Apple Creek Golf Course offers your golfers an opportunity to enjoy our golf course with its natural setting, free from urban influences. Our Crew take pride in maintaining the course in excellent condition for the discriminating golfer. We are very excited to offer our clients our new 18,000 sq. ft. clubhouse. The Clubhouse will include great facilities for golf including a Golf Pro Shop, Lounge and Grill and an assortment of banquet rooms that can host both small and large groups up to 500! We are also pleased to welcome our new Director of Golf, PGA Professional, Tyrel Babkirk. Tyrel has over 15 years of golf shop experience and together with our experienced Tournament Coordinator, Loretta Apthorp, we look forward to ensuring that your event is the best that it can be. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES In order for your event to be successful, we need your help in providing sufficient information in a timely fashion. This includes: Executing the attached tournament registration form and payment of the deposit. Receiving the balance of the deposit calculated at 50% of the estimated value of the event 30 days prior. At this time the Client will be required to confirm the meal option for the event. Receiving confirmation of the size of the tournament 10 days prior to the tournament. Receiving the list of players 7 days before the tournament, including foursomes, unless assistance is required in forming groups. Finalizing the proximity markers required (for example closest to the hole, long drive, long putt, etc.) 7 days prior. Finalizing the number of meals required 7 days prior. Full payment is due 2 days prior to the tournament unless other arrangements are made with the Tournament Coordinator. Deposit Terms: (PLEASE NOTE) 100% of the initial deposit will be forfeited if the tournament is cancelled within 60 days of the tournament date by the client. 100% of the 50% deposit will be forfeited if the event is cancelled within 30 days, unless Apple Creek is able to book a tournament of similar size on that date. Preferred payment can be made by Visa, Amex, MasterCard, and Cheque/Cash To confirm the TOURNAMENT DATE the deposit must be paid for at the time the contract is signed. COURSE ALCOHOL RULES: (Mandated by the Alberta Liquor Control Board) Personal alcohol is not permitted, all beverages must be purchased from Apple Creek Golf Course. SHOTGUN STARTS: Shotgun Starts are available, however a minimum of 60 players is required and start times may be discussed with the Tournament Coordinator. Full shotguns will only be granted to events of 100 or more, and, Apple Creek reserves the right to fill shotguns up to 128 players. Otherwise a modified shotgun start will be used. Note: The minimum amounts either 60 or 100. Your group will be invoiced for 60 players in the event less show up OTHER ITEMS Power Carts are supplied by Apple Creek. Tournament Coordinator will be required to sign a damage waiver prior to use of the cart. In addition, the Tournament Client will be held responsible should damage occur and Apple Creek experiences difficulty in collecting for the amount of the damage incurred. Tournaments are expected to continue irrespective of weather, unless the Golf Course Superintendent deems the course unplayable. All food and beverages must be purchased at Apple Creek Golf Course. Apple Creek Staff are required to enforce Responsible Beverage Service, which includes limiting the amount of alcohol consumption. Tournament clients are responsible for their players who may require a ride home. Apple Creek Golf Course will be pleased to assist in providing prizes from merchandise to gift certificates. Be sure to contact us ahead of time so we can properly prepare your prize packages. Group Lessons can be arranged prior to your Tournament start time. 1 st Tee Gifts with a logo design are available Example: Hats, Balls, etc. Hole in One can be initiated through the course.
APPLE CREEK GOLF COURSE POLICIES Please circulate this information to all players playing in your Tournament GOLF ETIQUETTE: Repair all ball marks and DRESS CODE: Please, No jeans, cut offs, tank tops, sweat pants or swimsuits. Golfers who look the part, play the part! Soft spikes, only; Metal spikes are not allowed. A selection of golf shirts will be offered at a reduced price to ensure there is a collar. POWER CARTS: Power Carts are supplied by the golf course. Players are responsible for any damages to power carts, and the Tournament Coordinator will be required to sign a damage waiver WEATHER: Apple Creek reserves the right to decide when play is suspended due to the weather. FOOD AND BERVERAGES: All food and beverages must be purchased at Apple Creek Golf Course. Outside food and beverages are not permitted on the course without written permission (in the case of sponsorship). SPEED OF PLAY: A maximum of 4 ½ hours is expected. SLOW PLAY WILL RUIN YOUR DAY, MARSHALS WILL MONITOR PLAY AND WILL ASK PLAYERS TO PICK UP THEIR PACE, AND IN SOME CASES MOVE TO THE NEXT HOLE IF THEY ARE WELL BEHIND AND HOLDING UP OTHER GROUPS. This will keep the game going at a steady pace and ensure an enjoyable round for all golfers. ENVIROMENTAL PLAY RULES: Play all hazards as lateral hazards. 2 club length relief from point of entry take a 1 stroke penalty. Use the drop areas where provided. Do not enter environmentally protected areas around the property. 2 club length relief from point of entry and take a 1 stroke penalty. The environmental areas are protected in accordance with governmental regulations. Players who enter these areas are subject to significant fines. If your ball is outside an environmental area, however the environmental area interferes with your stance or swing, take free relief at the nearest point, no closer to the hole. Take free relief from all trees less than 15 feet high for stance and then swing or if the tree is ribboned or staked. The Driving Range is out of bounds.
