PARTICIPATION FEE All participants in the Prospects Showcase will be charged a $160 fee to cover the cost of staging this event. It is important that everyone understands that we have little sponsorship money available to support this event. It costs approximately $15,000 to stage the awards banquet alone. You are encouraged to get a sponsor to help pay your fee. We have included a letter that you can give to potential sponsors. If you cannot get a sponsor then you must pay the fee.

For the $160 fee the athlete will receive the following: 1) Participation in Game. 2) Game shirt with crest and number. 3) Two tickets to the game for parents/friends. 4) One ticket to awards banquet for player. 5) Team picture. 6) A souvenir item commemorating participation in the game. 7) Sack pack 8) 3 on 3 Tournament 5. Registration is from 5-6 with the banquet starting at 6 pm. You will also have your picture taken for your ID badge. 9. Everything on Saturday, is on the SAIT Campus. 10. EVENTS LOCATION The banquet will take place at the Calgary Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre, 1316 33 St. NE. All games and practices are at SAIT. GAME AWARDS A three-point contest will be held at half-time at each of the PROSPECTS games. The winner will be presented with a trophy. Immediately following each game, an MVP award will be presented to a player from each team. 13. GAME VIDEO We will be professionally filming all games. All games will available on line after the event. More details on this TBA. We also plan to live stream the games again this year. 14. TEAM PICTURES Team pictures will be taken 15 minutes prior to your game. Each player will receive a team picture. Your picture will be e-mailed to you the week after the event. 15. SKILLS/CONDITIONING It is extremely important for you to be working on your skills and conditioning. We want to showcase your skills and see you play at your best. There will be a number of college and university coaches in attendance, so it is important that players are in their best condition. It is in your best interest to be in the best shape possible. 16. PRACTICE Please make sure that you have proper practice gear for your practice. Please be on time as practice time is limited.

17. 3 on 3 TOURNAMENT Nine years ago we added a 3 on 3 tournament to add some excitement to the event and we will continue to run this year. All participants will be placed on a 3 on 3 team and compete for their division championship. It is expected that all participants will play in the 3 on 3 event. Awards will be presented to the division champions. Please bring a reversible jersey or a light and dark t-shirt for your 3 on 3 tournament. 18. JERSEYS TUCKED IN!! During the game, all players are asked to keep their jerseys tucked in. We want this to be a first-class event and do not want you to look sloppy. We ask for your co-operation with this. 19. ATHLETIC TRAINER An athletic trainer will be available at practices and the game. The trainer will be available prior to the game and practices to tape the athletes. Please be early if you need to be taped. Ice will be available at the game and practice sites. 20. SAIT FACILITY Thanks to the SAIT athletic department for their support of this event. We appreciate the use of their excellent facility. They have one of the outstanding facilities in the province. 21. SOUVENIR ITEMS A number of souvenir items will be on sale at the banquet on Friday and at SAIT on Saturday. We usually sell out of most items. There will be a number of souvenir items available. 22. INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY In case of inclement weather, we are not able to give refunds. If a player is unable to travel to the event we will send her the award and souvenir items that the other players received. Regardless of weather, our event will not be cancelled. 23. REFUND POLICY Our refund policy is that we will give refunds up until two weeks prior to the event, if we can replace the player. Refunds will not be given if a player pulls out in the two weeks leading up to the event. In case of a late sickness or injury the player may still participate in the event or we will send them their awards and souvenir items.

24. COLLEGE EXPOSURE One of the benefits of playing in the game is the exposure from Alberta college/ university coaches. It is expected that most of the five Alberta University coaches and college coaches will be attending the games. In the past we have had numerous western schools and U.S. schools attend games. 25. PLAYING TIME All participants will receive equal playing time. Games are four twelveminute quarters to maximize playing time, unless there are ten players or less on each team We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you are able to participate on our event. Sincerely, Brian Utley Alberta Shooting Stars ALBERTA SHOOTING STARS SHOWCASE PROSPECTS ALL-STAR GAME INFORMATION PACKAGE March 22-23, 2019
