I m so happy to be going back home where my family lives, but sad to leave all my friends; quite a few of which have turned into my extended family. This has been my home for almost 21 years. I will not, nor could I, forget my life here with Chuck or all my friends. I will have so many good memories to bring with me but it is time to go home to my family. There are many people to thank, like Roy & Lynn, Len & Judy, Ned & Ava, The Reis Family, Kerry, all the Archery guys, all the Cowboys, the Trap people, the Rifle people, the Pistol Guys, the Hill Family, the McElfresh Family, Tony & Carmen, Bud & Pearl, Mike & Sandy, Kearney, Norm C, Norm Mays & Phil, all the Board Members that I ve served with and Officers of the Club, the Schmidt Family & Jared, Dape & Bear, the list could go on and on! I just want to say thanks to all of you. I had a beautiful Retirement Party. It really touched me deeply. So again, thanks for making me feel special. My new address is on the bulletin board so I hope to hear from you time to time. I will keep in touch. With that I don t like goodbyes so I will just say So Long! and hope to hear from you again. Thanks for so many great years here! ~Angie Munroe, Clubhouse Director From January 11 through the 13th, we held The Freezarse Rendezvous and it was an enormous success! We had almost 100 participants shooting Ned's interesting (some said diabolical) targets. There is no doubt that Manteca has put itself on the map as one of the best shooters' rendezvous in the FREEZARSE RENDESVOUS BLACK POWDER area! Everyone had a great time. The weather was nice. There were five traders to shop. And, we enjoyed Angie's sausages, soda, and free coffee for all. Thanks to Joe Kroeze, Ned's sister Margaret and husband Laurie, John Nelson, and the Watts Family for helping put it all together. Ned and Ava Nelson

Two Rivers Posse Down By The River December 23, 2007 Shenandoah Durham Ferry Thirty five hardy cowpokes gathered at the river on a beautiful but chilly day to have a little fun and competition with their shootin irons. As is often the case, Lefty Vaquero and Wobblin Bob went at it tooth and nail with Lefty prevailing by just over two seconds. That is 0.373 seconds per stage or 0.01379 seconds per shot. He would have done a little better without those seven misses. Nate Clayton was third, just over a second behind and was the top Traditional followed by the top 49er, JW Trader, the top Frontier Cartridge Duelist, Lefty Eastman and the top Silver Senior, Dirty Pete. Lefty V. sizzled stages two, five and six. Bob burned stage three, Nate Clayton edged stage one and Lefty Eastman was the only shootist to break thirty seconds on stage four. Two guys cleaned the match. There was no mule, just Ol Rivers and me. B- Western gleefully took the B-Western category narrowly beating out the Diamond Back Kid who shot, probably the most consistent match of his life for five stages. However on stage three, his train not only came off the track but fell over on its side and burned. He did look good though. It was good to see Rev. Barry M Deep back with after many months following surgery on his wing and to see what is left of Papa Bear - down about fifty pounds. That s how it was Down By The River. Two Rivers Posse Down By The River January 5, 2008 Shenandoah Durham Ferry It was a dark and dreary day at Durham Ferry but fifteen loyal shooters joined the posse for another day of shootin fun. That dreaded Dualist Dragon, with only one dropped shot, dominated his category for the second successive match. Dastardly Dirty Pete with his sneaky quick style did likewise in the Silver Senior ranks. Wobblin Bob, the junior in the Senior ranks, took the top spot overall. Rum Walker, who has become a pretty slick shootist, was the ONLY shooter to score a clean match and Molly Magoo was the top lady. There were seven categories represented in the top ten. Mudville was the quickest of the 49ers, the Diamond Back Kid beat his very capable competition and Tejano topped the Traditional shooters. Our prescient match director wisely stopped the show after five stages and our equipment was barely secured before the rains came and we skedaddled for home. That s how it was Down By The River.
