SOUTH EAST JUNIOR A HURLING LEAGUE Valley Rovers 3.13 V s V s Courcey Rovers 1.12 On Monday last Valley Rovers took on Courcey Rovers in the South East junior Hurling league. In what was an entertaining game throughout it was Valleys that started the brighter and were in control for most of the first half and went in at half time leading on a scoreline of Valleys 2.07 V s Courceys 0.04. After the break Valley once again took control and a Rory O Sullivan goal put Valley out of sight. CAMOGIE SOUTH EAST JUNIOR B HURLING LEAGUE Valley Rovers 5.20 V s Belgooly 1.11 On Tuesday 6 th of June our Junior B Hurlers took on Belgooly in the Junior B Hurling league. From start to finish Valleys were in total control and ran out comprehensive winners on a scoreline of Valleys 5.20 V s Belgooly 1.11. Special mention goes to Tomas Sweetnam who scored 3.07 from play on the night. Good scoring at any grade. Valleys fielded 2 teams and also had plenty subs with over 25 girls in attendance. In the Blitz one team played Kinsale, Bandon and Barryroe winning all 3 Page 2 of 5
games, the other team played Barryroe, Bandon and Newcestown winning 1 and losing 2 narrowly. Below is a picture of one of the teams. Pictures of players involved on both games over the weekend. A few supporters also took the opportunity to get in for a photo. JUVENILE UNDER 12 s This week saw Valley Rovers welcome Douglas to Brinny in both Premier 1 & C3 Rebel Og Hurling league action. The pitches were in impressive condition, considering the heavy rain that fell in the previous 24 hours. Numbers from Valley were good again with 3 teams lining out. The teams played Ballinhassig, Ballygarvan & Ballincollig and came out on top in most of their Page 3 of 5

matches. Some standout performances from Charlie Kelleher Barry and Shane Barrett. A John Fentonesque score from John Hennessey and Ger Cunningham style reflexes from Alex Bemelman were among the highlights. The squad is developing well and the dedication to training is paying dividends. In all a great morning out was had by all.
