Valentine s Day Celebrations Valentine s day was a snowy one this year, but that didn t stop Southview Senior Communities from celebrating. Multiple locations celebrated the day of love in their own unique way. The music, decor, service and food were excellent! So grateful! Thanks for all the beautiful preparations, it was enjoyed by all.
Thank you for the wonderful meal you put on for all of us who live here on Valentine s Day. Celebrating Valentine s day, Southview residents were treated to a party with floats, cookies, candy and fun! This Valentine s Day, the staff at Eagan Pointe hosted a candlelight dinner to honor the love they have for their residents. The special surf and turf dinner was paired with champagne and accompanied by flute music. Thank you for a thoughtful Valentine s Day. The entire dining room was beautifully decorated. The tables were beautiful with red plates and napkins, champagne, flutes, candles and carnations. Residents of Inver Glen celebrated by making, and then enjoying, delicious cupcakes. They also got into the holiday spirit with Valentine s Day crafts. Love was in the air at Arbor Lakes on Valentine s Day with wonderful treats and music. Residents of Shoreview celebrated Valentine s Day with ice cream sundaes with all the fixings and beautiful accordion music. Southview Senior Communities 3
Winter Carnivals Every year, even in the snowiest weather, comes the rise of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival. Multiple Southview Communities locations held their own version of the Winter Carnival this year. 1. The Southview location held their own medallion hunt. Congratulations to winners Bob and Judy H. Everyone celebrated with ice cream sundaes afterward. 2. The residents of Oak Park celebrated the Winter Carnival by crowning royalty and searching for their own medallion. 3. Eagan Pointe named their own royalty during their Winter Carnival and held their own medallion hunt as well. They hosted their third annual Coronation Ball as a final celebration to their Winter Carnival. 1.

Congrats to our Contest Winner! This issue s winner is Villas of Lilydale resident Tom McLeod. Tom will receive a $30 Target gift card for complimenting the Lilydale staff. He wrote: I enjoyed the anniversary party in celebration of the tenants who have lived here for five years. The great turnout evidences the affection all of the tenants have for each other. Your carefully planned menu resulted in a delicious spread. You all worked so hard at the party making each person feel special. You have a real gift for planning events. The gifts, beverages, food, background music and the outpouring of tenants resulted in a truly great party. Tom has lived at the Villas for over two and a half years. He moved there with his wife, Barbara, from St. Paul. He was an attorney, Executive Vice President for Thompson West Publishing and also Chairman of the Board at StarTec Investments. He has 8 children, 28 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. What he enjoys the most about the Villas are the people, the wonderful management and new friendships. Please consider writing a compliment to a staff member or resident and submitting it to the Residence Director. For each issue, we pick a random winner from all letters, emails and memos submitted. It s Time for Some Football Inver Glen staff, residents and family members participated in a weekly Pick Em pool during the NFL season. This year s first place winner was Bette Hoffman with Joyce Lundell in second place. Congratulations!
Weird Science The residents at the Willows of Ramsey Hill enjoyed a science experiment with the preschoolers from Crocus Hill. They made volcano oranges! Groundhog Scavenger Hunt Residents of Arbor Lakes took on the challenge in teams to find groundhogs hidden throughout the building on Groundhog Day. They were given a list of riddles and clues to lead them to the groundhog sightings. Way to go teams! Southview Senior Communities 7
