The Ritz-Carlton Club, Bachelor Gulch Fall 2012 IN THIS ISSUE FAQ with Housekeeping 2 Letter from Vail Resorts 3 Annual Meeting Recap 6 Dear Ritz-Carlton Club, Bachelor Gulch Members, Our Ladies and Gentlemen at your Club are anxious to welcome you and your family back to the Vail Valley for another adventure-filled winter season in the mountains! The last several weeks have been utilized to prepare all Club residences for the busy months of ski season that are nearly here. The most significant improvement during our slower season has been the installation of new Bosch microwaves, induction stovetops, and ovens. These new appliances have truly provided a fresh, updated look to the kitchens, and will help to reduce our energy costs as they are some of the most environmentally-friendly appliances available on the market today. Thank you, as always, for your time in completing our Member Engagement Surveys that are sent via email each time you depart from a visit to your Club. I am pleased to report that our overall scores are trending six percent higher than our 2011 year-to-date result. We truly value your feedback, and continually strive for perfect 10 vacation experiences at each and every opportunity. As a reminder, Member per diem rates require that a Member of an ownership interest must be in residence for the discounted rental rate to be honored. You can receive other discounts through your Bachelor Gulch Club membership such as 15% off food at Spago, 7 Deli, Daniel s Cantina, Buffalo Bar and in-room dining. Toscanini, The Gashouse, Beaver Crepes, Beano s Cabin and Saddleridge offer 20% off. You must present your current BGC card when you place your order to receive any of these discounts. Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated. New this winter season, we are pleased to announce that we are now providing complimentary coffee through a very popular local coffee company, Vail Mountain Roasters. The upgraded flavor will truly be an enhancement for our Great Room coffee bar! Again, welcome back to your Club, and please let the staff or I know how we can make your next experience in Bachelor Gulch the most memorable experience possible! Warm regards, Brad Jeffers General Manager The Riz-Carlton Club, Bachelor Gulch PO Box 3379 100 Bachelor Ridge Trail Avon, Colorado 81620 Phone 970.343.1128 Fax 970.343.1143

I made a request for a specific time for daily housekeeping service. Is this guaranteed? We make every attempt to service your residence at the time you requested, however we sometimes have several residences requesting the same time. Morning Housekeeping service is available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and evening turn-down service from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. If we cannot honor your original request, there may be another time Housekeeping is more available. Please let us know if another time works for you. When will our sheets be replaced? Fresh linens are provided every Wednesday. I forgot to remove our Do Not Disturb sign this morning when we left, will we still receive housekeeping service? We respect every Guest s expectations of privacy and will not enter your residence if the Do Not Disturb sign is displayed. If you missed morning service and removed the sign upon your return later in the day, Housekeeping will provide turn-down service after 5:00 p.m. Members may always phone the front desk to request towels, bathroom amenities and other items they may need between services, or to let us know your unit is now available to be serviced. We have some friends coming up for one night to celebrate an anniversary and told them they could stay in our residence. How many rollaway beds may we request? For the safety of our Members and emergency responders, one rollaway bed per bedroom is allowed. This ensures that Members and Guests can evacuate quickly and safely in the event of an emergency. We just had a baby and will be bringing her to the Club for her first visit soon. What baby items can you provide? We have cribs, Pack N Plays and high chairs available upon request. Be sure to let your Member Experience Concierge know about the new addition to your family so these items are ready for your arrival. HOTEL RENOVATION next spring The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Bachelor Gulch will be closed a little longer than usual this spring for a soft goods renovation. In celebration of its 10th Anniversary, the hotel is embarking on a renovation program to refresh and enhance the property s already unique mountain lodge decor within its guest rooms and public areas. The hotel has constructed a showroom so Guests will be able to see the final product. Most of the work will be completed during the hotel s closure this spring from April 1 to June 6, 2013. Other renovation activities will continue until the project is complete in December 2013. Please note that the hotel will be closing one week before the Bachelor Gulch chairlift shuts down for the season. Club Members will still be able to access the lift, pool, fitness center and spa during the closure. Outlets such as Spago and the Signature Shop will however be closed.
3 Fall 2012 Bachelor Gulch Letter from Beaver Creek Ski Resort Beaver Creek Adds New Terrain In preparation for the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, Beaver Creek is putting the finishing touches on a new women s speed course, which benefits skiers and riders by providing 17 new acres of skiable terrain and 30 new acres of snowmaking. The new acreage includes widening and connecting existing trails on Upper Peregrine as well as a new trail which will be used for the lower portion of the women s course. The 30 new acres of snowmaking along with upgrades to existing snowmaking will create a better quality snow surface for all skiers to enjoy this season and it will be part of the resort s signature grooming on black and double black diamond terrain. Dear Ritz-Carlton Club and Bachelor Gulch Members: We are gearing up for a great season at Beaver Creek Mountain and have already seen the first snowfall of the season on our peaks. We invite you to come join us November 22nd to April 7th 2013. We want to take this opportunity to share what s new for this season and to reiterate the winter lift ticket amenity program that comes with your Ritz-Carlton Club membership. Johanna Barrows is back this season as the Product Sales and Services Manager at Bachelor Gulch Ski and Snowboard School. Please stop by and say hello when you arrive this season at the Bachelor Gulch Ticket Office located inside The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Vail Resorts award winning and popular ski and snowboard application Epic Mix added Epic Photo last season. This season our guests can see how they stack up against World Champion Ski Racer Lindsey Vonn and share their results with family and friends. Beaver Creek will launch EpicMix Racing December 15, 2012. For more information visit EpicMix. com. Following this letter please find the 2012-2013 Lift Ticket Amenity Policy. It is important you review and understand the information carefully. Vail Resorts routinely audits the issuance of lift tickets issued to Club Members. Abuse of the lift ticket privilege is considered fraud and has serious consequences, including reimbursing Vail Resorts for the full daily rate of lift tickets, as well as the loss of skiing privileges at Vail and Beaver Creek. A reminder that Ritz Club Tickets are valid at Vail and Beaver Creek only. In addition to lift tickets, the Bachelor Gulch Ticket and Ski School Office can help you with ski school class lesson tickets and booking private lessons. In order to facilitate your ski and snowboard school requests please use the contact information listed below: Advanced reservations for Children s Class Lessons: 1-800-503-8748 or www.beavercreek.com Because most children staying at the RCCBG have lift tickets, it might be easier to buy the Lesson Only tickets from the Bachelor Gulch Ski School Office once you are here Private Lesson Requests: 1-866-231-0667 or email bcskischool@vailresorts.com If you will be with us over the busy holiday periods, please get your requests in early so we can do our best to accommodate your request. For pricing and additional information please go to www. beavercreek.com. 4 Fall 2012 Bachelor Gulch Lift Ticket Amenity Policy 2012-2013 Season As in the past, please continue to contact your Club Member Concierge with your ticket order a minimum of 48 hours before your arrival. Guests may be required to purchase a standard lift ticket for the first day of their visit if their RCC lift ticket request was not received by BGSS at least 48 hours in advance. The cost of such purchased tickets will be refunded if the Guest returns to BGSS with the used ticket stub at the end of their first day of skiing. At that time, BGSS will refund the used purchase ticket and give the Guest their RCC lift ticket as ordered. We will have a Bachelor Gulch ticket desk located inside the RCCBG staffed on Fridays and Saturdays once we reach our regular season beginning Mid-December providing greater guest service for member and guest access. BG Owners and RCC Members and their guests or renters (collectively referred to as Guests ) may only receive the RCC lift tickets when they are physically staying at the RCC Bachelor Gulch. They are not entitled to the RCC lift tickets if they are staying at the Ritz Carlton Hotel or any other public lodging property or private residence. The RCC lift tickets cannot be split among Guests. Each lift ticket is assigned to a designated Guest by name and cannot be transferred to another guest. BGSS will load RCC lift tickets on to a Media Access Card with photos for all Members and Guests. This practice has been put into place to minimize the possibility of RCC lift tickets being used by person(s) not designated to receive them in the order. In order to issue a Lift Access Card, BGSS must have complete names (including Jr., III, etc.), date of birth and address for each Guest. Accurate dates of birth are very important, as they help minimize confusion if two Guests have the same name (e.g. father and son). Note lift tickets can be loaded on previous years card, so please let the concierge know and he/she can note your card number, saving you a trip to the ticket office upon arrival. Only members and guests who are in occupancy of a unit will receive lift tickets. Additionally, up to a maximum of six tickets per two-bedroom unit and eight tickets per three-bedroom unit will be issued. Only residents who have reservations for more than seven consecutive nights will be allowed to change names of residents for lift tickets a maximum of one time The maximum number of RCC lift tickets permitted for any Guest s stay is based on the number of nights they are in residence. In other words, the Guest may ski on the RCC lift ticket either the day they arrive or on their departure day, but not both. This practice assures that the RCCBG is not paying for 2 Guests to ski on the same day. IN THE NEXT ISSUE OF CORPORATE NEWSLETTER If the Guest has another active Lift Access Card product such as an Epic Local Pass, or a School of Shred Pass, please let your concierge know. Ritz-Carlton Club Tickets can be loaded on to the same card and will be scanned before any other active pass product. If a guest has inadvertently used their purchased pass or tickets instead of the RCC lift tickets during their stay, please contact the BGSS as quickly as possible so that we may process the appropriate adjustments to the Guest s account. Important Reminder: Abuse of the lift ticket privilege is considered fraud and the guest will be responsible for reimbursing Vail Resorts for the full daily price of the lift ticket. The abuse of this privilege may result in the loss of skiing privileges at Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts. Lift tickets are non-transferable and may not be resold.
