LAST TIME OUT Adrian Sampson picked up his fourth straight win, pitching six innings and striking out four, and the Tribe s offense pounded out 14 hits to beat the Mud Hens 10-5 at Victory Field. THE INDIANS... Own the best record in the International League with a 1.5-game lead of Charlotte... Have won a season hightying four straight games, are 7-1 in the last eight and have gone 24-12 since the beginning of their first fourgame streak on April 22... Are 17-9 in May with the best record in Triple-A baseball this month... Were 28-20 after 48 games last season (29-20 after 49). VERLANDER SET FOR TRIPLE-A DEBUT Former MVP and Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander is scheduled for a rehab start with the Toledo Mud Hens on Sunday at Victory Field... The right-hander was named the AL Rookie of the Year in 2006, and in 2011 became just the second Major League player to also win both a Cy Young and MVP... He has pitched in just 20 career MiLB games and never at the Triple-A level. SERIESLY SPEAKING The Indians and Mud Hens meet for the eighth of 23 matchups of the 2015 season... Indy has won two of three at home this season and nearly doubled up on the Mud Hens at Victory Field with a 99-58 advantage in the all-time series; With a win today, Indianapolis will claim 100 home victories against an opponent for the first time since moving to Victory Field in 1996... The next-closest opponent to the century-win mark is Columbus at 82. HEN IN THE HAND-SON IS WORTH... Alen Hanson has multi-hit efforts in four of his six career games against the Mud Hens... He leads the team with seven runs scored, is tied for the lead with nine hits and ranks third among qualified Indy batters with a.333 average against Toledo this year. A CLEVER HEADLINE ABOUT STREAKING During their current four-game winning streak, the Indians have batted.333 (46x138) with 10 extra-base hits and 30 runs scored... The bullpen has also posted a 1.42 ERA (2er/12.2ip) with two saves in two chances. MY-OH MAYO The Tribe s top record in all of Triple-A during the current month is also good for a share of the seventh-best record in the Minors during May...
