Cuneen failed to arrive on course on time stewards permitted L. Dittman to be substituted as the rider of DRAGONS ESPRIT. Stewards accepted jockey Cuneen s explanation. Stewards considered an objection lodged by L. Cassidy the rider of GLYCINE MAX which finished fourth against WHOOSH (L. Rolls) being declared third on the grounds of alleged interference passing the 300m. After taking evidence from jockeys L. Cassidy and L. Rolls, trainer M. Eggleston and trainer A. Usher s representative stewards were satisfied that GLYCINE MAX had established clear running to the inside of WHOOSH and when leaving the 300m was forced inwards after being bumped by WHOOSH, this resulted in GLYCINE MAX having to be checked from the heels of DRAGONS ESPRIT, which was weakening.

Stewards were also satisfied that the interference suffered was sufficient to warrant a reversal of the ½ length margin and as such upheld the objection and declared correct weight on the numbers:- 1st CONQUERS ALL 2nd ON A HIGH 3rd GLYCINE MAX 4th WHOOSH At a subsequent inquiry stewards were satisfied that after initially shifting in jockey L. Rolls attempted to straighten his mount out and took no further action. OUR MOMENTO Hung out from leaving the 600m until entering the home straight. COUNT CUMANI Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination confirmed that the mare was making an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer M. Ms Leitch advised that the mare would now be retired from racing in light of today s performance. MIABLA Slow to begin. TECHNO SAVVY Raced 3 wide with no cover whilst pressing forward to a position outside the lead passing the 700m. ROCK ON DESTINY - Laid out under pressure near the 100m and was at a disadvantage shortly afterwards when jockey R. McMahon lost the use of his near side rein. MY COUSIN MELANIE Trainer T. Edmonds advised the horse would be ridden more forward today if circumstance permit. The horse was ridden accordingly and settled outside the leader. When asked to comment on the performance jockey J. Lloyd indicated that the horse travelled strongly until leaving the 600m and was then under pressure and weakened badly in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the colt had lost a near fore plate, which revealed some hoof damage, which may have had an affect on its performance. Mr Edmonds advised that he would now consider sending the horse for a spell. FASHION SAGA Slow to begin. CONGELATOR Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn. FAVULOUS FLOYD Jockey A. Spinks reported that it was his intention to take up a forward position however, the gelding failed to show the necessary speed and therefore he elected to obtain a position midfield with cover. Jockey Spinks added that in his opinion the gelding raced flat and may have come to the end of its current preparation. Jockey Spinks further added that the stable had indicated that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. Race 7: Skyline Restaurant Class 3 H Cap 1200m T. Edmonds the trainer of FABVIER was reprimanded for failing to scratch a dual acceptor for a metropolitan meeting by the prescribed time. SKY HEART Slow to begin. TYCOON TYKE Slow to begin. SKY HEART - When asked to comment on the performance jockey L. Dittman indicated that the gelding settled in the second half of the field as were his instructions however, when asked to improve into the race his mount laid out from the 600m and was disappointing in the straight. Jockey Dittman added that whilst the track surface may not have suited the gelding and it has performed over longer distances and he had expected a more forward showing. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. TURKANA Jockey L. Tarrant reported his mount laid in for the majority of the event. Stewards questioned jockey L. Tarrant and trainer K. Jones regarding the tactics adopted as the gelding settled outside the lead in today s event, which is in contrast to its most recent racing pattern. Jockey Tarrant indicated that after the horse s most recent start he was of the view that the horse would appreciate being ridden in a more forward position and therefore rode his mount with vigour in the early stages. Mr Jones indicated that there were no specific instructions issued other than to have the horse travel comfortably. Stewards reminded Mr Jones of his obligations under AR134A and took no further action. Race 8: Sky Racing Class 4 H Cap 1400m Stewards accepted trainer W. Nugent s explanation for the late notification of J. Orman as the rider of PRECIPITATE. WHO S YOUR DADDY Stood flatfooted as the start was effected and lost ground. BIANTIC Slow to begin. MORE PATASI Obliged to race in restricted room near the 1300m and had to be steadied and then raced 3 wide before weakening in the home straight. App T. Brooker stated that after attempting to have the horse settle in the early stages the gelding commenced to hang and did so for the remainder of the event placing her at a disadvantage and was eased out of the event in the home straight. Trainer K. Schweida was at a loss to explain the performance other than to add that the horse may have resented the tongue control bit. PRECIPITATE Overraced approaching the first turn. LYRICIST Overraced approaching the first turn. ROLLING ROMAN After passing the 500m shifted out to improve and made heavy contact with another runner and as a result became awkward. LOTHARIO Shifted wider rounding the home turn. Jockey J. Byrne reported that the gelding s best performances have been on firmer racing surfaces. Jockey Byrne felt that the

performance could be attributed to today s Soft 6 track rating. BOURBON ROAD Jockey R. Fradd reported to stewards that he had recommended to connections that the blinkers be removed from the horse s gear as it overraced in today s event.
