Description Figaro, a custom built Sabre 42 launched in 2004 remains the only Sabre constructed with an open floor plan below deck. As one enters the enclosed salon, from the open stern deck to starboard, one passes a TV/Music system, a cabinet w/wet bar, and a custom (2) person Stidd seat with Sunbrella fabric (2017). On port upon entering is a dining table for (4) plus removable back cushion for a 6-foot 4-inch berth. Further forward to port is a custom built single seat with storage, and two chart drawers beneath. Below decks on the port, you find a U-shape galley with supplemental freezer below cooktop, a convection/microwave above, and additional countertop with drawers. Dinette is found amidship to port and can be used as an extra berth or storage area if dining is done in the salon. Custom mattress makes this a comfortable extra double bed with a curtain to provide privacy. The master King size bed, with new mattress (2017) is found in very large-v berth surrounded by ample shelving. Just aft of bed on starboard is large vanity and shower room. The hard-chined V-bottom hull has a raked stem with anchor platform, spray strakes, propeller pockets, and a transom stern with stern platform. There are stainless steel capped vinyl rub rails and stainless steel bow rails extend aft to the cockpit. The deck layout is the conventional down east style express cruiser design. There are two chain locker hatches and an anchor windlass forward followed by an open foredeck and a low forward cabin trunk with six skylight hatches over the forward accommodations and three opening ports on each side. The raised wheelhouse follows and has large windows, an aft door, and two skylight hatches above. Side decks lead around the cabin and step down to the cockpit, which has three sole hatches for lazarette access, a transom door, and port and starboard forward seats. Accommodations The forwardmost compartment is a forepeak locker divided into three sections with two deck hatches, containing the ground tackle. Aft of this is a stateroom with a forward berth, a port bureau, and a starboard hanging locker followed by a sink and stall shower. Next aft is a port side convertible "L" shaped settee with table followed by a "U" shaped galley, and the head compartment is to starboard of the galley. Steps lead up to the wheelhouse where there is a starboard side helm station with double helm seat followed by a sink counter and entertainment center, and there is a port side pilot seat followed by an "L" shaped settee with table.
