attendance there. Can t change add additional fees so Sigma cannot pay the fine for those who do not attend. [Makovsky]: Already has a sister that is going to be interviewed for a Leadership Consultant position at Nationals. [Ledding]: Doesn t think that Alpha Chi Omega will have a problem hitting the 90%, but if it will help other chapters to lower the attendance, will agree to it. [Herrmann]: Moves to vote on lowering the Phired Up attendance to 75% of the chapter. [Makovsky]: Seconds the motion. Paper vote. Majority vote passes 3-1-0 Will be lowering the required attendance for chapters to 75%. For clarification: The fine is not there for punishment it is there to ensure that chapters can get the majority of their chapter there at this event since PHC is funding for this. [Herrmann]: How does the fine that PHC is going to enforce going to work? [Marinda]: When we first talked about bringing Phired Up to campus. There were some calculations done and I found that it was going to cost chapters about $9.25 per chapter member. So PHC has decided to fine each chapter the difference. For example, if your chapter has hit total, with the 90% your chapter would need 45 members in attendance at the general session. If your chapter only has 42 members in attendance, you would be fined $9.25 for those 3 members you are missing. It s up to the chapter s decision as to how they are making the fine for their chapter. If chapters have any questions about the fine or how chapters can go about this please feel free to ask Marinda. [Herrmann]: Moves to close the floor for discussion. [Makovsky]: Seconds the motion.
