A viewing deck offers the opportunity to watch camper tennis skills improve. Locker rooms available in the tennis facility. Our oversized heated pool offers welcome relief from summer temperatures. Play, laugh, swim under the watchful eye of lifeguards. Restrooms, a playground, snack bar and area lawn complete the swimming complex. Picturesque views from every vantage point. RVCCTA is ideally situated amongst a serene and beautiful backdrop.
Reda Akbil Director of Tennis / Head Pro One of the most sought after pros in the region, Reda is a native of pain who attended Drexel University where he played # 1 singles and doubles. During the past 6 years, Reda acted as Juniors Director in Overbrook CC and Radnor Racquet Club, as well as Head Director of a Tennis Farm. He currently works with many adults and up and coming Juniors stars. Ruth Dickinson Teaching Professional Ruth, originally from ngland, joins our team bringing a wealth of experience after 15 years in the Philadelphia area. Formerly the Head Tennis Professional of Radnor Racquet Club and Director of Dickinson Academy, Ruth s unique teaching style and understanding of the game has produced many collegiate and top junior national players. Ken Harmon Teaching Professional Ken has been a UPTR teaching pro for 17 years. Prior positions include Lead Pro at both the acclaimed Julian Krinsky chool of Tennis and Chris Hills Tennis Academy. Ken acquired advanced teaching techniques training from the Bolletteri and Van Der Meer Teaching Academies. T H P R O Amanda Frantz Juniors Director Amanda played collegiate tennis at Philadelphia University (#2 singles and #1 doubles) and has the second most career combined wins in the university history. UPTA certified professional with 5 years teaching experience. he is currently ranked #24 in Middlestates Women s Open ingles and #2 in Women s Open Doubles.
P R O G R A M Designed for Juniors of all ages and playing abilities, the RVCCTA summer program offers two tracks which ensure your child is progressing at the correct level while having fun. Rain or shine, our program targets essential tennis techniques using a supportive approach that helps develop a life-long love of the game. Junior Program Our Junior Program for beginner and intermediate players focuses on learning the game and having fun. Understanding the basic fundamentals is key to enjoying and being successful at all levels. Our world class staff will give each pupil the individual attention needed to dramatically enhance skills. Challenging and fun games will create a competitive yet supporting environment for all ages. The daily program will also include swimming and offcourt activities. Advanced Program The Advanced Program is for the more competitive player who is looking for skill refinement, matchplay and tournament play. Fundamentals are emphasized but each player will be guided into styles of play best suited to them. Improved technique will better each player s shot increasing ability and consistency. During match play, players will learn about decision making and being tactically aware. Part of the day will include footwork and agility to develop speed, strength, endurance and balance. This program is designed with drills, matchplay and analysis to help develop the ideal competitive environment for each individual student.
In addition to tennis, the RVCCTA summer program offers tons of summer fun. ach day has been planned to offer the ideal mix of tennis instruction and other activities essions begin on June 14th and are offered through August 28th. Non-member participants must pre-pay for the snack bar lunch option. Please select option on enrollment page.
