ANNOUNCEMENT: The ALICE SPRINGS MOTOR CYCLE CLUB INC., hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct the 2017 Northern Territory Natural Terrain Motocross and Motocross Titles for Junior and Senior Classes at the Ilparpa Race Complex, Butler Road, Alice Springs, on Saturday 15th July and Sunday the 16th of July 2017. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1. The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory which has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number 2017-77 and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia National Licences. 2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR s), these Supplementary Regulations, and any final instructions approved by Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory. BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1. Entries open forthwith and close last mail 7 July 2017 3.2. In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Alice Springs Motorcycle Club, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory. 3.3. Only entries received on the official entry form that is accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. 3.4 Rider s ages are determined by age at 1/1/2017. 3.5. NOTE:- LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE ALICE SPRINGS MOTOR CYCLE CLUB. 4. INSURANCE: 4.1. National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. 4.2. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees. 4.3. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE. 5. MEDICAL SERVICES: Volunteers from St Johns Ambulance will be in attendance with an ambulance prior to practice commencing. 6. ENTRY FEE: 6.1. Demonstration Class $10.00 all other junior and senior classes. Natural Terrain Motocross $50.00 and motocross $80.00 and $20.00 for extra Classes 6.2. Payment by Money Order of Cheque only. ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED CHEQUES WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT. 6.3. Cheques and Money Orders are to be made payable to the Alice Springs Motorcycle Club. 6.4. Entry to the Track will incur a gold coin donation. 7. ENTRY PASSES: Not applicable.

8. CLASSES OF COMPETITION: 50cc Demonstration class only, 4- to under 9 years 50cc Auto 7 to under 9 years, 65cc 7 to under 12years, 85cc 2 stroke & 150cc 4 stroke (standard wheel only), 85cc & 150cc 4 stroke (standard or big wheels) 9 to under 16 years, 125cc 2 stroke & 250cc 4 stroke 13 U 16 years, Pro-Lites 125-200cc 2 stroke - 0-250cc 4Stroke, Pro-Open 255cc & above 2 stroke up to 450cc 4 Stroke, Masters 35 yrs & over, all powers, Clubman all powers 9. AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY: Trophies awarded for first three positions. Trophies to be presented on Sunday 16 th July at the Alice Springs Motorcycle Club starting at 7.00 pm. Points will be awarded in line with 2017 GCR s. 10. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: 10.1. To constitute a class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each class shall be a minimum of 4 competitors. 10.2. Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards and / or prize money, will be at the discretion of the Alice Springs Motorcycle Club, subject to Motorcycling Australia Northern Territory approval. 11. RACE FORMAT: There will be three rounds of racing. If there are more than 28 riders in a class heats will be run and a final will decide the outcome. 12. MACHINES AND RIDERS: 12.1. All machines entered must comply with the current 2017 GCRs for Motocross competition. 12.2. Multiple entry of the one machine in the same class of competition is not permitted. 12.3. Machines may be changed between events provided they have been scrutineered at Scrutineering, and the change is approved by the Clerk of the Course. Such notification must be given verbally 15 minutes prior to the competitor s next race commencing. No change of machinery or refuelling is permitted during any event. 12.4 All machines must clearly display the rider s allocated number. 13. RIDING NUMBERS: 13.1. All Northern Territory Riders must have an official race number issued by MANT. 13.2. All number plates on all machines MUST comply with the 2017 GCR and, be legible. 14. GRID POSITIONS: Grid positions will be determined by a peg draw. Riders must pick their own peg. Pegs are not to be swapped once drawn by individual rider. 15. RIDERS BRIEFING: A riders briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing on Saturday and Sunday. ALL competitors MUST attend. 16. DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 16.1 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency. 16.2 If any doubt exists over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact the Drugs in Sport Hotline, tel 1800 020 506. When drug testing takes place, the payment of prize money may be delayed at the discretion of MANT until the results of the tests are known. 17. CODE OF CONDUCT: All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia by-law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCRs), which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced. 18. TIMETABLE: Scrutineering: 6.00 pm 7.30. pm, Friday 14 th July at Alice Springs Motorcycle Club, Ilparpa Race Complex Butler Road, Alice Springs. Any rider who cannot attend must contact the Race Secretary prior to that date. All bikes may be subject of a random inspection. If unable to attend scrutineering on Friday night please contact the Race Secretary prior to scrutineering. Your bike can be scrutineered at sign on Saturday and Sunday morning at 7.00 am prior to riders brief Riders Brief: 7.30 am, Saturday 15 h July & Sunday 16 h July 2017 at Ilparpa Race Complex Butler Road Alice Springs.. Practice: 8.00am, Saturday 15 th July & Sunday the 16 th July 2017 at Motocross Track (2 practice laps for each class). Racing: will commence on Saturday and Sunday morning following the completion of the practice laps. For the purposes of drug and alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 7.30am Saturday 15 th July & Sunday 16 th July 2017 with the completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has vacated the venue.

19. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: 19.1 The natural terrain motocross track is 1.6 km. The corners consist of flat and bermed corners. The track is mainly hard-pack with 2 sandy corners. The Pee Wee track will be a shortened track. Races will be in a clock-wise direction. 19.2 The motocross track is 1.2km in length. The track consists of man-made jumps, flat and bermed corners. The start line is located in the centre of the track and adds a further 200m to the track length. 20. STARTS: Starting gate positions will be determined by a peg draw. The natural terrain motocross track consists of twenty one steel drop gates. Motocross track consists of twenty eight steel drop gates. Prior to the race commencing the 30 sec board will be shown for 30 seconds. The gates will be dropped between 5-10 seconds after the 5 second board is shown to riders. 21. RACING: All classes will complete 2 practice laps. Demonstration Mini Bikes 50 cc 3 laps x 10 minutes on shortened track, 50cc Division 2 and 65cc classes will consist of 3 rounds of 4 Laps. All other classes will consist of 3 rounds of 5 Laps. 22. NOISE: 2017 GCR noise emissions must not exceed 102 Db (a) unless a lower limit is provided for in S.R. or in a discipline specific chapter of these rules. 23. GST: The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of prize money. If you do not provide an ABN or declare the sport is a hobby, the Promoter must withhold 48.5% of prize money over $50.00, which is otherwise payable to you. Please tick one of the boxes on the entry form and if appropriate provide your ABN to ensure the full amount of prize money is paid to you. 24. FUEL: The Clerk of Course may direct random fuel testing in accordance with 2017 GCR at any time. All machines must comply with 2017 GCR. 25. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS: 25.1 Any competitor under the age of 18 years must be signed in by a parent. If a parent isn t present a Deed of Appointment of Temporary Guardianship must be completed prior to the event. No other form will be accepted. No form no ride. 25.2 All children under the age of 10 years, must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the pit area. 25.3 All riders must nominate an able body person over the age of 18 years to complete an official duty (Flag Marshall). Failure to provide someone will result in you being disqualified from racing. No flaggy no ride. 25.4 Motorbikes will not be ridden in the pit area. If caught riding in the pits at any stage of the day no ride. 25.5 Alcohol is not permitted in the pit area. 25.6 Riders or their representative may compact or remove dirt at the start line. Repair will not extend past a bike length either side of the start gates. These rules prohibit start line preparation on the TRACK side of the start gate!! 25.7 No dogs allowed, with exception for Guide Dogs. 25.8 Canteen facilities, including breakfast will be available on the day. The bar will be open from 12.00pm. 25.9 The presentation will be held at the Alice Springs Motorcycle Club on Sunday the 16 th July 2017 starting at 6.00pm.Presentation Dinner fees are to be paid with nomination fee. Adults $25.00 and Children over 12 years $10.00 25.10 Admission to the track will be by gold coin donation, the proceeds going to St Johns Ambulance.

I ACKNOWLEDGE that the sport of motorcycle racing is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport and participating in the race meeting I take and am exposed to certain risks and dangers and am under certain obligations as follows: a) that I may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed; b) that my machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed; c) that other competitors may ride dangerously or with lack of skill; d) that track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability; e) that the organisers, officials, landowners/track operators and any agent or representatives of those in charge of race meetings are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time and/or events; f) that any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be avoided; g) that there may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured; h) that I have an obligation to myself and others to compete safely and within the rules of competition. INDEMNITY GIVEN TO ORGANISERS 3. IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of me as an entrant in the meeting I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY the organisers and each of them in the following manner: a) that I participate in the race meeting at my sole risk and responsibly; b) that I accept the venue as it stands with all or any defect hidden or exposed; c) that I indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, their respective servants, agents or officials against any actions or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or rising out of my death or any injury, loss or damage caused to me or to my machine or equipment whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any manner whatsoever. MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA LIMITED ( MA ) DEED OF APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY GUARDIAN FOR ANY COMPETITOR UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OLD 1. I/We of are the parent(s) or legal guardian(s)of ( Minor ). 2. The Minor wishes to enter ( Event ) conducted by the parties in schedule 1 below ( Organisers ). I/we consent to the Minor s entry and participation in the Event. 3. I/We appoint and authorise ( Guardian ) as temporary guardian(s) and custodian(s) of the Minor, whilst the Minor has entered and participates in the Event. 4. I/We acknowledge that motorcycle sport is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport and participating in the Event the Minor, takes and is exposed to certain risks and dangers including that: (a) The Minor may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed; (b) The Minor s machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed; (c) Other competitors may ride dangerously or with lack of skill; (d) Track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predicability; (e) The Organisers, officials, landowners/track operators and any agents or representatives of those in charge of the Event are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time and/or events; (f) Any policy of insurance of or in respect of the Minor s life or physical or mental health may be voided; (g) (h) There may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of the Minor if injured; and Entrants including the Minor have an obligation to themselves and to others to compete safely and within the rules of competition. 5. In consideration of the Organiser s accepting the Minor as an entrant in the Event I/We agree to indemnify the Guardian, the Organisers and each of them in the following manner: (a) That the Minor participates in the race meeting at my/our sole risk and responsibility; (b) that the Minor accepts the venue as it stands with all or any defects hidden or exposed; (c) that I/We indemnify and hold harmless the Organisers, their respective servants, agents or officials Against any actions or claims which may be made by the Minor or on his behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or arising out of the Minor s death or any injury loss or damage caused to the Minor or the Minor s machinery or equipment whether caused by negligence breach of contract or in any other manner whatsoever. 6. I/We release & forever discharge the Guardian and the Organisers from all Claims that I may have or may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with this deed or from the Minor s participation in the Event. 7. I/We declare that the Minor is medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Event. 8. I/We authorise the Guardian to administer or have administered to the Minor such medical treatment as may be required to treat any injury, damage or loss that the Minor may suffer as a result of participation in the Event. 9. I/We authorise the Guardian to direct the Minor not to participate in the Event if participation constituted an unacceptable risk of causing the Minor harm, injury or death.
