The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). Spectator area is above the pool deck. The water depth when measured for a distance of the competitive pool is based on the following: The water depth when measured for a distance of 3 feet by 3 ½ inches (1.0 meter) to 16 feet 5 inches (5.0 meters) at the start end is 14 feet and the water depth when measured for a distance of 3 feet 3 ½ inches (1.0 meter) to 16 feet 5 inches (5.0 meters) from the turn wall is 4 feet. FORMAT: Open session on Friday. 12 & U and Open sessions on Saturday. Open session on Sunday morning only. With the exception of championship and open water meets, the program in all other age group competition shall be planned to allow the events for swimmers twelve (12) years and younger to be completed in four (4) hours or less for a timed finals session or in a total of eight (8) hours or less per day for a preliminaries and finals meet. USA-S Rule 205.3.1F. SCHEDULE: Friday Evening Warm-up: 5:00 pm 5:45 pm Timed Finals: 6:00 pm Sat Morning Warm-up: 8:30 am 9:00 am Timed Finals: 9:15 am Sat Afternoon Warm-up: 11:30 am 12:45 pm Timed Finals: 1:00 pm Sun Morning Warm-up: 8:30 am 9:45 am Timed Finals: 10:00 am WARM-UPS: Oklahoma Swimming warm-up procedures will be enforced. There will be split warm-up sessions for the Saturday and Sunday Senior sessions with team lane assignments for all warm-up sessions. Teams will be notified of their warm-up times. Warm-up schedules will also be posted throughout the venue and in the meet program. *Please note that the first afternoon warm-up session will start at the end of morning session but not earlier than 11:30 am. All swimmers must be under the direct supervision of a USA Swimming registered coach. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Any swimmer in attendance without a coach present: USA Swimming athlete members must be under the direct supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm up, competition and warm down. The Meet Director or The Meet Referee shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision. WARM-UP GUIDELINES: PRE- MEET and GENERAL WARM UP SESSIONS Control/Supervise: Key words for safe warm-ups. A designated supervisor shall be on deck during the entire warm-up period. Marshalls should be actively supervising the warm-ups to ensure proper procedures are followed. Swimmers shall enter the water feet first except for starts which are limited to specified lanes. General warm-up periods with assigned lanes for each team shall remain under the control of the assigned team s coaches at all times. No paddles buoys or kick boards are allowed. No diving in lanes other than those designated for racing starts in an unassigned warm up session. Starting blocks should be marked to remind swimmers that they should not dive in lanes other than the designated lanes. The Meet Announcer may announce lane changes and /or warm- up changes as per general and specific. Coaches should understand that responsibility for supervision of their swimmers is the same at meets as when on deck at practice.
Marshalls have the authority through the Meet Director over warm-up. A swimmer and/or coach may be removed from the deck for interfering with the Marshall. The Meet Referee shall have the responsibility to establish and enforce rules for safe conduct within the competitive pool area during the duration of the swimming competition. There shall be at least one Marshall at each end of the warm up area to ensure the warm- up procedures will be followed. Warm-up procedures shall be enforced for any breaks scheduled during the competition For warm-up guidelines at meets with sessions that have UN-Assigned Lanes please refer to the OKS Warm-Up Guideline Document. ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION: This meet is open to all registered USA-S swimmers. Age as of January 5, 2018 will determine eligibility for age group. No swimmer will be permitted to compete unless the swimmer is a member as provided in Article 302. USA-S registration will not be allowed at the meet. A recon report will be obtained by the meet director from the OKS Registration Chair approximately one week prior to the meet. The Meet Director will notify coaches and/or team representatives of any athlete registration errors reported. ALL registration errors MUST be reconciled before the first session in which the athlete is scheduled to race or he/she WILL NOT be allowed to swim. The Meet Referee and Meet Director will work together with the Registration Chair to ensure that all swimmers are properly registered prior to the start of the meet. DISABILITIES: SwimTulsa welcomes athletes with disabilities. Please alert the Meet Director to any accommodations that may be required at the entry deadline. ENTRY FEES: $5.00 for each Individual event and Time Trial ($2.00 goes to the OKS Aquatic Fund) $10.00 for each relay ($2.00 goes to the OKS Aquatic Fund) $12.00 surcharge for each swimmer ENTERING EVENTS: SD3 or CL2, or hyv format files that are compatible with Hy-Tek Meet Manager are preferred and should be emailed. Handwritten or printed entries must indicate swimmer's name, sex, age, USAS number, event numbers, and entry times. Please designate if times are yards or sc meters. All yard entry times will be converted to sc meters. No- Times will be accepted only if the swimmer has not previously swum the stroke/distance, regardless of the age-group. A signed summary page indicating that the swimmers are current USAS members is required. If entries are emailed, a check must be received before team participates. The meet will be limited to the first 350 swimmers who enter. No team will be split. Melanie Mink (214) 364-5219 5010 E 108 th St Tulsa, OK 74137 ENTRY LIMIT: A swimmer may enter a maximum of three individual events (3) Friday and four individual events (4) Saturday and Sunday with a maximum of eleven (11) IE s for the meet and one relay each day for a total of thirteen (13) events for the meet. DECK ENTRIES: Deck entries will be accepted at the computer desk up to 30 minutes before the session begins. Deck entry fees will be $10.00 ($2.00 goes to OKS Aquatic Fund) for individual and $20.00 ($2.00 goes to OKS Aquatic Fund) for relay events. No new heats will be created for pre-seeded events. Deck entries will swim in the order in which they are submitted. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT A DECK ENTRY WILL BE PERMITTED TO SWIM AN EVENT AND THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES. A swimmer who scratches one event and enters another to replace it will be charged for a deck entry.
SEEDING AND CHECK-IN: All events except for the 400 IM, 400 Free and the 800 Free will be pre-seeded. There will be positive check-in for the 400 IM, 400 Free and 800 Free. The 400 IM, 400 Free and 800 Free will be seeded following the closing of the check-in period. All check-ins will close 30 minutes before the session begins. AWARDS: Ribbons will be given in the 12 & Under session to the first eight places in each individual event, male and female, as follows: 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12. 12 & Under swimmers swimming in Senior events will not be eligible for ribbons. RULES: Current USA-S Rules, supplemented by Oklahoma Swimming, Inc. Rules, will govern the meet. TIME TRAILS: Time trials are offered for swimmers entered in the meet. FINAL RESULTS: One copy of results will be e-mailed to each team entered within 24 hours after the conclusion of the meet. Meet information, warm-up schedules and complete set of results files can be found on www.swimtulsa.org or www.oks.org. Final results will be sent to each Club Coach, Entry Chair or athlete attached or unattached swimming without a coach present. Results will also be available on Meet Mobile. MEET PROGRAM: Will be available for $5.00 each at the concession area.. DECK ACCESS: Coaches and officials must wear their current USA Swimming registration cards or provide Deck Pass confirmation of current certification in order to receive deck privileges. Access to the pool/deck area will be limited to athletes, coaches, officials, timers and OKS representatives working the meet. Parents and other non-swimmers not involved in the running of this meet are requested to remain in designated spectator areas. USA-Swimming non athlete registration membership does not grant parents access to the pool deck at any time. DECK CHANGING: Deck changes are prohibited. SAFETY: Activities in the pool areas that may result in injury are prohibited. Event Marshals will be appointed to monitor the activities of swimmers and spectators during warm-ups and the meet, and are empowered by the safety rules of OKS to enforce safety procedures. Repeated violations or activities that are considered to be sufficiently dangerous may result in ejection from the meet. Access to the pool/deck area will be limited as previously described. Swimmers failing to comply with the above safety rules are subject to disqualification and/or expulsion from the meet at the discretion of the Meet Referee. LIABILITY: In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA -Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. It is further understood that Oklahoma Swimming, all Officials, SwimTulsa Club, Union 6th and 7th Grade Center Pool shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduction of the meet. Damage to the facility, when proven, will cause the offending swimmer or swimmers, if unattached, or the offending swimmer's club if attached to be accountable for repairs. DRONE USE: Operation of a drone or any other flying apparatus is prohibited over the venue (pool, athletes/coach areas, spectator area and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. HOSPITALITY: There will be a hospitality area available for coaches and officials working the meet. CONCESSIONS/MERCHANDISE: Full concessions and merchandise will be available at the meet.
