December 25, 2015 EDITION Upcoming Events December 27th Destiny Region OV Tacoma, WA January 7th MEL OV Black Diamond, WA January 9th Shoreline Instalation Shoreline, WA Grand Master's Class 2015 RECAP Can you hear the Masonic Pride roaring? The annual initiation held for the Grand Master of Masons in Washington was hosted with all three Masonic Youth groups this year at Auburn Mountainview High School on October 17th, 2015. Washington DeMolay, Washington Job's Daughters, and Washington/Idaho Rainbow for Girls initiated 18 candidates in honor of our Grand Master, MW Don Munks, and now our Masonic Family is even bigger! The day was full of initiations in slick suits and fancy dresses, movies with Minions and Mufasa, a delectable dinner of Pumba's Potatoes and Simba Soup, and a lion leapin' dance that made everyone's paws sore! Grand Master's Class brought us one step closer to making membership for the Masonic Youth no worries for the rest of our days. #DeMolayLife January 15th Puyallup OV Puyallup, WA January 16th Bellevue Chapter Spaghetti Feed Bellevue, WA January 16th Olympia Chapter Installation Olympia, WA January 20th Port Angeles OV

Little OV Bothell, WA Investiture Day/ Masonic Youth Hockey Night 2015 RECAP Investiture Day / Masonic Youth Hockey Night was a blast for everyone who was in a endance! The amount of support for those who were honored at Investiture Day was astronomical. It was fi ing their was such great support for those members and Advisors who have given so much of their own time and skills into making a difference for our Order for the better. The memorial service that was performed in honor of Brother Austin Mckee, who had passed away too soon. It was touching salute to a true brother. Hockey Night was a great time to have fun with brothers and sisters and watch some hockey. Though there weren't many fights, it was still a great game and a great time! Check out the State Events Calendar for more details and all the fun events happening! See it here!! CORPS OFFICE HOURS Andrew J. BRO CODE #5 Use "we" instead of "me" #523 Enthusiasm is a way of life, not an emotion. Leaders' Ball 2016 Haven't been able to dance the night away? Missed your school's prom? Need to show off those dance moves you have been working on when no one is looking? Is "Watch me Whip" your twitter handle? We have just the event for you! Your favorite dance of the year is returning on February 13th from 8pm to 11pm. This year, we wanted this event to feel just like prom, so we booked the Tropical Bu erfly House at the Pacific Science Center! Yummy treats,a beautiful location, and all your friends together from around the state equates to a night you'll never forget! A full length "Need to Know Packet" will be published before January 10th! Remember that registration will be due on FEBRUARY 3RD. Don't be the person who wasn't there. Come alone or bring a date in a horse and carriage. With questions on the event and advice on how to snag a date, contact: SMC Andrew J. Everett 253-720-0791.

2016 Ritual Competitions Moved from Convention, State Ritual Competitions will be held o n February 13th in Sea le, WA from 8am-5pm! Packets with registration information and costs will be coming out from Dad William Hart before January 10th. So start memorizing and don't be the only person coming home from Convention 2016 (where the ritual awards will be handed out) without a shiny award! Join us for Washington DeMolay's first stand alone State-Wide Ritual Competition and make history. You'll only need the bear necessities: a suit, relevant paraphernalia, a full mind, and yourself! Make everyone in Washington DeMolay wanna be like you! Please contact Dad William Hart at 360-461-5425 for ritual competition questions. With questions on event logistics and for more Jungle Book references, contact: SMC Andrew J. Everett 253-720-0791.

THE SMC'S WONDERFUL WORDS Wow! 2015 has gone by super quick! Just to think that 11 short months ago we were buzzing about American Sniper and Taken 3 starring the incomparable Liam Neeson (Key and Peele reference). As we stay cozy during this stormy season, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Holidays! It has been an amazing year to be a DeMolay and now when you have sometime eating that "last" cookie, think back on all the accomplishments you have personally made. Not just that, I encourage you to look at your failures, and make them into lessons learned in 2016. Let's make 2016 the year we work that much harder to bring in that one friend from school, sell one more ticket for your Chapter fundraiser, help at one more Masonic meeting when your lodge is in a bind, and become closer with each other in the organization we all love and adore alike. Holiday Happiness and Disney Devotion, Andrew J. Everett State Master Councilor

DEMOLAY OF THE PUBLICATION BRO. Jake Kaspar Brother Jake has been an outstanding DeMolay in his time as a member of this order. He has shown that he is motivated, eager to help, and willing to take on challenges and responsibilities. At Bellevue Chapter he was elected as Junior Councilor and he is already helping his Chapter grow. In his time in the South he has also shown his leadership by helping his other councilors to create successful events. Congratulations to Brother Jake Kaspar, this issue's, DeMolay of the Publication.
