YOUR 2019 TEAM NOVA SCOTIA!!! Team Brothers has come out on top as the team that will represent the host province! Skip Jill Brothers, third Erin Carmody, second Sarah Murphy, and lead Jennifer Brine come from the Mayflower Curling Club. This will be Jill s 4th Scotties appearance representing N.S., and she is also a Canadian Junior Women s champion and a World Junior silver medalist! This will be Erin Carmody s 2nd Heart appearance, her first being with team PEI in 2010. She made it all the way to the Scotties final losing to Jennifer Jones. This will be both Sarah and Jennifer s second Scotties appearance, the first being in 2016 with Jill! These ladies are not new to the competitive curling scene and will bring their experience with them to Sydney! Here is what you should have checked off your volunteer To-Do List: By now, you. ARE SCHEDULED FOR YOUR VOLUNTEER SHIFTS! Your director has finished your schedule and you have viewed your shifts using this link: https://volunteer.curling.ca/2019stoh/schedule If you are unable to work any of your shifts, you have notified your director. COLLECTED YOUR VOLUNTEER BAG! You have attended kit pick-up day, or made other arrangements to pick up your clothing! If you were unable to pick up your clothing you will be able to pick it up at the accreditation desk at Centre 200 prior to your first shift! 2019 STOH VOLUNTEER INFO SHEET THE FINAL DRAW SCHEDULE IS OUT!!! The field for the 2019 Scotties has been set and the final draw schedule has been published at our website: https://www.curling.ca/ 2019scotties/ People can now see when their favourite teams will be playing! Spread the word! WHEN ON SHIFT: When you are on shift we ask that you enter through the Players Entrance doors located at the back of Centre 200. When you are not on shift please enter through the front doors as the back doors are NOT open to the public The Volunteer Lounge at Centre 200 is located on Level 4. You can take the elevator or stairs up one level from the main concourse and then follow the signs. Always have your accreditation on your person when on shift. You will also need it to enter the venue to watch curling if you are off-shift Please wear or bring a pair of clean shoes when on shift. It is very important to keep that area clean, especially for those of you working by or on the ice surface LIVE IT LIVE A friendly reminder that your accreditation badge gets you into the arena for free! When you are not on shift make sure you catch a game. Those who have purchased tickets have reserved seating but if there is an empty seat feel free to sit! 4
