CLUBHOUSE HOURS Spring Hours are now in effect. The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Thursday 11:00AM to 9:00PM, Friday & Saturday 11:00AM to 10:00PM and Sunday 9:00AM to 12:00PM for breakfast only. The Golf Shop will be open Tuesday through Friday 11:00AM to 3:00PM, Saturday 9:00AM to 1:00PM and closed Sunday and Monday. Clubhouse News Jennifer Dolph General Manager Happy Spring! Or is it? Looking out at a white golf course it s hard to believe that Opening Day is less than 1 month away! Having taken several trips around the golf course I am very happy with the progress and excited about this season. All of our TORO work has been installed and Jeremy can now control the irrigation with more efficiency and consistency. We also have some very exciting things coming for the driving range and tee boxes this season! Keep an eye out for photos on Facebook and emails. I want to thank everyone that came out to our Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt. It was a great day and the first time I have seen an egg hunt with too many eggs! Don t forget to make your reservations for Mother s Day Brunch which will include bottomless mimosas this year! Member Appreciation Night and our New Member Mixer are happening this month and will be fun and exciting ways to mix and mingle with other members and staff alike! The theme of the Mixer is a Mixology Mix-off where Myself, Brittany, Chris and Catie will be competing for the drink of the month for May. I appreciate your votes in advance! During 2016 my goal is to provide a consistent product and services for members at Fox Meadow. While I know this is a process and we won t be perfect all of the time if you have any feedback, both positive or constructive I welcome the email, phone call or conversation. We can t make better what we don t know! I am excited to be here and thank you for being patient with me learning over 500 new names! I promise I will get there in time. Membership News Brittany Starnoni Golf Shop News Hello Fox Meadow Members! Director of Sales Spring is finally here well sort of. As soon as the weather begins to cooperate with us, Spring will definitely be here! We have an amazing Spring Referral Program available for all of our current Members along with our Membership Challenge! The Membership Challenge began on April 1 and will go until May 30. We have 60-days to bring in 40 referred members. When we reach our goal, we will host an all-inclusive party for our New Members and their sponsoring Members! What do you get when you refer a new Member? Depending on your membership category will determine your referral gift. Current Full Golf Members who refer a new Full Golf Member will receive a complimentary Trail Fee for 2016! Social and Social Golf Members who refer a new Full Golf Member will receive a credit to their account in the amount of $350.00! All Members who refer Social or Social Golf Members will receive a credit to their account in the amount of $152.00 (Social Golf) or $102.00 (Social). If you know someone who you think will make a great FMCC Member, please let me know and I will send them a personalized invitation on your behalf. Golf Shop News Chris Lawson Hello Members, Head Golf Professional It is now April and it sure doesn t look or feel that way outside. However, I do know that the warm sunny days will be here before we know it. I am definitely ready to have some players on the course and coming through the pro shop! There have been a vast amount of upgrades so far, with the pro shop facilities being renovated, and all of the new Men s, Women s and Junior golf apparel in stock!! I am extremely pleased with the new direction we are headed. If you have checked out the website under the golf section, we have the 2016 Tournament Booklet, Ladies League Information, and the 2016 Jr. Golf Packet are all up to date and listed. The 2016 Tournament Booklets are in! This book has a vast amount of information in it, and my full golf members should read it cover to cover. There is information on the Past Champions, Golf Committee & Handicap Committee, Tournaments, Leagues, and other social golf activities regarding the golf department. Tournament Registration has begun. We are currently accepting registration for the 2016 Men s Opening Day Shamble, Season Long Match Play s, and the Member-Guest Invitational. There are a limited number of spots in each tournament so please do wait to sign up! The Tuesday Night Men s Golf Kick Off is Tuesday April 12 th with an informal skins games. The official start date is Tuesday May 3 rd at Weymouth. If you register by May 3 rd you will have a chance to win you registration fees back!! Tuesday Night Men s Golf is almost every Tuesday from April 12 th through September 17 th, you don t want to miss out on these great night of golf! The Tuesday Night Men s Golf will also host Free Guest Play Nights, Brat s & Brews, Longest Night of the Year Play, and even $1 Dog Night! The 2016 Foxy Fashion Show is going on April 30 th, here at Fox Meadow Country Club. There will be a luncheon and fashion show raising money for CHARITY! The models will be wearing all of the new offerings from the Pro Shop. The men will be showing of the new collections from Nike, Under Armor, Footjoy. The Women will show off the new Check-Mate collection from Lady Norman, Ladies Foot Joy, and Nike. We will even be showing of the NEW Youth lines with Nike and Greg Norman. The 2016 Trail Pass Stickers are now available. In order to use your own private cart on the golf course there are few requirements that must happen. You must purchase the annual resident trail fee, which is a onetime fee for the unlimited use of your golf car. You will also need to show proof of insurance on the car, which can be purchased through your home owner s policy. When you turn a copy of the insurance policy into the golf shop, you will complete a cart pass agreement and then you will receive your Trail Pass Sticker. This sticker must be displayed so that we can accurately identify you cart being eligible for use. If you golf cart is not registered you may use one of the clubs carts until you receive you sticker. I am excited about this upcoming season, and pleased with the direction the club is heading. I think we are going to have a great season for golf and I am looking forward to the constant improvements being made around the club. Golf Course News Jeremy Slota Golf Course Superintendent Membership of Fox Meadow, As we enter April, mother nature has still not made up her mind what season she wants. While March brought us two days of record temperatures, our first full week of April feels more like February. Weather aside the greens and grounds department is continuing to check off tasks in an effort to prepare for opening day. As most of you know the Toro central irrigation system installed and we will be firing up the system in the next seven to ten days. Even if it is cold or wet we will be able to dial in the system to fit our needs. In regards to the irrigation package, both Jake and myself attended a Toro Regional irrigation seminar. We learned the ins and outs of the computer system to better irrigate our facility. With this knowledge we will be able to break down the watering to avoid both wet and dry areas caused by the pervious irrigation computers. On the golf course, we are continuing with our efforts to finish the edging and pushing up of bunkers, trimming trees, cutting down dead or dying trees, and edging concrete paths. We have started to put out grass seed in areas affected by grub damage. Landscape plans have been drawn up and material ordered to improve the visual appeal of some of the beds located around the Clubhouse. All greens and tees have been mowed, fairways have been started, but no rough has been cut yet. All further mowing will depend on the weather; we are unable to put heavy machines on the grass with the risk of damaging the turf. We are, however, out there daily rain or shine trying to accomplish something on the course. We look forward to having the course dry up so we are able to continue our work and more importantly allow more play. When we have the course closed or cart path only it is an effort to protect the golf course. When it is this wet out, it is not beneficial to have cart traffic or mower traffic. We appreciate your patience and continued understanding. See you on the course!
