Looking for a great way to get some exercise? Take a hike! But before you do, work with your family to mix up Guy s awesome trail mix. differences can you find between the hiker and his reflection? Packed with flavor and energy, it ll help you go the extra mile! Studies show that 6 to 12-year-old kids need to take 12,000 to 15,000 steps per day to stay healthy!

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. 2. 3. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, except cranberries, stirring well to combine. Lightly grease a sheet pan with nonstick spray. 4 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats (not quick cook) 2 tbsp dark, unsulphered molasses 1/2 cup maple syrup (good quality) 3 tsp finely minced rosemary leaves 1 cup dried cranberries 1 cup slivered almonds 1/2 cup golden raisins 1/2 cup canola oil 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg nonstick cooking spray 4. 5. 6. Spread mixture evenly on sheet pan and place in oven. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring every 7 minutes. Let cool on rack and add dried cranberries. When completely cool, store in airtight container for up to 1 week.

Cooking a meal is fun, but remember that helping clean up afterwards is all part of the deal! One way to keep track of how many steps you take in a day is to get a pedometer (a device that counts footsteps). Another way is to count the number of steps it takes you to walk to places you go every day. steps from your bedroom to the kitchen? steps to your school (or your ride to school)? steps from your couch to the bathroom? steps to walk around your grocery store? steps to walk to a friend s house? steps to walk around your block?
