JB SPORT HORSES SYNDICATE
A Letter from jordan Dear Friends, I have always believed that in order to reach your goals, you must first create a plan for success and then build a support team who believes in you and is ready to help you succeed. The next few pages of this packet outline the details of my plan, to continue my professional journey with the hopes of representing the United States at the highest level of the sport of Eventing. It has been my lifelong dream to ride at the top levels of Eventing, and I have worked hard every day to advance to this point in my career. However, I am in need of your help to continue in my journey to compete at this level as I begin my search for my next equine partner who will help me reach these goals. My talent and work ethic have allowed me to get this far with the resources I have, but I have recognized that there is a limit to what I will be able to achieve without the right horse and the support behind us. I know that I can compete among the best and win at the highest level of this sport, and this is why I am coming to you, and asking you to consider becoming a part of this fantastic opportunity. I hope that you will join me in this exciting adventure of searching for and bringing along a superstar in the making. Just picture the thrill of seeing your horse and rider on the international stage, knowing you helped someone s dreams become reality. Thank you for taking your time to review the following information, and I sincerely hope that you will consider joining me as I work towards achieving my dreams. Many Thanks, Jordan Ballenger
What is eventing? Eventing is a thrilling equestrian sport that continues to grow rapidly, attracting interest from sports enthusiasts across the globe. Eventing could be termed an equestrian triathlon. It involves working with a horse both on the flat and over fences. The three phases, dressage, cross-country, and show jumping, keep spectators on the edge of their seats with the mix of beauty, elegance, and pure power displayed by horse and rider. The cross-country phase of competition in particular sets Eventing apart from other equestrian disciplines, as horse and rider must be perfectly in sync to conquer massive obstacles at such as water, banks, and ditches at high speed. A great deal of training is involved, especially to reach the top level of the sport, where horses must be perfectly conditioned and riders must be in tune with their equine partner s every move in order to achieve success. Men and women compete against one another on an equal playing field, making Eventing one of the few sports in the world where this is the case.
about syndication In horse ownership syndication, a group of people come together to purchase shares in a promising horse for a upand-coming Event rider. These shares will cover the actual cost to purchase the horse in addition to the annual costs needed to maintain the horse. For example, if you join a horse ownership syndication that offers 10 shares, then you and 9 other people will own that Event horse and help to offset the expenses of maintaining your horse on an annual basis. The costs of owning and maintaining an Event horse can vary greatly depending upon the maturity and skill level of a horse and its competitive program. The good news about participating in the JB Sport Horses Syndicate is that maintenance costs are predetermined, predictable, and affordable, because you share the costs with your fellow owners. Further, if you elect to become a contributor to Southern California Equestrian Sports (SCES), a 501(c)(3) organization, your syndicate contributions are tax deductible and may also assist Jordan in the event that she applies for and receives grant awards for competing with her equine partner.
Jordan began her riding career at a very early age and was quickly introduced to Three-Day Eventing. She competed in her first horse trials at age 7 and has been hooked ever since. Jordan was an active member of the United States Pony Club and the Area VI young rider program in her junior years before moving east to work under USEA Hall of Fame rider and Olympic and World Equestrian Games medalist Bruce Davidson Sr. in the summer of 2007. In the spring of 2011, Jordan returned to the West Coast to plant her roots in her hometown of Loomis, CA, and in the summer of 2015 she ventured out on her own to establish JB Sport Horses. meet jordan Jordan has developed several horses through the FEI levels of eventing and through the 1.30m "A" circuit jumpers. She has a passion for dressage and believes in instilling a strong fundamental base in all of her horses, regardless of discipline. Jordan's riding and training has been heavily influenced by some of the top riders in their respective sports, including Bruce Davidson Sr., Linda Allen, Hawley Bennett-Awad, and Heidi Chote. While riding and training are essential parts of her business, Jordan loves coaching and developing riders who are passionate about their sport to their full potential. Not only a horsewoman, Jordan is also a wife and mother of two. She is incredibly blessed to be supported by such a wonderful husband and family, and she recognizes that it takes a village to make any of this possible, the day-to-day, the weekends away at events, and the management of our horses and programs. I have, hands down, the most incredible village."
