THE SILVER SIGNAL Next Club Meeting April 27th 2012 7:30 p.m. Lone Star Club Executive Officers Robert Jordan bobby.jordan@tx.rr.com President Dave Totzke totzke4@hotmail.com Vice-President Ellen Jackson ellen_jackson@sil.org Secretary Ronnie Morris. rmorris@remcosales.com Treasure http://www.lonestartreasure.com/index.shtml President s Chatter.By Robert Jordan Hello to all. Hope you have been well. I am not aware of any members in the way of the wave of bad weather; we just got lots of rain, although it affected work. I am so happy that Robert Jeffrey is taking good care of the Newsletter and the Website. We are truly lucky to have his computer knowledge available to help our Club. I enjoyed our own Peter Krell s presentation on water hunting. He did a wonderful job of giving honest information, all that glitters isn t gold. For those interested in water hunting we should aim for a club water hunt after a big Holiday weekend. Speaking of Club Hunts, Paul Wilson has worked up another Club Relic Hunt down near Goldwaith. Our Spring Hunt 2012 is planned for May 12 th. It will take place at Samuel Farm Park in Mesquite and start at 10:00am. You must be a current member with dues paid to participate. We are asking you to pay the Hunt Fee of $25 at the next meeting. We had more visitors join the Club at the last meeting. What a wonderful trend. I wish to remind all to: respect private property, cover your holes, and carry off your trash. Remember; leave those deep silver signals for me. See you on Friday April 27 th.
Don t miss the April meeting We have a GREAT Speaker Ms Rosmary Rumbley Humorist, teacher, actress, historian, journalist, author and self proclaimed secret agent of Homeland Security (O.K., I made that last one up) Rosemary Rumbley will be our guest speaker for April. If you have never had a chance to hear Rosemary speak, don t miss the April meeting. She is genuinely funny and knowledgeable about Dallas in a way few are. The April meeting will be held on the 27th at 7:30 pm. She is going to tell us about John Wilkes Booth.

The club did not do particularly well on the raffle. Lone Star members did very well as winners of the different raffles. Paul Wilson called Vickie Bryant to discuss a hunt on the old Casino property. Due to intervening circumstances the meeting hasn t happened yet.
