We will plan on finishing the cover over the boardwalk in front of office, and any stage repairs that need to be done; maybe hang some cabinets in the kitchen. We could use some ladders, screw guns, skill saws, hammers or nail guns, and someone not afraid of heights 12 foot maybe! Come on out if you can, we ll feed you lunch. It s been a busy few months with us hosting the State Wild Bunch Championship then the Halloween match. I want to thank everyone who helped with the Halloween match. Bent Star, Crocket Bullet and Cowtown Jack helped write the stages and Cowtown Jack, and Sidewinder Sid help refine the stages and set and paint targets. Everything went off smoothly. Sidewinder Sid did a great job on lunch and most everyone I talked to had a good time. I was surprised only one or two came in Halloween costumes, everyone else came in their normal SASS costumes. It is that time of the year again, time to renew your membership. A membership form should be included with this newsletter. Most of the money from your membership renewal goes to pay for our insurance. The rest goes to range improvements. As like in the past anyone who gets their form to us before the end of the year will get one CVV bucks for an individual and 2 for a family renewal.

I have checked our Bylaws and they only describe how elections are to be run, not when. The CVV officers have talked about this and to make it easier to find officers for both clubs, we feel the election of officers should be staggered. CVV one year and Lone Star the next. We have talked about this and with the way bylaws are worded we would like to extend the term of the CVV officers by one year. This will stagger the elections making it easier for both clubs to find replacement officers. Also based on the wording of bylaws we do not need to put this up for a vote, but at the November match we will ask for a show of hands on this.
