play, INCLUDING, Division Championships, Cup Tournaments & Regional Tournaments. 6. Captains or Co-Captains will not participate in the Annual Captains Co- Captains tournament. 7. All past dues must be paid by the End of the Session Team Captains meeting. Or the Team will not be reinstated for the next session. 8. Any player that was on a team that owed past dues will not be completely reinstated in the league till they have paid their share of the past dues that, the team they participated on. That player will not be allowed to play on any Singles boards, or Captains Co-Captains tournaments, or Play in Division Championships, Cup Tournaments or Regional Tournament. 9. (Example: If your team owed a past due of $120, and did not pay the amount at the end of the session, and your team had 6 team members, the total amount will be divided by 6 and each member would owe $20 each.) 9- Ball: 1. 9-Ball teams lose 10 points, after being late or not completely paying weekly fee s after the 2 nd week 2. 9-Ball Late Score sheets: Teams that are late 3 or more times during the session will lose their chance to pull for a wildcard. Age Requirement & Age Policy: All League members must be 18 years or older to participate in the League. 1. Teams that play any one under the age of 18 will lose all points for the night. 2. Teams are to notify at all locations that serve alcohol, the Owner, Manager, Bartender s. Who on your team is not of legal drinking age. 3. All League members that are under the age of 21 will have an X by their name on the Team Roster. To designate that they are not of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. (Please make sure that a member that is not of legal drinking age has been designated on their Application. Just write at the top of the Application under 21.) 4. Teams that do not notify, and has an under aged member caught drinking alcohol, will be dropped from the League. No person on this team, will be reinstated to the league for no less than 1 year. 5. Any league member that is under 21 and caught drinking alcohol, will be suspended from the League till they reach the legal drinking age. Severe Weather Policy & Makeup match procedure: If there is bad weather, such as thunderstorms that knock out the electricity, snow storms, floods, and hurricanes. These are the following procedures that will be used. 1. Electricity outage: If your team is in a match and there is an Outage for over an hour. Both teams will reschedule the rest of the match. If your team mate is in the middle of a game and has not finished the game. Then that game will be restarted from the last game finished. Example: if you have finished the 2nd match and in the 3 rd match on the hill. That hill game will be where your teams will restart your match at. And will play all matches afterwards till the 5 th match has been completed. 2. We do not want any teams to get in adverse weather. If there is major Ice on the roads, floods or very high winds. We at the League Office WANT your teams to reschedule these matches. a. You will have 2 weeks from the date when the match was supposed to be played. b. Both teams must agree to the day that the match will be played. c. Teams must contact the League Office and notify the league office that the match has been rescheduled. d. If both teams cannot agree on a date to reschedule. The League Office will set a date, the match will be played. Teams will forfeit if the match is not played on the date the League Office has scheduled. Rescheduling a Match: It has always been the custom of our league that if a team calls 24 hours before the scheduled match, that the match will be rescheduled. a. Any time after the 24 hours, it will be up to the team that has been asked to reschedule either to take a forfeit or reschedule the match. b. 2 hours before the team match, will be a forfeit. Unless there is an accident on the way to the team match. Teams are to do the following: 1. Notify the League Office that your team wants to reschedule. 2. Notify the League Office that you have tried to contact the Team Captain and can t get in touch with anyone on the team. 3. If all avenues have been tried, the League Office will try to contact the Team Captain or members of the team. 4. When your team reschedules, the day will be up to the team that was asked to reschedule. It is not your choice of what day. 5. Starting time will be your regular League starting time.

Coaching Rules: 1. 1 minute Time outs. 2. 2 time outs per rack for 2 & 3 s in 8-Ball & 1 s,2 s & 3 s in 9-Ball 3. Skill level 4 s and above in 8 & 9-Ball, 1 time out each rack. 4. New League members get 2 time outs per rack, the 1 st night of league play. 5. During a ball in hand situation, the coach can touch & place the cue ball. If the coach fouls the cue ball, it is a ball in hand for the sitting player. 6. Only the coach may approach the table during a time out. No other person may approach the table. 1 st offense by the team: a warning 2 nd offense by the team: May result in Ball in hand & ball in hand for any offense afterwards. Only the shooting player & their coach may call a time out. 7. The shooting player can refuse a called time out by the coach and not be charged with a time out. 8. A coach can t refuse a time out called by the standing player. 9. Any team member may call a foul, but the foul must be addressed to the coach. 10. Any player that calls a foul that is not a foul & continues to do so will cause a ball in hand to be called against their team mate that is shooting. A. 2 nd offence will result in the offending team forfeiting that match. B. Anymore offenses will result in the team forfeiting all 8 points in 8-Ball, 60 points in 9 Ball. C. The player or players that have made the offence will be suspended from all League play for 1 month or more. Shot Clock: (For Slow Play) A shot clock can be called at any time by the shooting player, or Captain. Once a shot clock has been called, players have 20 seconds to get into the shooting position, 45 seconds on difficult shots. Players over 20 sec. will lose their shot and the incoming player will take the cue ball as it sits. No ball in hand! Time will be kept by both Team Score Keepers. Slow Play shouldn t be tolerated! Matching Players: Both teams have a total of 2 minutes to put up players. The team that puts up the 1 st player has 1 minute, and the matching team has 1 minute to have a player up to the table to play. The teams cannot pull players back if the team captain has officially stated a name of a player out loud. Only time players can be recalled is if that team is about to break the 23 rule. Then both Teams can recall the players they have put up. The 2 minutes will restart for matching up players. Scheduled Bye s: 1. 8-Ball 8 points 2. 9-Ball 60 points At times we can t fill a division so the scheduled byes do happen. The points above are what all teams receive for the bye. If the bye is filled by the 4 th week, all teams that received the bye will have a makeup match. Teams will receive what points they won during the makeup match s. New 3-Point System: Individual forfeit = 2 points BYE = 8 points Team forfeits = 8 points Individual PLAYOFF forfeit = 3 points Bye s & Forfeits: If a team doesn t show at the pointed starting time, plus 15 minutes, using real time, not bar time. That team forfeits the match. 8- Ball: 1. 8-Ball: 3 points for a team forfeit 2. 8-Ball teams if matches are played: will receive 1 point for each forfeit match as long as they meet the 23-Rule, & have a player there at the time of the forfeit. needs to be updated for 3-point system 3. 8-Ball Teams can play 3 senior players but must meet the 23-Rule playing 5 matches. (Senior players in 8-Ball are 6 s & 7 s.)

9- Ball: 1. 9-Ball: 60 points for a team forfeit 2. 9-Ball teams if matches are played: will receive 12 points for each forfeit as long as they can meet the 23-Rule and have a player present at the time of the forfeit. 3. 9-Ball teams that play more than 2 senior players will forfeit the match from when they played the 3 rd senior player 20-0. Unless they have broken the 23-Rule. Then they will forfeit all points, their opponent will receive 60 points or what points they have made, whichever is higher. (The 23-Rule consist of 5 matches played and the combined handicaps of the 5 members played) Sportsmanship: A. Good Sportsmanship is a must for all competitive sports. Please show courtesy to your opponents. I m sure they will show it back to you also. B. Sharking: Players that walkup to the table in line of the standing players shot, Breaking down cues (Breaking down a cue, means, attempting or completely breaking the cue stick apart not just nervous twisting of the shaft.),or talking to players as they start to shoot, will not be tolerated. A warning will be given the 1 st time, afterward, Ball in hand. Breaking down their cue in line of sight, of the standing player as he or she shoots the 8-Ball may result in loss of that game for the player that broke down his or her cue The standing player does not have to shoot the 8 Ball, & win s the game. In 9-Ball 2 points when shooting on the 9-Ball & the Break for the next rack, if the match hasn t been won. Verbal Abuse: Any member of the League that curses at another member or uses innuendos to harass an opponent will be suspended for a minimum of 8 weeks. Physical Abuse: Anyone hitting another league member will lose their membership in the Ga. S.C. Pool League. And not allowed back in for a minimum of 2 years, if not longer or permanent. Matches your team mates, must have, each and every session to qualify for Division Championships, Session Championship Tournament,& Regional Tournaments. Established League Members: are League members that have an established Handicap of 20 or more life time Matchs. A. Division Championships 8-Ball & 9-Ball: 1. Established players 6 matches 2. New League members 7 matches B. Cup Tournaments: 1. The same as Division Championships for established players 2. New League members, that just joined 8-Ball or 9-Ball Teams must have 9 matches from the previous session. C. Regional Team Championships: 1. All Team members that joined in the summer or Fall Sessions of the League year. Must have a handicap based on 20 Lifetime matches or more before they can play. 2. New League members that join a team during the Spring Session must have 10 matches played by the end of the Spring Session Division Championships or Low Tier qualifying. No matches after that will be counted for the Regional Tournament, even if that player has player several times during the following Summer Session. 3. Former League members that has not played on a team in the format that their team has qualified for the Regional tournament, and has 20 or more lifetime matches, must have 10 matches by the end of the Spring Session Division Championships or Low Tier Qualifier. D. All League members to keep their qualification for the Team Regional Tournament, Singles Regionals, must play a minimum of 4 matches each and every session after their team qualifies. E. Singles Boards: 8- Ball Singles Boards: 1. Former League members that has been inactive from the League for 2 or more years, but has 20 or more lifetime matches, must play 10 league matches, in what format they are currently playing in to be able to play on Singles Boards. 2. Active League members must play a minimum of 4 matches each session of the year to participate on a singles board. 3. New League members must have 10 matches before they can participate on a singles board.

9- Ball Singles Boards: 1. Former League members that has been inactive from the league for 2 or more years, but has 20 or more lifetime matches, must play 10 league matches, in what format they are currently playing in to be able to play on Singles Boards. 2. Active League members must play a minimum of 4 matches each session of the year to participate on a singles board. 3. New League members must have 10 matches before they can participate on a singles board. Qualifying for the Division Championships: 1. Top 4 teams will play in the Division Championships. 2. 5 th & 6 th place teams will play in the Low Tier qualifier. 3. 2 Wild Card Teams will be drawn from the rest of the Division to play in the Low Tier qualifier. Qualifying for the Session League Team Championship & Money Cup Tournaments: We have 2 League Team Championship Tournaments, 1 in after the Summer Session ($6,000) & 1 after the Fall Session ($3,000), For both 8-Ball & 9-Ball Teams. 1. Teams will use their Summer Rosters for the Summer tournament. That will be played in Sept 8-Ball, Oct. 9-Ball. 2. Teams will use their Fall Rosters for the Fall tournament. That will be played in Jan. 8-Ball, Feb. 9-Ball. 3. All Top 4 teams in Division Championships will qualify for this Tournament. 4. Divisions with 8 or more teams. The 1 st & 2 nd place Low Tier teams will qualify for the Session League Team Championship & Money Cup Tournament. 5. All teams that finish in the top 16 will qualify for the Regional Tournament for Vegas, if not qualified. 6. Teams that qualified for the Regional Tournament from the Division Championships must play in the Session League Team Championships. 7. Teams that do not show for this Tournament will lose their Slot for the Regional Tournament, if qualified. 8. All teams will pay a $40 entry fee before the Tournament. Qualifying for the Regional Tournament: (qualifying for the Vegas Tournament) Division Size Number of Slots 4 teams 1 Issued from the Division Championships (Division Champions only) 5 8 Teams 2 Issued from the Division Championships (Division Champions & 2 nd place) 9-11 Teams 3 Issued from the Division Championships (Division Champions, 2 nd & 3 rd place) 12-14 Teams 4 Top 4 teams in the Division Championships. 15 & 16 Teams 5 Top 4 teams in the Division Championships & Low Tier winner. Teams that qualified for the Regional Tournament: 1. Teams must stay active after the team qualifies. 2. Teams must be active during the Summer Session of the Regional Tournament. (which is the following fiscal year) 3. All Teams that are qualified for the Regional Tournament, must pay a $50 entry fee & pay a Deposit equal to 3 weeks, weekly fee s, on the 1 st week of the Summer Session. The deposit will be added to your weekly fees on the 13 th week of the Session. Teams that do not pay the Deposit will lose their Regional Tournament Slot. Deposits: $75.00 for Trophy Divisions. $120.00 for pay back Divisions. 4. Teams must play in all cup tournaments they qualify for or they lose their slot for the Regional Tournament. 5. Teams must keep 4 original players from the Session the Team qualifies for the Regional Tournament. 6. Teams that lose their 4 th original team mate at anytime during the year after their team qualifies will lose their Regional Slot. 7. Teams will be able to re-qualify if Regional Slots are lost. 8. The Spring session that starts in Jan. is the last session of the League year. 9. The Teams Spring roster will be the Roster that the team will play in the Regional Tournament with. 10. All League members to keep their qualification for the Team Regional Tournament, Singles Regionals, must play a minimum of 4 matches each and every session after their team qualifies.

Travel Assistance: When Teams has advanced, from The Regional Tournament, to represent our League at the, APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas. They will receive, travel assistance, to offset the cost and expense of the trip to the APA World Pool Championships. 1. There is a Championship Entry fee of $250 per team that will be taken off the top of all travel assistance. The entry fee will be paid at the World Pool Championships as last place + extra. 2. 8-Ball Teams: Will receive $750 per person that has paid for Airfare and 1 st night room at the World Pool Championships. Teams will receive up to $6,000 for 8 team members to advance for travel assistance. 3. 9-Ball Teams: Will receive, $650 per person that has paid for airfare & 1 st night room at the World Pool Championships. Teams will receive up to $5,200 for 8 Team members to advance for travel assistance. 4. Ladies 8-Ball Teams: The League will pay for all airfares and furnish 2 rooms for the Ladies team that advances to the Showdown Series. Team members that do not go will receive $0.00. 5. Jack & Jill, 8-Ball & 9-Ball Scotch Doubles Teams: Will receive airfare for both League members, & 1 room for the Showdown Series. 6. If a Team can t go to the World Pool Championships. Then the 2 nd place team from that slot will advance. The 1 st place team will receive no money. 7. All airfare s & rooms must be confirmed paid in full, before the Ga. S.C. APA will reimburse the team. 8. All entry fees for Ladies 8-Ball Teams, Jack & Jill, 8-Ball & 9-Ball Scotch Doubles, Masters Teams will be paid by the local League player s fund. 9. This is not prize money it is travel assistance only, if you are not attending the event, you will not receive money. Team Captains: 1. Team Captains are the person in charge of the team during League session matches, or tournaments that the team participates in. 2. Team Captains are the 1 st person listed on your team Roster, of your score sheet. 3. Co- Captains are listed 2 nd. Co-Captains take charge of the team when the Team Captain isn t available. 4. Team Captain & Co-Captains must have a Phone & Email Address. That is currently registered at the League Office. 5. No one can be a Team Captain that has had Sportsmanship issues, in the League. 6. Team Captains will be told to step down for the following reasons. a. Weekly Team fees are missing. b. Membership s fees are missing. c. Team Scoresheets and fee are constantly late. d. The team will be notified by the League Office and another Captain elected by the team. Team Captain s Responsibilities: 1. Making sure that your team is present and on time for your team matches. 2. Collecting all League weekly Fees, $25 National Memberships turn them in with your nights team scoresheet by 6 pm the following day. 3. Having all new members fill out an application. 4. Making sure that all your teammates have current addresses and phone numbers reported to the League Office. Or your team mates have joined online services and have their profile updated when changed. 5. Making sure your scoresheets are correctly and completely filled out. 6. Make sure your team knows the RULES! 7. Take charge of your team when bad sportsmanship is shown by your team or your opponent. 8. Make sure your team always acts in a sportsman like manner. 9. Make sure that all your team mates read all League materials, singles board notices, fliers,that are sent out in your weekly team envelope. If you do not know what, some of the literature is about, please contact your Division Rep or the League Office. We will make sure you understand the meaning of the content. 10. To report any intentional manipulation of the Handicap system to the League Office or your Division Rep. (If your team doesn t report such actions, then your team will be cheated as well as other teams in your division. We all want a fair League. I wish that no one cheated but they do. So please help your fellow League members and the league in general to make this League the best and most fun League in the country!)

Division Representatives: 1. Division Rep. s are League members that have been playing in the League for a long length of time and know the rules very well. They cannot make calls for you, but can give you advice on how to handle situations during the regular Session. 2. If Both Teams ask a Division Rep to make a call during the Regular Session. The Call is final! 3. Div. Rep. s Are Officials in all Local League, Cups, Singles Regionals, Team Regional or any other official tournaments. 4. Division Rep. s are appointed by the league Operator annually or when vacancies occur. 5. Division Rep. s, are members & Chairmen of the Handicap Review Committees. Refusal to Do Business: At any time, at the sole discretion of the League Operator, Georgia-South Carolina APA can refuse to do business with any individual regardless of whether the individual s APA membership is in good standing. Most often, players who are unwelcome in the League will be those who are disruptive to the League, repeatedly complain about handicaps or who otherwise deride the League in public. In every sport, good sportsmanship is required & expected. No less will be expected from you and your team. Read and know your rules! Handle disputes in a gentlemanly or ladylike manner! By using good common sense, and courtesy, you will find that the time you have spent playing in the APA League is well spent and enjoyable, for you and your team mates. As well as your opponents. Any questions should be directed through your Team Captain or your Division Rep. Management has the rights to amend these rules in the future for the betterment of the League.
