HUNTER DIVISION Hunters shall show over courses of fences that simulate fences actually found in hunting country. Under saddle classes shall be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. In amateur owner, junior, pony and regular hunter classes, horses may be asked to hand gallop collectively one way of the ring, but never more than eight at one time. Light contact with the horse s mouth is required. To be eligible for an under saddle class, a horse must complete the course in one class over fences in that section. All classes will be judged on performance and soundness unless otherwise noted. In each of the Hunter sections a Champion and Reserve Champion title will be awarded to the top two of the four horses which have acquired the most points over fences.
