PE Steven Teng is encouraging more members especially Board of Directors to attend. Secretary Week Date: Tues 21 Apr 2009 lunch meeting Members are encouraged to invite their secretaries to attend designated lunch meeting at SCC to commemorate Secretary Week. Medical Outreach Project with RC Luyang Date: 1-3 May 2009 The project will be done on Bangi Island where there is a community of poor people. It will be a Primary Health Checkup Clinic and will be conducted in the premises of a local hospital which has just been built. Accommodation will either be in the doctors and nurses quarters if they are available or in chalets of a resort on the island. Our plan is to depart from Singapore on the evening flight of Air Asia on Thursday 30th April and spend the night in KK. We will leave KK in the morning of 1st May by car to reach the ferry terminal which is 2 hours away. The travel time on the ferry is also 2 hours. We will be conducting the medical clinic on 1st afternoon and on 2nd May. There will be approximately 700 persons to examine. We therefore do require the kind assistance of our non-medical Rotarians and their spouses for para-medical checks eg checking blood pressure, and blood glucose, dispensing medication etc. We hope to have your kind support once again. We will return to KK on Sunday 3rd. However, Dr. Rajagopal informs us that there is only one ferry daily from Bangi to KK and hence we will not be able to return in time for the evening flight from KK to Singapore on Sunday. We will need to stay in KK overnight for the flight the next day on Monday 4th May. Any further interested members may contact PP Jimmy Daruwalla

To the accountant, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be. ---------------------------------------------------------------- An accountant was crossing a road one day when a frog called out to him and said, "If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful princess". He bent over, picked up the frog and put it in his pocket. The frog spoke up again and said, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will stay with you for one week". The accountant took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and returned it to the pocket. The frog then cried out, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a princess, I'll stay with you and do ANYTHING you want." Again the accountant took the frog out, smiled at it and put it back into his pocket. Finally, the frog asked, "What is the matter? I've told you I'm a beautiful princess that I'll stay with you and do anything you want. Why won't you kiss me?" The accountant said, "Look, I'm an accountant. I don't have time for a girlfriend, but a talking frog, now that's cool." End of Bulletin End of Bulletin
